The absolute state of Derpibooru has led to the development of various alternatives. Many altbooru staff members are present ITT, reading comments and answering questions.

https://ponepaste.org/4028 seems to have major rendering issues, see after "Recent/Ongoing Stories".
Not just because the input markdown is malformed, but because the parser seems to fail to properly parse right-flanking delimiter runs. The "/Sun/ Art Archive (sort of)" should render as "***/Sun/ Art Archive (sort of) ***" (because the last non punctuation character is followed by a whitespace.

So, how do I search the ponyarchive?
For example I have a youtube video url: wOL4WogGICE
It was titled "ToastPone - Pony Cat". I did rip the song https://u.pone.rs/pjmknbkm.opus but the cover art is missing. The best I found is https://i1.sndcdn.com/artworks-YUmrGZ7MuS9CQGWc-zEd5IQ-t500x500.jpg
>>
>>43453702
Oh and on soundcloud it was https://soundcloud.com/toastslayer33/pony-cat-2
I did found https://soundcloud.com/gamedestroyer112/a-mlp-song-pony-cat-by but it seems like just a screenshot.
>>
>>43452621
Yes it does archive ponepaste now. I tried my best to recover as much as possible, but still about 2100 pastes are missing. Some of them are private, some got removed by who posted it, some timed out.
Search also got an update today, it shall work better now (it mistreated punctuation marks).
And I fixed a few edge cases in the markdown rendering too.
>>
>>43453158
What next, removing twibooru because boxless is there? Removing rome's archive because he's a furry? Removing ponerpics because the owner is a soijak? Seems kind of pointless to keep stripping away alt sites just because the purity spiral got offended.
>>
>>43454125
None of those things are people blocking access to a purported "archive". What knowledge there is, should be available to all.
>>
>>43454152
So if a library is on an other continent and you have to pay for a flight to get there, does this mean the airline is blocking you from accessing it? Buy a VPN moskal.
>>
>>43454187
False equivalence. If there's normally a teleporter between my house and the library, and the owner of the library blocks people from specifically my house/neighborhood from using the teleporter, then yes they are absolutely blocking me from accessing it.
>>
I think the whole poneb.in debacle isn't relevant anymore when most non-.ru domains require a VPN to access due to RKN's nigger-tier retardation, but it also proves NAFOtrannies and "Puccia" are one and the same.
>>
>>43454216
It's a great analogue on multiple levels. To travel you need a passport and other documents depending on the destination. The destination country can block all travelers from a specific country, eg USA blocking Iran.

how much money would it take to bribe twibooru's admin into deleting every single one of crookedbeetle's stupid fucking videos?
>>
>>43454937
More than you have.
>>
Speaking of bribing, what if we bribe the guy to unblock vodkaland? If he posts a list of paste IDs that are missing from the archive, then we can give him 2 pastes per week (one per blocked country) in exchange for removing the block. Win-win: we get more pastes recovered, and vatniks can access the site. In another thread, he said he is missing 3,200 pastes. I’m sure quite a few of them can be easily recovered from the archives. With 2 pastes a week we are good for 30 years. Assuming someone takes the trouble to recover two per week.

You do censorship => You're removed. It's THAT simple. If owner ever get her heads out of her ass and removes it, then it will be added back to the OP.
>>
>>43455766
Anon do you understand the meaning of censorship? Clearly you don't.
Let me google it for you:
>Censorship is the suppression or removal of writing, artistic work, etc. that are considered obscene, politically unacceptable, or a threat to security.
I don't about anything being removed or suppressed from there, do you?
>>
>>43455831
>I don't about

bump
>>
>>43455766
Censorship is but one reason for the development of alternative fan sites, oft entwined with petty tyranny which yet remains a sin against Pony. The futile efforts of those who have crossed the Rubicon to minimize, mitigate, and relitigate their own actions only serve to strengthen the case against them.
>>
>>43455831
I'm going to ban the Marshall Islands from reading my fanfics because I think SpongeBob is a fag who should stop pestering Squidward and find a better job. And FUCK everybody else, they should eat shit and burn in hell because they all live in the same country as SpongeBob.

k cool then when are we removing twibooru? Boxless censors tons of pony related media every day. Or is it only censorship when an invading country isn't allowed to view a site? Or would that not count if ponebin blocked israel?
Maybe some sites still on the list should start blocking israel, see if you stick to your principles of that being censorship or if suddenly it's ok, proving that you're only kicking off ponebin on behalf of russian feelings.

I'm willing to bet all of the site removals have been hypocritical bullshit pushed by a cabal of assmad retards. You've got endless examples of boxless wiping pony content off twibooru every day, but it's only a problem when zizzy deletes pony stuff off ponybooru. If a site blocked india and israel, it would be met with cheers, but blocking russia and belarus is the most offensive thing ever.

Moreover, I do not recall (You) ever being voted in or appointed as the glorious leader whose opinion exclusively shapes what alt sites are and are not allowed to be in the OP. How does one even develop that kind of ego?

Anon, I get why you're pissed. But we also need to keep in mind that species swaps should be ok so long as it had an actual link to MLP from the start. Boxless removed a ton of loli images of fandom OCs at one point, it was a huge dramafest at the time. They were reinstated and he said he wouldn't do it again, but that's why people are still wary of him, basically. I haven't seen him remove anything objectionable (to me) since that time though. Though what do you mean by them looking weird in dark mode?
also, everyone always checks if BFED is there, lol

It's extremely difficult to tell if the toggle switches are enabled or disabled because they have no background. Not only does this mean there's no color/lightness coding, it goes as far as robbing the user of being able to tell what position the switch is actually in, relative to its range of motion. The switches' label text turning red when enabled doesn't help, since red can either mean "disabled" or "unsafe" depending on context, and shouldn't be relied on as your primary indicator.

No idea why. It's one of the most well known ones out there. That's one that shouldn't need checking. Unless they're looking to play it.

>Do you want to just run it locally for yourself or do you want it to be available to the public?

I was thinking about make it available to the public but idk if I had enough money to do this. But if I run it locally for myself, it would help me with archives, so I could find arts easier.

I used to think that AI scrapers raping websites would settle down once AI became more commonplace. After all, once the models are trained on the data, there's no need to continuously grab more and more, is there? Not so. After all, AI (((needs))) to give us answers on everyday topics such as news and poolitics as well (along with their very special woke flair, of course) and to do so it needs the newest and most fresh up to date data at all times.

This isn't a temporary hiccup. Things are not going to "stabilize" to let small independent websites thrive again. This is just the new normal. Welcome to the future, it is gay and made of AIDS.
>>
>>43464237
Another thing that I've considered is that forcing sites to put up anti-bot measures may actually benefit the AI companies as well. Assuming they've already scraped the site, forcing the sites to do so will prevent competing AI companies from scraping the same data they did.

Is Gold Meddle still the only active staff at PonerPics?
>>
>>43464281
Yeah but most sites aren't static, that's why they keep scraping them over and over again. So in the end they'd still be shooting themselves in the foot if that was their goal, but I don't think it is, it's just a side effect. What's more worrisome that in their ongoing effort to circumvent bot detection they're starting to develop scrapers that act more or less like an entire full-featured web browser, making them nearly impossible to block.

To ponepaste admin: I've noticed that tags containing forward slashes (/) generate incorrect links. For example. [1] is a valid query, but the /shy/ tag bubbles link to [2] (bad request). Is this expected?

>>

I don't get what "vibe coded" is supposed to mean. If you mean that AI wrote part of the code, I'd like to know how you could tell that it was AI and not just someone who's not good at coding.
>>
>>43469644
I mean that an LLM wrote most if not all of the code.
>how you could tell
https://github.com/Poniverse/Pony.fm/commits/master/
The excessively long commit messages here (hover over them) - no human writes that shit, and no human uses phrasing like "Remove everything the audit confirmed dead" as a random example.
>>
>>43469714
Strange. I don't understand why someone would let an AI write the commit message.
>>
>>43469748
Because fully autonomous agents do everything like a human would. If you prompt it correctly it will write its own tests, use browser automations to look at the rendered pages, press buttons, etc.
Claude code for example really likes to use git. When I told it to find a specific bug, not only it did find it but pinpointed the exact time when someone made the mistake and started blaming the guy for fucking it up.
>>
>>43469801
Oh I didn't know the systems were already automated in such a way they can commit changes for you.

>pinpointed the exact time when someone made the mistake and started blaming the guy for fucking it up.
That's actually hilarious though.
>>
>>43469868
On github (if you have copilot subscription) you can literarily spawn an agent to implement something. You don't even need to do it locally on your machine, it will spawn its own VM, set up the env, etc. Completely automated.
>>
>>43469906
You mean there are accounts making changes that are entirely run by bots? That can't be good for open source projects. I've already read some of them decided to stop accepting AI-generated bug reports because oftentimes the "bug" was completely hallucinated and it wasted hours of the developer's time to look for something that wasn't even there.
