The AU stuff that just gives more time with characters who never got a fair shot in the main series can also be interesting if you still don't consider it canon, the changeling/ other villain stuff for example.

>>43464932Almost none of the writing was, but some of them had good art. The one-off stories were typically better than when they tried doing a big story arc (which was most of the time). I recommend issue #42 if you want a really entertaining one that’s also really funny.

the comics were amazing, the first volume with Chrysalis is such a good little story, and the illustration is really great. Nightmare Rarity was good too, and the one where Big Mac is at the festival, which is hilarious. Basically all the ones I've read have been great.

If the M6 have been mind-controlled so many times by external forces in the comics, how come our little ponies never feel as though they are threatened by ponies of such power merely existing? If this were in real life, wouldn’t Equestria be a communist country by now?
