What is the world of pony architecture like? Is there a faggot out there like a pony Le Corbusier or Mies Van Der Rohe out there who wants to destroy all charm and replace it all with boring, charmless, structures? What does a modulor pony look like?
>>43394047Canterlot was built with slave labor early on in Celestia's rule.

>>43394047>wants to destroy all charm and replace it all with boring, charmlessWhat the actual fuck? I'm all for affectionately dunking on modernists, but there's no way you actually believe something that stupid. Is it an inside joke from your discord server or some shit?>modulor ponyI don't think ponies would try and delude themselves that other ponies will stop reacting negatively to an environment they don't control if you just wiggle ratios a little. It's a stupid coping mechanism on the architects' part. Besides, who would want to live in something sized like a living being? Unless it's a giant dead space creature, these are cool.Anyway.>erfsMaterially and technologically omnivorous, but rarely go out of their way to spice things up. Practicality first, prettiness second, fun third, and typically just enough action points to achieve two out of three. Brook no city planning, solve conflicts using marearmwrestling.>unicornsThe most diverse bunch out of the big three. For any fancy thing you can think of, there's an ancient unicorn village themed with it somewhere. Imagine stuff like Telvanni shrooms. Modern Canterlot in particular is an attempt to recreate on a bigger scale the spirit of a tightly clustered for defendability mountain village like you can find in our world in Al-Hajar, Dagestan or Ladakh.>pegasiI don't know. Cloud stuff seems easier to work with than everything landbound ponies use. Would it make them more open to rebuilding stuff for no good reason?>bapsPega-like 3d imagination in caves. Subtractive writing and art forms because you can't see colors with echolocation. Sleep perches.>bugsStruggle to grasp the difference between floors, walls and ceilings. Subtle hexagonality of thinking, the more prominent the more feral the hive's mindset gets.>>43394049Libel. Canterlot was built, razed and rebuilt under various names dozens of times before Celestia was even born. According to a legend, the first settlement in that place belonged to giant nephilim ponies.
>>43394047>who wants to destroy all charm and replace it all with boring, charmless, structures?yeah his name is Pablo R. Mayer
traditional unicorn built cities like canterlot often incorporate curves that follows the local magic currents, similarly, mane streets are built along major leylines it is a long held belief that building cities in this way will help strengthen the natural flow of magic and thus unicorn spellcasting as well
>>43394479>I'm all for affectionately dunking on modernists, but there's no way you actually believe something that stupid. Is it an inside joke from your discord server or some shit?nta but logical conclusion of postmodernism IS the destruction of "charm" in favor of "charmless"
