“H-Hearty?” Brass Compass calls to you worriedly, as her arrival and the one of Knifepoint unicorn’s arrival causes the big slime pony holding you to defensively bury you slightly deeper in her massive bosom. “Maybe later.” You say, deciding that this probably means Slime has relaxed enough. You turn to your two friends.
“Sorry to bother the two of you.” You say. “I’ve got a bit of trouble knowing what to do with Slime. I don’t want her to be hunted down like some common monster. She’s just a nice mare and-.”

“And she’s got some very nice teats, yeah.” Knifepoint cuts you, showing you a knowing smirk.
“Ahem… well, the point is that I’d like to keep her safe at least.” You reply, without denying Knifepoint’s point. “Brass Compass? What do you know about slimes? Or slime ponies in particular?”

"I'm… not sure how that's gonna help." Brass Compass starts. "But I do know some things about slimes, since they're a likely creature to inhabit ruins with rampant magic. And that’s related to what they are, condensed magic gone sentient. Nopony understands how exactly they form yet, as the process seems to be random, and slimes are often very different from one another too. It seems to depend on the magic they were born from, but again there seems to be lots of randomness involved too. A lot of them react very strongly to magic in different ways too."

“So… some slimes are just born slime ponies, and that’s about it?”
"Yes, there's a lot of mystery here too.” Brass Compass adds with a nod. “Since they're born from magic, the theory is that pony-made magic can make a slime become pony-like, because of the knowledge and emotion that is carried in magic. But slimes are still driven by very basic instinct most of the time. That’s why it’s often advised to… ahem, pacify them on sight, as it’s hard to tell what they can decide to do. You… are you sure you want to stay in here, Hearty?"

“Don’t you worry, Brass Compass.” You shake your head. “Slime is just one big cuddlebug. There’s no reason to be afraid of her. In fact…”
Using some magic and a bit of singing, you grow Slime a little more. A little more than a little more in fact, as the goo mare swells much larger again around you, cooing in delight as there’s more of her all around you.

“You know, I could be convinced to house her at least for a time…” Knifepoint offers. “And maybe longer if it turns out milking her can make me a profit. Chara told you how you handled this quest. I don’t think your client would have paid you more than what the smile was worth, so if I could find some buyer, I’d gladly provide a ranch for this cow-titted slime and take care of her.”

“Oh?” You perk up. “Did you look into the procedure to be allowed to house a slime like her?”

She’ll likely be confined, but wouldn’t it be much safer than just putting her in a random warehouse where she could escape into the streets at any hour?”
“Perhaps Academia Libertas could do the same.” Chara adds. Hoovesparks left when your scion friend went to bring Brass Compass and Kifepoint here, but you could probably find her agai easily enough. “I don’t know that much about them, but they seem less secretive than the Seekers. Maybe they’ll find a way to let Slime have some more freedom?”

Well, we originally had the milking idea, so how about she goes with Knifepoint for now to detoxify while Brass checks with her contacts about a more permanent living arrangement. Domesticated creature would be a better fate than caged beast or lab specimen after all.

Knifepoint's idea sounds like the most fun and adventurous one, so go with that, though it wouldn't hurt to explore other options in case housing her becomes too much of an issue long-term. Good thing we discovered Slim' muse ability now, because it makes moving her far more convenient (Is there no limits into her switching hosts on the same day?). With that in mind, ask if anyone is willing to test out the 'merge' first to transport her to Knifepoint's home to wash her up. Probably either Brass or Chara, since Knifepoint will probably be...immobile thanks to the curves increase.

Also, use the toast bonus with Ode to Perfection on whoever Slime's host will be as a way to both grow and test to see if Slime's growth will be influenced by her host's curves or if she will grow her curves in her own way.

I saw the postpaste on how we can get another boon for slime since for some odd reason it's not showing on the thread, so Slime has to merge herself with three different mares in order to unlock more bonus for her. Hmm interesting challenge you made especially how cool it is you mentioned that Slime is more affected by Hearty's magic than normal growing her 2x the amount just from a single mana. I don't like the idea of having Brass Compass Seeker Guild confined Slime, not after she was confined once, the seekers will found out more about her through testing, but she'll be a prisoner and they won't let her go they'll only see her as useful magical property not a living being, and probably make it hard for us to see her. Next, the Academia Libertas we don't know much about them to trust them well enough to keep Slime safe for all we know they might make her into a weapon.

Letting her roam in the sewers will keep her safe being on the move constantly, but that will cost us to lose valuable time searching for her all over the capital.

I'm surprised that Knifepoint is actually welcoming the idea to house Slime in her home being her new roommate, probably because she found a way to make it an opportunity for her to rake in more bits and the rogue said it will help us get the money we need for Chara show quicker, furthermore this will also help us gain additional bits while we're doing quests in the meantime, Slime will be safe for harm under Knifepoint protection because if anypony is gonna dare to take Slime they're gonna have to answer to the Giant zebra muscular strength and bone crushing pinning down moves first, Moreover we'll get to see her whenever we feel like it, spend time romancing her a lot, Slime will be free and happy being with Hearty often, and lastly we might be able to convince Knifepoint to merge with Slime for the night today so she can feel the permanent effects she'll have on her, allow us to grow Slime with our powerful surge of mana, and witness how a mare's desires and feelings are more impulsive towards Hearty when they're fuse with Slime.

I choose we take Slime to stay at Knifepoint house, we'll have another mare for Hearty too love as her lover and obtained lot of rewards if we do.

"I have no idea how, or even if that would work." Brass Compass shakes her head. "As I told you, I know a little about slimes, but they're far from being my specialty. We should look more into this before trying anything like that. There are ponies who study slime and slime ponies more extensively."

You reckon you could find such information in a library, or at either the Seeker's or Academia Libertas. Brass Compass doesn't sound like she knows how to register Slime as a regular familiar either, so you might need to find info on that too. Thinking back about Brass Compass' strict and cautious ruling about how to deal with magic, you'd wager the Seekers will likely want to contain Slime in some sort of jail. You don't know enough about Academia to say they'll be any better.

"Since we don't know enough about other options, let's bring Slime to Knifepoint's for now." You say. "And there's an easy enough way we could smuggle her through the streets. With the help of my magic, Slime will be capable to get into another mare to grow her."
"What do you mean, 'get into another mare'?" Brass Compass asks, worried.
"Like water in the earth." You poetically reply. "And it'll make your whole body flourish. And your hunger too. But you'll be in control of course, don't worry. Just make sure not to have too many appointments the next day. Even if it's not dangerous, carrying Slime is guaranteed to take a little toll on you. So? Who wants to try?"

There's an initial silence at first among your companions, but Chara eventually steps forward.

At Chara's size, you'll have to exit the sewers through an exhaust pipe towards the lake. You walk for a while in the dark passages, Chara's groan of annoyance punctuating your journey. There sure are a lot of low doors around here, but from the lusty tone of some of those moans, there might be other things ailing her. You also hear her stomach grumble too from time to time.
Still, you make it out into the sunlight again, Chara letting out an earnest sigh or relief as you do, and ostensibly stretching her massively endowed body to celebrate.

But since we grow Chara with Slime in her body; I think Slime took the toast to reunited with friends instead of Chara so it's possible that Chara extra curves on her thighs will somewhat decrease once Slime comes out of her and have it on her flanks or in her crotchboobs instead. The second scroll recounts a study aiming at reviewing the effects of magic on slimes, and how it affects both their physical characteristics and the mind of slime ponies. Some tests that are described bring the conclusion that slimes soak in magic in their environment, parts of the spells cast on them, and alchemical potions they consume. The effect on slimes plateaus after remaining 3 full days in a given environment loaded in magic, after being subjected to 8 non-damaging spells of normal intensity, or consuming a fifteenth of their weight in alchemical potions. The changes then start to revert after about a month without any other magical input, and are fully dissipated after 3 months. A new kind of magic input overrides the changes of the previous one.
Past that point in the study, there’s a long table on the scroll inventorying the effects of several magics.

With the exception of water, elemental magic gives its relevant property to slime. Fire, frost, and lightning were tested. Fire magic makes slime exceedingly hot, frost makes it colder than ice while the slime keeps its elasticity, and lightning charges it in electricity. Illusion or mind magic makes slime volatile, and gives slime and the mist it then secretes some hallucinogenic properties. Being infused by such magic makes slime ponies act irrationally, even pushing them to random violent outbursts.
Arcane spells increase the range of kinetic transformation a slime can perform, allowing it to harden to a crystalline formation. Infused slime ponies showed increased fear during the tests, and started repeatedly attempting to escape the laboratory.
Poison magic as well as regular poison or acid alters a slime to become poisonous or acid itself, but has no effect on a slime pony’s personality.
Water magic as well clear water strips away a slime of any other element, as though it had spent three months without other magic stimulus.
No matter the element, sacred magic from clerics of paladins did not have any additional effect beyond the other elemental properties of the spells.
The effect of necromantic spells was not observed in the laboratory, but from the accounts of several adventurers, slime and slime ponies infused with it are extremely aggressive and cause dire damage to living tissues on contact.
Finally, there’s a chapter about the viability of creating more of an elemental reagent by infusing it in a slime, but the shown results indicate that there’s an overall one-eighth loss in total potency of the harvested reagents in the case of infusing a slime with alchemical brews, and a one third loss through a magically loaded environment or spells casted. However, these results were calculated by removing the core of the slime and killing it to harvest it. These eggheads didn’t think about giving a slime pony some massive teats to be milked…

The third one will be more useful to Knifepoint, you wager, as it is a catalogue for the use of slime in alchemy and crafting. You tell your friend she has some reading to do once she’s done with the milking.

Finally, the fourth scroll records some attempts at deliberately creating slimes in a laboratory. With regards to existing observations, the necessary conditions are water or liquid in quantity, latent magic coursing through it, and the presence of a stone or crystal compatible with becoming the core of the slime.
The first attempt with thirty vats didn’t show the apparition of any slime after 2 months.
A second study was conducted later with two hundred vats. A single slime was detected 17 days after the start of the experiment. Among the conditions that were postulated to be the cause of this one occurrence, the researchers postulated that it was the relative isolation of the vat that could be a determining factor, as the one slime who appeared just so happened to have been in the vat on the farthest end of the building they were using for the experiment.
They tried again with two hundred vats, but instead of checking every day like they used to in the previous attempt, they’d only check on the facility thirty days later. After that duration, they found 9 slimes in different vats.
The scroll concludes there that isolation is a likely necessary factor for the appearance of slimes, but calls for further research as the event remains very unpredictable and has yet to be observed and properly analyzed. From the little data they collected, they couldn’t find any correlation with the size of the vat, the liquid or the type of stone used. The same water magic was used to create the magic field on all the vats to ensure the slimes wouldn’t escape or cause damage. The researchers didn’t find any sign of ‘near-apparition’ or slime in the other vats either. There isn't any mention of slime ponies in this experiment.

Do not ask me why do they need to destroy a furnace after throwing it off a boat. The mare who brought the documents left before the rest, and soon after they all disbanded. I tried to follow one of them, but I merely saw him purchase the water-breathing potions before going back to drink himself to death with some tar-smelling ale. Because of all the ambiguity involved. It takes someone with finesse and detailed knowledge of the city to not fuck it up, and at the moment we only know one such pony. "Almost certainly, our suspects are doing it for coins." Pale Gleam intervenes. "The way I see it, right now, we're going after hired hooves for a dirty job. It would be best if we could catch the mare who issued orders, but if we put the expedition team behind bars already, whoever's behind this almost certainly won't have the time to set up another attack, or at least not on this shipment. Especially as they'll know security will be reinforced."

"By the way, about that mare." You turn to Pale Gleam. "The one who stole the document from the Syndicate. Do you have any lead on her? I'm afraid our suspects won't know enough about her."
"Unfortunately, I couldn't learn anything more yet." Pale Gleam says. "I was allowed to see the office where the document was taken at the Syndicate's, but I found no clues. They asked for two days to list the ponies that have access to this room. It was past midnight already at that point, so I left it at that."

"And the reason for this whole scheme..." You continue. "Do you think they could be trying to harm or capture Whirl Gold eventually?"
"Sinking a boat is already a very important attack." Pale Gleam replies. "I'm not saying that's the goal, here, but if whoever is after him is ready to go to such lengths, it is not impossible they might try to harm Whirl Gold directly."

Besides, these crimes are way too serious to be ignored. We WILL catch the culprits. Us, or other knights will."

"That's right, White Gold." You try to encourage her. "Even in these circumstances, I'm excited to go on an adventure with you again, and to see what you're capable of!"

"If they try to escape, which isn't sure, we'd have to be clumsy enough to let enough time to grab and drink the potion, find a way to dive underwater, and swim away fast enough so that keeping our breath with be an issue. I do believe the three of us are enough and it won't get to that point."

Now, before you can think about the mare who took the document out of the siege of the syndicate, you have 6 ponies total to arrest. From what Hilda told you, 2 of them are mares.
As per knightly etiquette, the suspects will be issued an order for arrestation first, and violence is permitted only if they refuse to comply, and only in proportion. Only the three of you will approach the suspects to avoid causing a commotion, but you'll deliver each one to the guards before going for the next one.

"Well…" The larger mare fidgets on her hooves. "Can I go with… 'Surrender now, criminal scum! Your plan to sink a merchant boat has been found out. You're under arrest!'"
"I… I'm gonna take care of the first suspect." Pale Gleam says, stifling a cringe. "You'll simply have to follow my lead."
For the next part, White Gold grows to become 10 feet and a half, which will probably make these arrestations much less troublesome. And indeed, even for the first when Pale Gleam does the talking, the thug's eyes immediately go to the now huge squire in armor and her greatsword, and he doesn't even try to resist.

In the end, only one of the criminal mares tried to escape as you showed up at her apartment. And even after your magic gave her bigger glutes and longer legs for running, you and Pale Gleam caught her without incident and she surrendered. As she was unsure if it was the right time to give chase, White Gold is particularly frustrated that she couldn't help in that catch.
"Come on, I'm sure we could have gone with my phrasing!" White Gold complains as you escort the final suspect to the guards. "If she had started running at 'criminal scum', I would definitely have known it was time to jump on her."
"More of them would have tried to run if you scared them like that." Pale Gleam replies. "And there's a chance we could have lost some of them, even. If you show restrain, criminals will know it can get much worse if they choose resist, most of the time. But if you make them feel like you're gonna be violent right away, they'll be too scared to cooperate, and they can get violent not only on you, but they might even put bystanders in danger as they try to escape."
"Evil ponies don't deserve restrain if they're ready to do that…" White Gold harrumphs in reaction, visibly still unsatisfied, but she doesn’t say anything more.

"I believe you did well with the arrests." Pale Gleam says with a light smile instead. "This is how a proper knight behaves. We got all six of them, and you didn't have to draw your sword."
White Gold remains silent, her teacher's encouragement not alleviating one bit of her frustration.

Soon enough, you have the suspects locked separated at the guard post, and you and White Gold accompany Pale Gleam as she interrogates them. She presents the charges and testimonies and asks the suspects for their respective alibis. Of course, all of them deny there's any kind of scheme going on at first, but quickly enough they recount different stories to attempt to show a clear record. Some of them pretend the meeting of the day prior didn't happen, while others say it was simply them hanging out and having fun. Their group is either one of honest dock workers, friends who met at a marriage, or adventurers that don't have a job right now, depending on who talks. The extra mare being with them exists only in the stories of two of the suspects, first as a distant friend, then as a cheap whore who wore business clothes for fetishy purposes.
With all these contradictions written down, Pale Gleam goes again to one suspect, the one at whose residence you found the potions ready. And after confronting him with the more likely versions of his comrades for each step of the previous day, he eventually confesses the scheme. The rest will follow shortly after, Pale Gleam confidently tells you.

Still, the thugs managed to agree on one thing, as none of them admitted to have received any kind of payment yet. Pale Gleam doesn't believe it one second.
"Nopony would accept such a dangerous job without a cut of the reward in advance." She states. "Each of them must have hid it somewhere. White Gold, Whispering Heart, would you mind searching for that while I keep interrogating the suspects? Sorry, I know it's boring, but it's also part of the job and I trust you more than the guards here to find some hidden stash."
Given the situation, you didn't send Hilda away today, and her nose will make this task an easy enough one. White Gold lets out a sigh of annoyance at her teacher's request, though. The yellow mare was doing her best to pay attention while observing Pale Gleam interrogating the suspects, but she was all jumpy the whole time, and she clearly wasn't very inrested by it.

“White Gold…” You’re not sure how to make her feel better at this point. “How about… while we search for these coins, I’m sure we can find some more compromising stuff on the suspects. We could use what we find to make sure they’ll do what we say.”
“Oh, good thinking!” White Gold says. “These criminals surely have some more crimes they don’t want us to know about. Let’s find all their dirty secrets!”

At least, White Gold seems a little less gloomy now.
As expected, Hilda helps you find the payment these bandits already got without trouble. In addition to the hefty sum of coins, you manage to discover a few more elements that could have the bandits obey you. One mare among them has gambling debts, another stallion seems to nurture an addiction to some mushroom powder, and you find a currently lonely pet bird encaged at the other mare’s place. Overall, you find a few other obligations these shady folks could get some trouble for if they get back in the Gutter. That could be an ace in your sleeve to negotiate with them, but you’re about certain it isn’t very knightly to use this information to put these criminal ponies under pressure. Even if you could argue they’d deserve it in some way.

"So, she’ll be around?” White Gold perks up. “We'll have a chance to catch her at this point!"
"A slim one, but yes." Pale Gleam nods. "Though, if her team isn't here as she planned, she's gonna turn tail immediately. It would be nice to have our suspects help us with that and pose for their former client, but… so far half of them refused, and they don't even know what the others said yet. They'll probably choose safety unless almost all their pals agree to help us. I already offered as much of a reduced sentence to them as I'm allowed to."

Hmm this is interesting I'm not sure what to choose, not C that's for sure there wouldn't be any point to grow those two bandit mares they're still going to jail and it's not like we'll see again anytime soon to spend any time flirting with them. I'm stuck between A and B.

A we leave it to Pale and the other knights to catch this mysterious mare, quest finish with only 200 exp instead of 300 leaving us with 495 instead of 595 total exp gain but we still keep the same money from the quest, we'll gain a mana having 2 to use, it will be the afternoon so we can do another quest today needing 105 exp to level up, I noticed Gold's boon didn't unlock yet from growing her due to it was a chase and not a fight hmm wait White Gold is still with us so if we go take on the Festivities for the elder fairy hard quest next she'll get to fighting in a series of competitions and her next boon will activate when we grow her there.

B it would be a waste to not use the blackmail dirt we got after searching for it and I get Pale wants Gold to follow knight's protocol, but following everything by the book doesn't always work sometimes unorthodox methods is absolutely necessary doing a little bad thing with a good thing can compromise the situation into making it fairer like this one the saboteurs are protected their client out of fear, so asking for their help and giving them a deal isn't enough in order to get them to cooperate we'll have to give them something else to fear about that will force them back into a corner with no escape so they can help and by doing so it will give them a chance to reflect on their actions to learn from this experience to change their lives while they're serving their reduced sentences. Plus I am tempted to want to find out who their mare client is and Golden just wants to do everything in her power to protect her dad.

You know what I'm sided with A on this it has a lot more benefits and Pale wanted to teach her a lesson on how knights should behave, so I think we should just leave it at that. If White Gold has a problem with it calmly advise her that she can't fight her way through every problem some of her knight tasks may have her doing things like this, so now she knows how a violent and a peaceful approach operation's each works out with different results, and that she shouldn't have to shoulder everything by herself as a knight she needs to rely and trust in her fellow knights for help sometimes. The Knights represents the King's authority and if she constantly go do things her way then there's going to be fallout for the other knights where words gonna get around that the knights are being brutes instead of being the protectors of the Kingdom because one knight won't stop strong arming ponies whenever she on active duty.

As Pale Gleam predicted, the 3 bandits who agreed to help change their minds as soon as they're told the whole of them isn't ready to do it. Instead, they request some protection measures from a potentially angry employer. They'll serve their sentence at Saint Oakhooves, far enough from the capital they should be able to shake off the heat. The pet bird of the mare will be taken to a refuge, also.

"Your father's shipment is safe tomorrow with what we've accomplished today, and as I've told you, Whirl Gold has the means to protect himself and your whole family. Also, you have to realize there's a limit to how much we can strongarm civilians to help us, even criminals. We did everything we could."
"No we didn't!" White Gold retorts. "These evil ponies were riddled with debt and drug addictions. It would have been easy to use that to make them work for us. We were ready to do that with Hearty, but I… We… chickened out on this somehow… But we should have gone with it!" White Gold turns to you. "Come on! Tell her! We could have got these goons to do what we wanted, and then we would have a much better chance to catch the mysterious mare, if only we went beyond Pale Gleam's methods!"
The Knight mare looks a little confused by what White Gold said. She doesn't reply yet, but now she looks at you expectantly too.

A big if. For now White has the instincts of a mafioso. I don't think knights from her books would approve it, but they're made up. I don't know if chivalry is or can be anything more than a thin noble lie on top of mafia ethics. I suspect there are more real corrupt knights willing to punch people when they're down and do anything to protect their relatives at everybody else's expense out there than Pale is willing to admit. I also think White may as well wait for the results of the tomorrow's trap before she jumps off this cliff. And if she does decide to try to be a knight from a tale rather than a mafioso, she'll have to figure out why on her own because Pale doesn't seem to bother.

I'm gonna going with White Gold perspective, she does have a point. We should tell Pale Gleam that to follow knight's protocol is important, but following it through all the time everything by the book doesn't always work sometimes bending the rules with unorthodox methods that isn't entirely breaking the rules of engagement is absolutely necessary doing a little bad thing with the good thing can help tip the scales balancing the obstacles in the problem out giving us a fair chance to still turn the tide into our favor despite how clever, intimidating, and elusive the pony is trying to evade and carefully avoid punishment from the law on a technicality. Pale Gleam looks appalled by White Gold's words, and by yours too. After her eyes dart between you and her one more time, she recomposes herself, but behind her calm voice you detect a great deal of anger.
"Ah, well, I think I understand now." She nods to herself. "You're both right. It was wrong of me to be so rigid, and to stop you from investigating more thoroughly. The two of you got it all figured out. In fact, right now I just realized I think I have nothing left to teach you, White Gold. I'm going to inform the commander knight that you're ready for your knighting."
"H-huh? Really?" The big White Gold perks up, visibly surprised. "For real?"
"Of course!" Pale Gleam nods. "You made me realize something just now. I was too focused on my vision, even though everything around me kept telling me that I was mistaken, and I finally reflected on myself and realized the way things work is now how I thought they did. It appears I ended up being the one learning something from you, White Gold."
"Woah, uh, thanks… for recognizing it!" White Gold improvises a little bow. "B-but, what about the suspects? Can we…"

"Oh, do whatever you want with them. Again, you got this!" Pale Gleam show you a exaggeratedly sweet grin. ''And if the guards have any question, you can tell them I'm allowing whatever you think up. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got to return to the headquarters and start preparing you knighting. For a fine Knight such as yourself, we must organize it as fast as possible."
Pale Gleam still smiles when she turns around to leave, but at the lest second her look turns into a mean glare as her eyes linger on you. You're about certain she won't listen to you if you tried talking to her at this moment.

Well that was shocking scene to witness one of them was gonna be mad at us and leave the party disappointed no matter who we picked whether it be Pale Gleam or White Gold despising Hearty we all made our tough choices on the matter and just got to live with the results that came out of it.

Before we go talk to the bandits suggest to White Gold that when the day is over, they should go celebrate at the tavern in the evening, just the two of them to toast her success at achieving her role from apprenticeship squire to full fledge Knighthood.

With Pale giving us permission to continue investigating let's go give these saboteurs a taste of their own medicine, get them all in a single room and show them the evidence we've got on them that gives us grounds for placing additional charges on them, threaten them that White Gold is a Knight and the job these bandits were going to do for their client was going to harm her family of nobles, therefore she can make their lives a living hell more than their mysterious mare client ever could that should back them into a corner they can't try to weasel themselves out of. Tell them that this client of theirs doesn't care about them, why else would she say if she doesn't show up at the arranged time location no payment at all whatsoever, she only looks out for herself and is using them as expandable assets to get what she wants there's no honor among thieves who don't try to look after one of their own she not worth protecting over. Mention we're done playing nice with them either they help us stop this mare the pony in charge of this whole shady operation, and get the reduced sentence we offer, or they take the entire rep of this heist and spend the rest of their lives rotting in dungeon cells until the day they die.

"Sure thing." You nod at White Gold. "Let's put what we found to good use. Just don't be so hard on them they'll prefer warning their client out of sheer spite."

You go back inside the guard post, and inform the ponies working here you'll conduct some more interrogations with the criminals.

"Alright, folks, we've got to talk." White Gold announces herself as she enters the cell where the prisoners are gathered. "I guess you’re all ready to get cozy and let the guards take care of your sorry lot, but actually, you're really gonna need to help us catch your client tomorrow before that."
"W-what?" One of the thugs speaks up. "But we refused already. The other Knight said we would be offered protection!"
"There's been a change of plan." White Gold grins menacingly. "We agreed that there are other priorities than your well-being, so if you want us to play nice, you're gonna have to help me with the plan to catch the mare who gave you the orders. Or else… well, I heard somepony here got a little too much into gambling. For example, I could tell the creditors we have the bad payer into good hooves, right here. And for the one among you who's fond of mushroom power, it would be wise of us to destroy that noxious product we found. And I even saw a cute little birdie at one of your places. I'm pretty serious about catching this mare, so it would be easy to forget to take care of it if it's not solved quickly enough. Do I need to go on?"
The mentioned prisoners recoiled visibly under the mention of the relevant topic, and the whole of them seem to have understood the message. They exchange worried glances, as the realization their day could get much worse yet. Still, one of them speaks back to bargain.

"H-hey, if it's so important for you to catch her, would you agree to let us escape if we helped?" One of the criminal mares meekly offers. "I mean, after we pose to bait our client, you're probably gonna be too busy running after her to watch out for us. Nopony is gonna be mad if some little troublemakers like ourselves go missing, right? I think we can promise we won't cause any more trouble around here. After such a mess, it's better for us to go far, far away from here anyway. Away to Port Sunrise at least. How does that sound, miss Knight?"
Looking around to her companions, they seem to settle down and agree with their friend, and now look up expectantly at the huge mare in armour.

White Gold is surprised by the counter-offer, and she looks rather peeved that these ruffians aren't begging for mercy yet. However, the fact she doesn't retort immediately probably means she considers accepting this plan.
