Might not be as comfy as being in the true S1 Equestria but I think it isn't too far gone to salvage and I'd love to have some concrete things to solve. After that it's a decently long walk towards the peaks of peril followed by a hike to the top where the village is. Now, the hike isn't as bad as it sounds if you factor in Fluttershy's shortcut but you may not find it since it's hidden. Even then I don't think it's far fetched to assume there are safer/easier routes than the one AJ took. All in all if you take the earliest train possible I think you could reasonably reach the Kirin in a day's work provided you are decently athletic, though you're kinda fucked if you're a lardass.
