I didn't know there was a G6 already. I got so tired of endless drama in the fandom that, for a couple years already, our general has been literally the only pony thing I still cared about.After the abhorrent last seasons of FiM, after the speculation about G5 and a brief arguing about Zipp Storm, the thread eventually reached a point of maximum comfiness when we left all that shit behind. It was nice to come here to see new art, or old art, to read some green, to discuss some detail about her, to love Scootaloo, all that stuff. I've been here for over a decade, but it was in these last two years when I realized that this calm was what I enjoyed the most. Just admiring my favorite pone, without having to worry about anything else.Now we'll have people coming here to tell us how awesome the new Dash is. And maybe they'll be right. And we'll have people writing how everything about the new show is awful. And maybe they'll be right. But I don't want to know who's right, I just wanted things to stay like they are now.I'm not trying to doompost about G6, I don't think any possible version of Dash could be worse than what H*ber did with her, may he rot in Tartarus. And it's not that I think that a new gen would necessarily be bad, I quite enjoyed G5, and I absolutely adored Pony Life, sorry not sorry. But after getting over our hardest times and enjoying a well-deserved peaceful time, I don't have the energy to start all over again. I find it too exhausting.

I really want to get back into writing but I find it hard to get into the creative mindset to do it these days; previous stories felt like epiphanies that I had to write down before the idea escaped and I just don't get those anymore. I think about writing every day but when I make effort to clear stuff off my table to make the mental space I need to write, something else inevitably pops up. My love for Dash is still flourishing, I just need to find a way to tap into it amidst the distractions which is entirely my own issue to overcome.
