I know this has probably been aired out by multiple people hundreds of times across threads (even when I first started lurking OPG), but where do you find the drive to play if popens end up being brick walls 90% of the time when you talk in public chat? It feels like all the fun relies on already having friends but most of the ones I like and know are busy with life, and there seems to be no other popen in-sim that shares my same interests.Meanwhile a brand new account made 1 day ago with zero inspiration (just a background pony as their avatar) with NSFW bits will get 1000x more active attention and interest despite barely using chat from sim regulars, meanwhile I don’t have any attention or even help whenever I encounter popen avatar related issues. What sort of configuration do you need to be able to run Baltimare with shadows on while remaining on at least 30 FPS? I swear I saw a video taken years ago of someone with shadows enabled that still got really good performance near the campfire area.I swear enabling shadows almost always cuts my framerate by at least 40%.

I just noticed that Picarto does not downsize user avatars. Sometimes their site is loading a bit sluggish and I noticed that one of avatars in the chat needed a sec to load (doing that top down loading move). Turns out that pic that is only shown in thumbnail size is FUCKING 4 MEGABYTES BIG. How can a site be so wasteful with their bandwidth? Imagine how much money they could save if all avatars got shrunk down to like 30kb and maybe 256sq px size.
