GGG probably has between 20 and 40 employees and they spent 18 months between buying the IP and release, so depending on their salaries and expenses and shit that's probably like ~5M$ invested?Gamalytic estimates their sales at ~150k, which is ~4M$, but I think they tend to underestimate fighting games and that's only Steam not including consoles, so I'd guess it's a moderate success but so far nothing to write home aboutpretty fun game though

She's so unfinished and with so much unintended but powerful jank that she's like a blank canvas. Lorewise she not only has a relationship with Tianhuo (that could be portrayed as platonic or romantic if you're a yurifag) and Huoshan as a while, which has a well-defined culture but also mysteries that the fandom can fill in the blanks and get creative. She's also, like, the Shadow to Tianhuo's Sonic, and people like edge.Nidra doesn't come from anywhere. She's the only character in the roster to not have a lore drop about her society. We don't know how she fits into wherever she's from, her stage is a pretty-looking void with no NPCs, the only thing vaguely resembling a relationship with any other character is a mention in her win quote that she has a missing sister (which with no appearance or name makes her less of a character than Pom's brother Woogums). There is no canon to build fanon around with her and the only thing I've seen is, as >>43528886 mentioned, people trying to make her trans. Gameplay-wise she's got the least intuitive gameplay in the cast because of her stances, which makes her difficult to play, and she has some very skewed losing matchups. She also has the highest cashout damage in the game, with the potential to ToD medium health characters or even ToD low health characters from a jab starter, which makes the very few people who did lab her unappealing to play against. None of those who've labbed her participate in the few tournaments this game still has, so she somehow has less competitive presence than the banned character.Just... what do you even do with her? Nobody plays her, nobody draws or write about her, and the game died with her release.
