Pencil drawings are relaxing, and being able to sit anywhere and doodle is very nice.And since my line-inking efforts usually end up looking way worse, I get to coward out and just leave them at this stage!I could strengthen all the lines with a black pencil and then do a pass with my color pencils, since doing it over sketchy lead lines usually results in smears. But NOT doing that is also kind of freeing in itself: Feeling like the drawing is entirely done as it is, and I get to move on.I can just throw it into my A4 picture frame and look at it anyway!

Personally also I use a small sphere for construction, since a mare muzzle is rounded from all angles - there are no ridges or flat surfaces except the 'nose bridge' line from straight on. Another thing for show accurate style at least is that the eye line turns in to the muzzle line from 3/4 view. Your bottom right pony shows this, but the angle of the snoot is too shallow, and the eyes are slightly too small, so it looks off. That being said you're not really going for show-accurate anyways, it seems like, so do what you like. picrel is my attempt to help another anon with this same advice a while back.

>>43463724Fucking around until you figure it out. Easy bullshit solution is make a greyish-purple layer on top set to "multiply" and just erase it in the areas you want to be brightest. Alternatively, duplicate the color layer and set to multiply. It's definitely not the correct way of doing things, but it's easy and will give you practice to figure out what look good.
