What does a typical pony home look like on the inside? Is there even such a thing as a typical home in Equestria?

Never made sense to me that most Ponyville homes are built so high but narrow. Ponies would build wide because they have a much bigger turn radius than we do.

Earth pony town though.

Ponies build their first floor and then just stack on top of it as they need more room.

Well the front door usually has one of those boot scraper things, so the ponies can scape off the mud between their hooves.

That would chew up their frogs

There includes a:

>toilet (pile of hay)
>tv (pile of hay)

Average Ponyville home is just cottagecore.

They can't pivot?

I noticed that we don’t see many “average interiors” in the show. I guess Scootaloo’s house will be the closest we get to an “average” home.
I do think that it across all of equestria, it likely varies on where you are. Cloudsdale for example, probably consists of very light material and items to properly stay on the clouds, and the Crystal Empire is more luxurious and has less rugs and carpets because of how abundant hard and cold surfaces are.

We also saw one of the living rooms at Hondo & Cookie's house. That looked fairly "normal" too.

One weird thing though, is you'd expect the front door to be on the wall behind the camera, being across from the stairs and all.
But no, it's just a *completely blank wall* without even a WINDOW.

Partly because I'd already built it before finding that camera angle, I just said "screw it, this is where the door SHOULD be (along with a window)" for my possible layout mock-up.

And of course, my Minecraft-limited mock-up of Scootaloo's room, now featuring the wall we never see.

That weird inset of wall by the bed is so weird, by the way. There's nothing in an adjacent room that could jut into this one like that, other than maybe a closet, but Scootaloo's closet would be on the opposite wall, so you'd think THAT wall (the one we don't see) would be the one adjacent to another bedroom, not the one with the pennants.
My semi-schizo explanation of that, is that the house has no basement, and so that inset wall is housing an HVAC return vent to the furnace in the attic.

And before anyone asks "what house has an A/C or Furnace in the ATTIC? I have personally SEEN an A/C & Electric Blower-Furnace combo unit hanging from chains in an attic. This is a real thing in some homes.
