I think Opaline did nothing wrong, personally. The baby dragon shit deserved to die and Misty deserved far more abuse than she was given for her endless failures. I honestly see her as merciful and heroic, much similar to Cozy Glow.

I hope Cozy Glow is okay. I need to reserve my love for her just in case them joining together is canon.(The comics are likely to want to tie some of these loose ends up if Hasbro lets them, so we might find out someday. Regardless, it’s an unavoidable headcanon for me. I haven’t settled on how I think it would’ve played out. But the point is, a friend of Cozy Glow’s is a friend of mine. I’ve always felt this way.)

I am rather fond of the idea of Opaline working with Cozy, resulting in a sort of parental guardianship relationship going much better than when Opaline raised the blue thing. It'd be a nice sort of irony. The filly that people brand as a backstabber actually ends up becoming attached to her new mom instead and doesn't betray her.
