So, the power plug showed up today, and I swapped it out. She certainly moved faster, but when I turned her to the left or right, she didn't seem to want to point the right way. She'd either adjust a little bit to the right, or adjust way too far to the left....
I then decided, why is she on the end of the piano anyway? Fuck this lamp, it can sit on the end, so I swapped her position with the lamp.
And, well. She didn't like that either. She just entered spin mode...

...So I thought, well, damn. Looks like 8V 3A is too much for her. I swapped back to the old power supply, and... no? Still spin mode? Slower, but still spin mode.
It was about then that I finally started to question the sense in placing an object with a compass inside of it on top of an upright piano- you know, an object with a huge chunk of metal inside of it?

So, I displaced the lego (not actually lego) JPE100 from its position overwatching the living room, and Moon has moved atop the china hutch, where she no longer spins. I guess I'll have to give it a few days of seeing how close she is to pointing at where the moon is to see if this works...
My only concern about the china hutch, it's not perfectly level. It's 2 or 3 inches from the wall at the base, but at the top, it's resting on those picture frames, otherwise it'd probably be leaning against the wall. I'm not too sure how these mechanisms will handle not being perfectly level over time...
But I also am not sure where else to place her! I'm starting to think about adding a shelf somewhere in the room, if I can figure out where the studs are. I do have a very large CRT she could sit on, but I'm not sure how level the top of the CRT is, and idk if a CRT would fuck with the compass either.

Very strange. Makes me wonder if the servo is not reporting its current position correctly. If it always reports zero or something like that, I could see it doing a big spin as it tries to get to some target position and never reaches it (according to the sensor). IIRC there is some timeout to avoid overloading the motor, which is probably why it stops eventually instead of just spinning and spinning. If you want to check for this, hook it up to the computer and see if the "current position" measurement is changing or not as it spins.

it was when I checked, but maybe I'll try hooking her back up with the new power supply and see how she behaves, if she's still inaccurate.

not really any connection to the world or purpose in life, I question if I really love ponies too when that happens and if Equestria really is there or not.

anon i need to tell you something very fucking important if you're doing this as well

i tried doing it a bunch and got very close but it was only due to absolutely smashing caffeine to a ridiculous extent

i found out my meditation was fucked because my sleep was actually horrific, all my attempts for the past year have been dead in the water regardless of effort

i've picked up doing intense cardio, calorie deficit and SR

anything to maximize health/energy for the sake of having the best floor for meditation

I'm telling you fully to stick with it, I got far but that was a fluke entirely based on the heart exploding amount of caffeine I had to compensate for my lack of sleep and I was just meditating on a whim for practice during some down time at work, got the stable light and it was insanely surreal, though my coworker tapped me on the shoulder to ask me something knocking me out from going further, but it's fucking real and now that my life is stable as of this week, I can afford to be way more into this than last year.

keep going anon, I'm working on this alongside you and can confirm there is light at the end of the tunnel ;)

>I question if I really love ponies
More people should. Many fans love the characters, portrayals of ponies, in a simulacrum setting. The multiverse is real and infinite. That does not mean that it contains everything, merely like how there are technically an infinite number of nonintegers between 1 and 2, but none of them are 3. It’s my speculation that anything that can be imagined by a sapient entity must exist and thus any derivatives of imagined fantasy worlds or characters must be possible within the infinite set of universes within the existing multiverse. But whatever humans for example create based on these possible existences will not be the existences themselves. The Princess Luna of the show is not the Princess Luna that exists in actual universes and actual Equestrias, although there should be similarities between the real and a simulacrum. Waifufags who obsess over these simulacra of ponies will forever close themselves off to the ponies themselves, loving an idol or idealized version as opposed to a real one. Fans of Princess Luna might be at an advantage though, as her simulacrum has the ability to traverse dreams and almighty alicorn magic; if a real version of the pony exists and has the same abilities as her simulacra, she may be able to use her abilities to traverse even our dreams. Whether or not any version of her would help any of us if one could is debatable though.
>>
>>43407274
>i've picked up doing intense cardio, calorie deficit and SR
What counts as “intense cardio”?
I don’t need a calorie deficit since I’m underweight and I have no idea what “SR” means.
I’d read /fit/‘s sticky again but that sticky is outdated for fitness advice that I have no idea where to get my bearings.
>>43407301
wow schizobabble, thanks I guess?
Could’ve just kept it to “people like idealized portrayals and that you have to seek out the pony you love to truly love them”.
>>
>>43407315
It could be schizobabble but the point was that liking a character’s portrayal is different from liking the real thing. If you want to try going to a real Equestria with real ponies, you need to avoid getting stuck in the trap of simulations and simulacra. Expectations based on simulacra will prevent you from going anywhere beyond delusions/simulations.

NTA but thank you for the advice. I just tried meditating for the first time yesterday and managed to get a weird spinning sensation and a few ripples in my vision. Nothing else really but more than i actually expected. It's nice to see that other moonfrens are also trying this out.
>>
>>43407315
>intense cardio
come to think of it i actually don't know a legit definition of where the boundary of "intense" cardio is in comparison to moderate or low intensity cardio, however i've been judging based off the fact i'm sweating my ass off in a room cooled down to 60 degrees and my heart rate is high as fuck, no actual exact measured number on the 'beats per minute' tho

>underweight
i never really considered what impact this would make on how energetic someone can feel. i'd imagine blood pressure is at least better than mine, although I have literally zero context on anything else relating to this so I can't make anything of it.

>SR
semen retention, I honestly think it's important but it's over blown in a lot of ways

think about it logically, fap ur boner and ur sleepy, don't fap ur boner and ur not sleepy, that's all there is too it. just makes you more energetic throughout the day. u ain't gonna get no wizard powers or nothin.

>/fit/
in regards to getting your bearings i can't speak for fuck all on it in a manner that's actually useful. though I've wondered whether having more muscle would also make you feel less lethargic compared to being a total twig.

wish I could help you further, but considering I haven't traveled yet, I don't have context as to what might be more useful beyond what I know I struggle with for myself.

the only piece of advice I think would be most important is realizing a hope for the future, there's something about not having something to look forward too that makes you lethargic beyond any fatassery or malnourishment possible that will fuck you in terms of being able to have enough energy and wakefulness to focus on the meditation required to travel.

for me, i genuinely love the anons on this board, they've done so much for me. playing games with them and having a blast, i really REALLY want these guys to be able to have the best lives possible and if I can travel then they can experience it as well, especially for those who might have the same road blocks as me. this gives me a sense of responsibility and a hope for the future, the idea that not only can i be self serving with this, but also be a sort of 'bug fixer' for any road blocks in the process of doing the equestria project gives me a reason to keep going forward so even on days where i could be fucked over by external conditions, which will inevitably happen, i don't feel like compromising on my progress for the sake of any sort of hedonism because the idea of helping both myself and the friends i care about so much is by far the most hedonistic and happiest outcome possible beyond anything. I truly believe if the goal doesn't feel realistic enough the effort won't last since you'll just start to feel aimless. thank fuck i got proof by pure chance, essentially gave me massive clarity on the fact that its real.

>semen retention, I honestly think it's important but it's over blown in a lot of ways
I guess that makes sense, not like I’m a gooner or anything though but I don’t really get horny frequently regardless.
>I never really considered what impact this would make on how energetic someone can feel.
Doctor says my blood pressure is lower than usual, and I usually sleep in when I get the chance. I kind of struggle to wake up if I’m allowed to just keep sleeping even if I have 9+ hrs of sleep beforehand.
>the only piece of advice I think would be most important is realizing a hope for the future
I don’t have much hope with the state of things. And I don’t find it easy to get more hopium since even my expectations for G6 not being utter dogshit got shattered.

It should have forgot about her harder. Luna's whole thing is wanting recognition from the general public for her work, and after 1000 years banished, she finally gets it. Then after only 5-10 years at most, she just quits? Wtf were they thinking?

Was Maid Luna common before Tamers?
I don't like his works and I don't intend to, but when looking through the booru I've seen a couple of pictures tagged with his name, as if he's the godfather behind it.
I like the dynamic in these pictures of Celestia abusing her authority over Maid Luna, it's very sensual.
But did he really make it on his own or was there any other piece of art or written work that inspired this? I'm coping and it's hard for me to believe that something as cute and sexy as this came from him.

>Sometimes she takes hold of their front hooves with her own, and pushes them further in that way.
>As soon as their neck gets within range of her tongue, it wraps tight around, pulling them deeper.

>You drop the bags in the sand and start sprinting towards the ocean.
“First one to reach the buoy wins!”
>Behind you, a surprised Luna complains about your unfair headstart, but you have already reached the waterline.
>You dive headfirst into the clear water and swim under the waves.
>You emerge a few meters away from the buoy and turn around, blinking away saltwater.
>Your eyes search for Luna.
>Then you hear the sharp crack of a teleportation spell behind you.
>You spin around, just to be greeted by a smug grin.
“That’s cheating!”
>”The only rule we agreed upon was that the first one to reach the buoy wins this contest.”
>Luna reaches out with her wing and touches the bright yellow buoy.
>”Therefore, I win.”
>You want to complain again, but it’s hard to stay mad at her when she is smiling so brightly.
>Instead, you choose the much more satisfying option of splashing her with water.
>Luna’s surprised gasp turns into laughter, and she starts swimming towards you.
>”This will have consequences, Anon!”, she says with a giggle.
“I would take your threats much more seriously if you wouldn't look like a duck while swimming.”
>Luna glares at you playfully.
>Her horn lights up and you feel yourself getting pushed under the water.
>You emerge again, gasping for air, much to the amusement of Luna.
>”The Princess of the Night takes the appearance of a graceful swan when in the water, Anonymous, thank you very mu– eep!”
>Now the princess is the one getting dunked under the water.
>You two spend the next hour playing and splashing around like little foals, unbothered by the occasional glances from the other bathers.
>Exhausted and with burning eyes, you eventually return to the beach, lying down on your towels to dry out in the sun.
>Luna takes out sunglasses and an old book, while you just enjoy the warm feeling of the sun on your back.
>You start watching her while she reads.
>You could do this for hours. The azure sea in the background, warm sunshine illuminating everything brightly and in the center of it all a beautiful blue mare, oblivious to her surroundings.
>If you had a camera with you, you would try to capture this moment, and then probably get disappointed because no photo could really do it justice.
>Instead, you just lay there and enjoy the warm feeling in your chest that you only get when being with this one particular mare.
“The moon looks beautiful today.”
>Luna looks up in confusion.
>”You jest, Anon. ‘Tis the middle of the day.”
>You shake your head and smile at her warmly.
“I’m not talking about that moon.”
>Luna blushes.
>”You can be quite the charmer if you want to, Anon. And…”
>She leans towards you and gives you a kiss.
>”You are pretty dazzling too.”

I tried meditating but then my crotch began to tingle and my cock went erect and distracted me.
What the fuck causes this? I was actually doing good until it derailed my train of concentration.
>>
>>43419993
We're you ever a gooner before?
All the same, it's normal for some beginners. When you're meditating, the "energy" in the body starts to refine and transmute from gross to subtle. It becomes extremely pleasurable. Your mind & body aren't adjusted yet though, it doesn't really know how to process pleasure that isn't rooted in sensual desires YET. So it approximates it to the closest analogue it has based in sensory experience (for now).
The next time it comes up, ignore it and keep going back to the practice. If it becomes totally unbearable, take a break and walk around or something, then go back to what you were doing. After a few times, it won't happen anymore and the mind will gradually experience more profound rapture. You'll also become a lot "stronger" mentally otherwise.
>>
>>43420137
Just to clarify- ignoring here means "note that it happened and return to what you were doing before". Same thing as any other distraction vis-a-vis instructions given.
>>43407274
I meant to respond to this earlier, but I'm glad things are getting better in your world.
I think you'll be getting it soon. Make sure to relax and enjoy yourself. If you wanna catch up, shoot me a message.
>>43407836
>I truly believe if the goal doesn't feel realistic enough the effort won't last since you'll just start to feel aimless. thank fuck i got proof by pure chance, essentially gave me massive clarity on the fact that its real.
Its always neat seeing when people realize "oh fuck, this actually works".
You'll get out soon. Know I already said that, but I'm fairly sure I'm right. Just direct your mind (gently!) to the place you wanna go when the time comes.
>>
>>43420137
>Were you ever a gooner before?
Sure
>The next time it comes up, ignore it and keep going back to the practice. If it becomes totally unbearable, take a break and walk around or something, then go back to what you were doing.
Alright cool, was worried it was something worse. Biggest issue for now is trying to ignore the strain in my neck from sitting up straight and my joints which is a bit uncomfortable.
I really owe Luna some effort doing this..
>>
>>43420180
>Sure
That'll do it. Every intentional action you do in your life (good/bad/neutral) sets up a kind of feedback loop mentally.
This is why continuity is really important in meditation. The more you do it, the more it builds up.
Same is true vice versa. Right now you're experiencing the cause & effect from your past as a gooner. Your body is adjusting to the idea that pleasure doesn't always need to be sensory based.
It'll go away after about a week, id reckon. You may get some other neat psycho-somatic experiences as well, but those will pass with time. You might experience a few flare ups of sex or general sense desires off the cushion though, so keep an eye on that. You can also experience a little turbulence where sensual desires try to reroute into another avenue (eating, arguing, etc).
But if you're on your toes, it should pass after a little bit. Just don't get lost in your head and stay present.
>Alright cool, was worried it was something worse. Biggest issue for now is trying to ignore the strain in my neck from sitting up straight and my joints which is a bit uncomfortable.
If you have to, use a chair. Find a way to sit down in good posture where you're comfortable, but awake. It's possible your posture may need some adjustment, depending on your body build and or how you're sitting.
Strain should only be very mild and temporary as you develop. If it's a consistent problem, adjust as needed.
>I really owe Luna some effort doing this..
Just have fun! Let it be something you enjoy and it'll become very powerful. Effort should be relaxed, joyful but diligent. If you're doing it for Luna, let that be a way for you to inspire good feelings in your heart. Those will take you much farther than guilt or anxiety.
I think you'll make progress in a week. I could be totally wrong, but that's my diagnosis right now.
>>
>>43420307
Thanks anon.
Other only concern is instinctual fear that happens with spiritual stuff, but that hasn’t been happening lately.
>>

>>43407249
believe it or not that is a sign of spiritual development. doubt is good, and you can flip to love ponies and life again but it'll take research effort from your part.
please consider these posts: >>43254961 >>43254965
i believe in you Anon.

>>43407301
elderanon, I've got a question for you: has a language barrier been a thing with any of your travels?
>>
>>43420477
Also, to clarify, this kind of spiritual development does not really conflict or contradict any other esoteric paths or beliefs you take, like for example, worshipping Luna or doing elderanon's astral projection guide to experience Equestria.
What experiencing the concept I pointed to gives you is just a solid, peaceful mental ground that is self-contained within yourself. It will shift your view of the astral projection work to a fun/curious activity instead of an emotional crutch or expectation (elderanon himself mentions this being a problem with the obsessive aspect of finding *your* Luna... I've been there).
Either way due to the meditative aspect it all subtly points to the same concept anyways. The difference is feeling good all the time, not just when meditating. In my case I know this is what Luna wanted me to understand all along.
If you realized Equestria's subtle allure of a "pure good", you already have a head-start to find out just how deep that feeling truly is.

I googled the words from this pic ("Seolfren Mōna" - means "silver moon") and found this whole album about praising the moon, written entirely in Old English:
https://sowulo.bandcamp.com/album/niht
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_BeKpYMeUY

Example lyrics:
>Ālǣt þæt leoht
>Stæpe intō þære þīestre
>Seo niht nis þīn fēond
>Seo niht is þīn neah freond

>Let go of the light
>Step into the darkness
>The night is not your enemy
>The night is your near friend

(Also I guess that word þīestre/thiestre = darkness must be the origin of "thestral")

I’ve been meditating and trying to get my concentration better, 2 days ago I managed to concentrate for 29 minutes straight but stopped because I felt very jarring out of body feelings that spooked me and as soon as they came up I began to panic.
Mentally my thoughts were just me desperately yelling “hello?” into the void expecting a response, along with trying to make sure I was really entering Equestria.
This is normal right? It really spooked me and I feel kind of bad for letting it ruin my session. I didn’t get the chance to practice meditating today since I was busy sewing and preparing for marefair.

>I’ve been meditating and trying to get my concentration better, 2 days ago I managed to concentrate for 29 minutes straight but stopped because I felt very jarring out of body feelings that spooked me and as soon as they came up I began to panic.
Describe the feelings please? It's normal, but knowing specifically what you felt can help diagnose what happened here. Are you the ex-gooner?
>Mentally my thoughts were just me desperately yelling “hello?” into the void expecting a response, along with trying to make sure I was really entering Equestria.
Do not do that. Just relax and GENTLY direct your mind there. Handling it like that disrupts the process in the early stages. The mind should be collected, calm and subtle. If it's panicked, you're not there yet.
Can you describe everything that happened in detail? Especially what your concentration was like prior and the sensations that came up. If you want faster response, feel free to reach out to my proton.
>This is normal right?
Yes, though it shows that something went wrong in the process. Errors like this happen.
>It really spooked me and I feel kind of bad for letting it ruin my session.
Nah mate don't feel bad, you're all good. Stuff happens, no sense beating yourself up.
> I didn’t get the chance to practice meditating today since I was busy sewing and preparing for marefair.
No worries, though it may be worth considering taking a small unit of time for meditation (approx 5 to fifteen minutes being the ideal) when your time is taken up like that in the future. Helps maintain the continuity so the meditations subtlety keeps building.
>>
>>43450984
Just as a reminder, if you're trying to project, this is done either when you're in this sensation of 3D black, seeing hypnagogic colours or seeing an actual light. The light is the ideal for actual traveling. The other two risk just what's basically lucid dreaming.
When your concentration is built to that point, you very GENTLY direct your mind to the location of your choosing. In this case, equestria. This "directing" of mind is done almost the same way you can direct your mind to going home during a walk. It's like a very gentle "push".
Setting up the intention prior to the meditation will help make this process easier.
If you skim through Robert Bruce's astral dynamics, there's a number of "techniques" that can be utilized instead of directing the mind when it reaches this stage. But directing the mind really is the simplest.
There's another old technique where, upon seeing the light, you mentally intend for the "end" of your breath to reach your destination.
Even still, in the more active methods, projection is still done with the same gentleness as simply directing the mind.
When it happens (arrival) it's not gonna be something where you're unsure about whether or not it worked and floating in some kind of void panicked. When your mind lands, you should be seeing an actual world sprawled in front of you.
There are a few cases where that may not apply(eg- missing the mark and flying into their space, arriving in a world that's died, etc), but otherwise your final landing should always have you seeing the world out in front of you. It's a very blatant experience in any case.
>>
I have some minds eye experience with wonderland and tulpaforcing, and I have been using that feeling of euphoria in solar plexus to both feed it and to have it as my drive, until it broke years ago, and inducing the feeling at will started to produce only pain.
I stopped then, and only have been doing light stuff in the background.

The difficulties I had back then, and have now, is that my mind is never truly calm, and always supplies the content. Wandering doesn't truly fully describe it. There is always music, there is always some thought.
Whenever I am walking I am always deep in it, and I doubt it can't be called meditation.

Recently however I decided to stop pursuing the normal way of tulpaforcing and just swapped it to a kind of devotion to Luna/NMM, with small rituals and words to her.

Some changes I noticed is that sometimes the feeling started to return, and dreams started having some logic to them again while taking a slightly sharper hue, as opposed to chaotic or fully lacking ones I usually have.
I discovered I can unfocus my sight not into a blur but to use the entire cone of vision, by looking into a long distance and then it just clicks. Holding it like that produces a fresh feel in the top of the head right above the hairline.
When trying the guide, the process feels similar to the start of entering of the wonder world, and I am remaining at step one because I am not sure if I ever achieved meditation or just fantasised well enough.
Focusing on one thing, or whining oneself in one place usually gets fucked by the thoughts and I always had to force myself to hold the minds eye thought to not lose focus.

And right now with gentle approach I merely stare into the dark and blue swirls. Yes I get increased shallow breathing that feels like inertia. Yes I can get heavy limbs. Yes I can feel refreshed after. And I am jolting at every moderately loud sound in the process.

And I have no idea how to tell if I am doing anything right.

Luna and NMM are the same in my head and she became my devotion.
And it feels really right and really good.

>Describe the feelings please?
So I was sitting in an upright comfortable position, concentrating. Eventually I try to focus on my breathing and on bodily sensations, and at around the ~24 or ~25min mark I start feeling my consciousness being ripped forward from my body, which freaks me out. Kind of like you’re being thrown out of your body and falling forward.
When I started to panic the sensation quickly went away and I mentally started saying “hello?” mostly uncontrollably out of fear.
>Do not do that. Just relax and GENTLY direct your mind there. Handling it like that disrupts the process in the early stages. The mind should be collected, calm and subtle. If it's panicked, you're not there yet.
Yeah I knew my panic absolutely killed the meditation, but I’ve never felt anything like that before in my life so it was unexpected and jarring.
> No worries, though it may be worth considering taking a small unit of time for meditation (approx 5 to fifteen minutes being the ideal) when your time is taken up like that in the future.
Noted, though I do struggle with trying to sense my breathing; I can tell I’m inhaling/exhaling but I can’t feel the flow of air as easily as others can it seems (probably due to nose shape, it’s a very weak feeling that requires significant focus).
>Just as a reminder, if you're trying to project, this is done either when you're in this sensation of 3D black, seeing hypnagogic colours or seeing an actual light.
Unfortunately I haven’t had that happen yet, but I assume that’s because I didn’t make it past the 40 minute mark, I’m sort of clueless on what I can be doing wrong or right, and it feels like being unable to settle into feeling my breathing is one of the things I’m doing wrong. Otherwise all I’ve seen at most is maybe blobs moving over my vision (since it’s not fully black since I’m in a lit room). Should I move to a darker room or reduce natural light if projecting?

This is a gross form of "energy". Part of why I asked about if you were the other anon was because of your background with spiritual fear.
We store memories of experiences in our lives not just in the brain, but the body as well. The actions and reactions we perform to various things gets processed as psychosomatic energy. A common way we see this is expressed in shaking during and after a traumatic event.
This is just one example. At the gross level, we experience "energy", manifesting as psychosomatic feelings throughout and around the body. Depending on your background, this can have a range of feelings associated with it. Some are quite bizarre.
But they're gross manifestations or a process of "purification". What's being "purified" is the old stuff that your body has been holding onto.
The reason why in particular you felt that , was because you split the practice into two. One was the breath which unified the mind.
The second was your body, which spread the mind to awareness of the "energy" we mentioned throughout the body.
Had you stayed only with one object (the breath, or a similar object to the breath ) you would've experienced this in a different way.
But since you diverted focus onto the body, the mind only developed a partial level of serenity and stuck became engrossed in the sensations that arose.
TLDR;
It's normal, but it wouldn't have happened the way it did if you had stuck only to the breath. Breathing meditation (or a similar object) allows the mind to develop deep tranquility and ease. Focus on the body only allows for a partial development of concentration and makes one more sensitive to mental-physical phenomenon (IE; Energy).
>Yeah I knew my panic absolutely killed
the meditation, but I’ve never felt anything like that before in my life so it was unexpected and jarring.
Don't get too hung up on it, everyone makes mistakes. Give yourself some love and grace and just return gently when you're ready. You'll be alright.
>Difficulty with breath meditation
Deviated septum? You can also use your abdomen if you'd like. It'll be slightly more gross but leads to the same direction if you keep the eyes closed.
The big trick of it is to find an area you can clearly feel the breath sensations. The tip of the nose, the nostrils, the upper lip area just under the nose, the abdomen are some perfectly acceptable examples.
Once you find the area that's the easiest, you stick your mind gently there and watch the sensation of breath going in...out

Review before but the trick really is simple. That can make it difficult due to its simplicity.
You find the area where you can most easily discern the breath moving in and out. The areas I listed - they're all places where you can locate the sensation of the breath moving physically. Once you find the location that works, you stick your mind their and keep watch in a gentle fashion. Notice the beginning and end of the breath sensations. Lather, rinse, repeat. As your mind develops you'll become aware of how long or short they are.
But to start, just make sure you can clearly discern the beginning and end of breath sensations.
If you're following the fourfold transition in the guide, it will help you develop sensitivity to this until you no longer need to use the transition.
>Otherwise all I’ve seen at most is maybe blobs moving over my vision (since it’s not fully black since I’m in a lit room). Should I move to a darker room or reduce natural light if projecting?
Moving to a darker room can be good for allowing the mind to relax and unify around the object, but it's not an absolute necessity. You're clearly making progress from what I've heard so far, just relax and enjoy your practice. You'll get where you need to with continuity and wise effort.

You are experiencing the natural consequences from having tried tulpa stuff.
I know this gets a lot of pushback, but it's something I've been very consistent about. Tulpa is a *terrible* idea. It's the spiritual equivalent of blowing bubbles into chlorine to try and make crystals. I think a lot of the people who spread this around online did so with very bad intent.
I know you said you stopped, but I'm gonna reiterate; do not do tulpa again.
>The difficulties I had back then, and have now, is that my mind is never truly calm, and always supplies the content. Wandering doesn't truly fully describe it. There is always music, there is always some thought.
This is due to your background from tulpa.
In this era there's some normality to a distracted mind. But yours is a unique case. Why? Because your past activities caused your mind to become "scattered".
Tulpa stuff causes a lot of issues. One of which is it lends itself towards creating a very distracted and unreliable mind.
You will likely keep experiencing this and other strange sensations, until the cause and effect from your tulpa activities eventually runs out.
If you do the meditation properly, it will erode rather quickly.
>Whenever I am walking I am always deep in it, and I doubt it can't be called meditation.
Deep in walking? Walking can be used as meditation.
>Recently however I decided to stop pursuing the normal way of tulpaforcing and just swapped it to a kind of devotion to Luna/NMM, with small rituals and words to her.
Devotion is a traditional meditation object. It's effect is that it gladdens the mind and makes it bright. When devotion is treated meditatively, it becomes very powerful. But even rote devotional practice taken seriously and mindfully can create a weaker effect.
>Dreams
This is a result of your devotional practice. Your mind was given an object it could unify around, so your subconscious mind has become less scattered.
Ignore them for now. Unfortunately your past with tulpa will make your dreams unreliable until your mind can settle down.
>When trying the guide, the process feels similar to the start of entering of the wonder world, and I am remaining at step one because I am not sure if I ever achieved meditation or just fantasised well enough.
Fantasization ≠ meditation
Wonderland thing is a meme cooked up by very unwell people. Ignore that completely. The sensations you're describing, they will go away eventually when the meditation becomes right and burns out the past conditioning from tulpa.
When that happens, your practice will give way to something far stronger and far more reliable.
>Focusing on one thing, or whining oneself in one place usually gets fucked by the thoughts and I always had to force myself to hold the minds eye thought to not lose focus.
Stop using the minds eye immediately. That will cause a lot of tension that is unnecessary. Thoughts are normal. Your case may be a little unique, but they're still normal! (Cont)

>>43451601
>This is due to your background from tulpa.
No, it was always there even before that, I suspect adhd. Always lost in thought, always a monologue of some idea that would lead to the feel.
I wouldn't accuse tulpa of it because I already started like this.
>Stop using the minds eye immediately.
Literally impossible. The content I mentioned comes, and always has come on it's own.
>>
>>43451601
If you're noticing them, great! Notice the thoughts when they arise, then go right back. Even if you're bombarded by them, just go gently back to the practice.
You are holding one object and you're allowing your attention to gently come back to it over and over again. You can lose it ten million times, but you'll also be returning ten million times. Every time you notice you lost it and go back, your mind will become stronger. It's not a bad thing to see when you've lost it, it's a good thing to see and go right back.
Same applies to sensations, perceptions, etc etc etc. anything that can come up and distract the shit out of you, it's all the same. Notice it, release it and gently go back to the practice.
Thoughts aren't your enemy, they're just scenery that eventually goes away.
>Sensations
None of those are relevant, and you're likely to get some weird ones for a while. Once you become settled, the sensations will switch out for something pleasantly beautiful and free from sensory input.
>Swirling vortex
Notice it, let it go, return to practice.
>And I have no idea how to tell if I am doing anything right.
The guide(s) gives some very literal signposts for success markers for meditation. Just keep it in mind.
>>43451142
I cover this in the guide so review there (or the panel recording if it still exists) but the short of it is, dreams are based around mental phenomenon. "Karma" if you would. All the stuff that you do in life and experience, your actions and reactions, all that gets experienced in dreams when you sleep normally.
If you're dreaming, due to that, the things you experience will always be personal. Everything you see in a dream will relate back to you in some way. If it's too good to be true..it's probably a dream. If it's highly symbolic, it's probably a dream. If it's all kinda conforming to your expectations...it's probably a dream. Dreams will almost always confirm your own personal reality.
Actually traveling, is a bit uncanny in a way dreams can never be. This is because they're real worlds. They exist as they will regardless of your contribution. They don't conform to your expectations, the same way the world around you here doesn't. There's a definitive reality to an actual travel that isn't present in dreams. You experience them the same way you might going to a location here in this world.
Hope that explains it some. I'll also be around to help, until other anons are successful and ready to help each other with that.

>No, it was always there even before that, I suspect adhd. Always lost in thought, always a monologue of some idea that would lead to the feel.
That makes sense. Just notice when that happens and return to the practice. Let yourself have interest in it.
>I wouldn't accuse tulpa of it because I already started like this.
That being the case, it may be part of why you went towards tulpa.
Things being that they may, just notice when you have stuff pop up and return to the practice.
>Literally impossible. The content I mentioned comes, and always has come on it's own.
When you say "using the minds eye" what I hear is "using imagination". It's possible there may be a communication error between us.
Stuff coming up isn't a problem. If it's coming up, just treat it like any other phenomenon. See it arise, let it go, return to practice.
This stuff does not always come. There are breaks, you just aren't seeing them because your mind follows closely behind the chatter that arises. They will eventually fall apart. And the gap between arising widens with continuity until they simply stop during practice.
Simplifying it
1. Don't use imagination for your meditation. Use an actual object you can clearly discern.
2. If you've got ADHD, it's not over for you. Your learning curb may be steeper, but it's not difficult to get past.
3. You can get lost in phenomenon easier with ADHD, but you don't need to stay stuck there. Once you see it, acknowledge you got distracted and just return back to the practice. Eventually it stops.
>>
>>43451679
>Notice it, let it go, return to practice.
It's right in my eyes. There is no "letting go" of this one, it's not even mind's eye.
Sometimes I get an overlap when there is a light source in minds eye I see the light with eyes, never got anything more than that.

But I guess I'll just keep trying.
>>
>>43451715
> It's right in my eyes. There is no "letting go" of this one, it's not even mind's eye.

>>
>>43451724
Very rarely, and it did happen back when I was trying to do the wonderland thing.
Sometimes it happens when I am getting to sleep, and I get upset something is shining in my eyes, I open them and it's dark and I know I hallucinated.
I can't just imagine light and see light at will though.

Gotta say, seeing alot of progress from anons in thread.
For people attempting the guide, my general experience is the average person takes about a week before they're stable. Some people can hit it in three days, but a week has been the standard for most people prior to traveling to an equestria.
>>43453413
That's normal, after a while it starts becoming pleasant. There's one drawback which is you will naturally want to avoid unpleasant people/situations. But this is also a benefit in the end.
Given the current era, that can be a little difficult, but not impossible and pays off greatly when allowed.
>>43454019
>Well, day two of trying this method was somehow harder.
>Mind wandered into a memory of having to prepare for exams and the feel of anxiety persisted in the shoulders.
Very standard. During the first week, it can be difficult. The thing to do is the same as with any other phenomenon. Notice, let it go, return to object. Some will be very persistent but they all eventually dissipate. Especially difficult hurdles will cause a lot of concentration to develop after moving past them, due to the equanimity built up.
>Maybe it's wrong to do so, but to try and counter/adapt the wandering mind I am shifting my focus to the brightest thing I feel.
Not a bad idea, but also not recommended in this instance. Whatever meditation object you pick, you wanna stick with it. Moving away from the object to something more pleasant can help engross the mind in the pleasant object, but the issue is the mind winds up being victim to more wandering later on.
The mind will wander at first. That's ok! Just notice it and return back to the practice. Eventually the mind stops wandering.

If anything ever gets too intense and you really can't stay on the object, just take a break for a little and then go back to it again.
Otherwise, if it comes up- slap a mental label on it (nothing complicated, just the most immediately appropriate thing), then go right back to the breath.
