She’d go hiking to some bumfuck Ural mountaintop or field, and for the majority of us who’d never get to personally see it, she put it on the page so that for just a moment we could appreciate the view too. She had a talent for it, and I know it’s irrational to personify the indifference of nature, but it’s hard to accept that it didn’t love her back. Even more so, maybe I’d find some solace if the flood had happened while she was hiking, painting, or otherwise doing what she loved, instead of at home. I just hate that she’s not here with us any more and that this is how it happened.Condolences to her friends, family, and especially her parents; I can’t imagine what they’re going through right now and I hope they know how loved their daughter is.
