Her legs had twisted backwards until they filled a groove in some way, or until their holes were filled and caught the wall, allowing her to retract her wings and press her withers and croup flush against it. It was not effortless to hold herself against the wall, but neither was it particularly difficult.She felt something move her position ever so little, and her heart raced for several moments. A single muscle in her right hindleg compensated for the movement to otherwise keep her still, and now her head twisted slightly so her right eye could look downwards: Her brood had shifted slightly, and now noticeably leaned her lopsided womb rightwards. Almost all of them were awake, looking at her head and every other which way—without much in the way of understanding. The membrane containing them shone with condensation; she let them fade from her attention as she watched a droplet of water run over them—over her—before it collided with another, and after more collisions it began to run down her gut until it was out of sight. Her eye focussed on them once again as she felt then saw a pair of legs buck on the far side, nearly out of her view. From within her they could make no sounds, so she returned to ignoring them. They were awake because they were hungry, because she was hungry, because she hadn’t eaten beforehoof; she wanted them to be awake so they would see what she did.Her mind took her to a previous pregnancy and what she’d done during.-
Ponies had been camping, a few stallions and mares, but unfortunately no children. They hadn’t known what was attacking them in the midst of the night, but it had sent them scrambling in separate directions. One stallion had heard the screams of his friends, one-by-one, and it had never occurred to him why he had been so lucky to escape. He couldn’t have known that the mother of the monsters responsible had told her children to leave him for her.He ran a short ways as fast as he could, as ponies always did, before he tired. With heavy breath, he took a moment to think about the predicament in which he found himself and his friends. A cliffside prevented him from going further, and a pegasus he wasn’t. He took several minutes to calm his breathing. In place of screaming, there was silence. Surely he would return to civilization to get help. He swung around to run from the cliffside, and faced the queen of the changelings with her neck lowered to have them at eye level with each other; her wide smile showed every fang in her mouth, with drool falling between them; her green eyes stared into his soul without blinking. Whatever hope his friends had held in their hearts surely died when they heard his screams.-Queen Chrysalis frowned when her stomach rumbled, not loudly but enough to vibrate them into another bout of restlessness. She smiled at the cramped, squeezed little faces in her womb just as she’d smiled at that stallion so many years ago, but their reactions were less entertaining: She saw a few imitating her with curls and bends forming across their little mouths, mouths only she could currently feed. Unlike that stallion, they weren’t food despite taking up space in roughly the same place; they were however the only useful byproduct of food beyond keeping her alive. That stallion had belonged to her whether he’d known it already or had to be taught, but they belonged to her even more. Made in her image, every speck of their bodies past that which had come from their irrelevant father had been a part of hers first, and most of that had been stewing in her stomach just beforehoof; every little curled body she felt pressing outwards against her looked like every other she’d yet to see and all others she’d ever see looking back from inside. They were hers and only hers the very moment they’d come into existence, and she would ensure they understood that after their maturation.Her mind returned to that stallion again.-
He stepped backwards over-and-over, looking into her hungry eyes, until his hindquarters butted against the cliffside. Her crooked horn glowed, and only then could he see the rest of her: Shoved into each other inside her gut dragging the ground were children—he couldn’t discern them as her children in the dark—and his hoarse throat screamed again at what he thought to be countless body parts from devoured foals digesting inside her. Her tongue exploded from her mouth alongside whatever fluids her body produced. Without a unicorn horn to help him, he turned around without thinking and bucked with all his might once she was too near.Effortlessly, she grabbed his hindhooves in her magic and shoved him upside-down into the cliffside. His legs were bent backwards painfully, albeit not yet enough to shatter their bones, and he whimpered with closed eyes. She was eating him, but not in the way he’d expected: Gently, she kissed his stallionhood, bringing one of his orbs into her mouth as if to taste it while her tongue coated him, then the other orb. Snot exploded from his face to mix with tears. He felt his body betray him, leaving his sheath to greet her, and she may have giggled when she bent her neck several ways to swallow him whole. He felt her hot snorts just barely escaping her nostrils with his orbs nearly sealing each one.Finally, he opened his eyes and looked up at her. She looked happy, but he couldn’t find the emotion behind her hard, black features. The eye closest to him looked all around until it noticed his, and then its pupil narrowed in understanding. He could tell that she was trying to grin around him; her actions became faster and tighter, and he looked away to close his eyes, but not before getting a proper look at her gut with the green magical glow illuminating it: He would’ve been relieved to know she hadn’t consumed dozens of foals, for half a moment, could he have thought straight; evil little green eyes set in evil little black faces smushed against the inner membrane stared back at him, every time he looked away from one pair he saw another, and nearly as bad were the rest of their evil little black bodies. He forgot he was upside-down with how many of them inside were upside-down also, right-side-up, or twisted and contorted in a way that made it hard to tell. Their bodies writhed against the others like snakes in their den, and he shook when a rear end without an owner he could see bucked towards his head, before realizing it couldn’t reach him; the thin membrane stretched so tightly around the pair of little hooves he saw that the action brought other parts of the others closer as well. He squeezed his eyes shut tight and coughed when she reminded him, painfully, that he was in her throat; his body betrayed him again, and he emptied himself into her. The magical glow around his forehooves vanished, leading him for a moment to think that she were finished with him.-
Queen Chrysalis’ eyes focussed again, and darted in every direction of the cave system before settling on the temple of her body again, filled with worshippers and demanding sacrifices. She hadn’t been paying attention; there was only the blind spot directly underneath her which she couldn’t see, neither could she crane her neck far enough in any direction to look around it. She waited for several moments more, listening to the quiet, and then her horn hissed—very little—with a gentle green glow. Magic formed a cylinder above her brood, and forced its way through her outer layer; she watched her children squeeze even more tightly around the magic, but out of the way—there were not so many of them that she needed even to adjust her hindlegs, they simply and wordlessly made her slightly wider. As the magic lowered itself deeper, it took longer for them to be moved out of its way, until the final foal hugged the cylinder tightly for lack of space. Now she could see through herself directly underneath her body and, as expected, nopony was there. The hissing and glowing of her horn ceased, and instantly the cylinder collapsed; they flooded the space again, and she put more effort to stay still while they swung helplessly back-and-forth. She noticed she was very nearly no longer lopsided, so she squeezed the thin bands around her womb as tightly as she could to make herself certainly lopsided no longer.It took her a moment to remember what fun had been passing through her mind before she’d been plucked from her reverie. She smiled at her body again while she thought about that stallion—whom she was fairly certain still lived—not noticing when the droplets of water were joined by drool falling from her fangs on their little faces. She saw plenty of him inside her, but he’d see none of himself within her.-
He saw the little monsters swinging side-to-side as she lumbered even closer to him; she set herself on top, and the only good thing that could’ve occurred to him was how he could no longer see the monsters inside their more monstrous mother, though he felt them squishing him into the dirt at nearly every point of his body. She let go of his hindlegs that kicked uselessly underneath her as she smothered him. She was waiting for her children to arrive and help her—he’d probably not suffocate before then—with her body contorted to allow her forelegs to rest above her gut. A loud burp was the only noise she made; he was getting harder to hear by the moment.In the light, where ponies could no longer convince themselves that nightmares had taken hold over them, she’d force him to worship her body and understand how nothing could befit his kind better than fathering her children.-Her stomach rumbled again. Her tongue coated her muzzle with saliva involuntarily. Her children had informed her that this cave was occasionally explored by ponies, as an activity of leisure, and that today had been a scheduled day for a small group of stallions—some young, some older. She could hear their delectable screams already. Unhappiness was a rare emotion from the queen, mania more often taking its place. She looked at the little bodies compressed within her, thinking about their futures under—and outside—her. If her children had been wrong, and she’d been waiting on the wall for hours unnecessarily, she always had a new child to take the places of those who had displeased her.
