desu, seasons 3-9 all could have been just as good as 1-2 if the directing and characterisation was differenttanks for the memories shows this off very well. it literally just repeats the same scene of rainbow dash being in denial over tank going into hibernation again and again. its not especially fun or interesting. its just like any other children's media. imagine if that same episode happened in season 2 and one of the cmc replaced rainbow dash's role. it would have been so kino.meanwhile back in season 2, she scared children with thunder during luna eclipsed just cause she thought it was funny, and in read it and weep she tries to do like a robbery complete with goofy clothes just to get back the daring do book.season 8 literally introduces a new secondary main cast and tries to emulate season 1 a bit, but fails horribly despite the freedom they had to do whatever they wanted to essentially. the characterisations just sucked.all of the fingerpointing at twilicorn or glimmer feels kinda dumb desu. all of those episodes and seasons could have had basically the same plot but be much better.
