/YPGR/ Yandere Pony General Revival #5
Animated Edition

said the last guy who made the thread.
>now look at me! now I have to make the thread because that retard was a one bump chump, could only bake a single thread and now I gotta deal with the mess he left behind.

said the last guy who made the thread.
Now it is me who is the OP again. This thread is for spooky, scary, skellymares, psychotic gals, and all around mentally unwell mares that somehow seem attracted to an anon. Why? Who knows... but there is no escape. And yes, the (Dead) will continue to rise until She is satisfied with (You).

You're Celestia damned right it's a sign. This thread is the starting renaissance of nutjobs and adorable headcases. Very few threads have so much fire rising at once in terms of stories. Let that flame temper your soul and allow you to melt through that flimsy shell. Show us her story.

>”So anon, what’s your family like? Did things get patched up?”
“No.”
>”Oh.”
>...
“Not quite, I mean. As I said, it's complicated.”
>You are anon
>And you are quickly finding out that your equine coworker is more talkative than you’d like
>She has left her desk for a while and is now hovering next to your cubicle
>You can hear the fluttering of her wings
>”So, may I ask what those “family problems” are?”
“They are none of your business, that’s for sure.”
>You don’t need to take your eyes off the screen to know that your response hurt her
>”F-Fair. I’m not annoying you too much, am I?”
>Yes
“No.”
>”Alright! Just wanted to make sure, haha. It just feels nice to have a coworker I can talk to without-”
“Don’t you have work to do yourself?”
>”Oh, I actually decided to call it quits for the day a while ago. I just felt like keeping you company before you left.”
>Oh how kind of her
“Very nice of you, but don’t you have a home to go to?”
>...
”Lucy?”
>”I´m… kinda *mumble* *mumble*”
>You raise your eyebrow
“I didn’t hear that last part.”
>”I said that I’m still living at my assigned complex…”
>She sounds very embarrassed
>Oh. Right.
>Of course she’d be living in one of those
“So, living in one of those pony shelters?”
>”Pony Social Integration Complexes or PSICs for short! NOT “Pony shelters”! Get it right!”
>You flinch a little at her sudden yell
>THAT gets on her nerves of all things?
“Right, PSICs. My bad. I take it that it’s not a pleasant place to live in?”
>”Oh, you have no idea. I prefer not to talk about it but it’s so cramped and filthy and HOT! I just can’t wait to rent an apartment with some pony roomies and finally leave!”
>As if to emphasize her point “Lucy” blows a raspberry
>You went to one of those complexes when you were looking for a nanny
>You only saw the lobby and some offices there but never got to see their actual living conditions
>But you do have an idea
>After all, those complexes are just a bandaid solution to deal with the sudden influx of “free citizens”
>They were all buildings decades older than you that were hastily remodeled and repurposed into living quarters
>You're pretty sure that the complex Sugarcube lived in used to be an abandoned hotel
>Thinking about it some more there is a good chance that “Lucy” and Sugarcube used to live in the same place
>You’re not sure how to feel about that
>”Lucy”’s voice snaps you back to reality
>”Say anon, you wouldn’t happen to know any ponies that are looking for a place to stay?”
“Not really, no.”
>”What a shame. Oh well, I guess I’ll be on the lookout for roommates then.”
>You look at the hour
>It is getting pretty late
“I think I’ll be clocking out for the night. See you tomorrow.”

>”Guess I’ll get going too. Lead the way anon!”
>You sigh
>There really is no getting rid of her
>You quickly turn off the PC and begin to head out
>”Lucy” follows closely behind you, making a small stop at her desk to put on a pair of rather sizable saddlebags that still allow her to use her wings
“What are you carrying in those things?”
>”My personal belongings. Feels icky to leave them alone at the complex so I bring them with me.”
>You raise an eyebrow
“All of your–”
>”All of my personal belongings, yes. It’s not THAT heavy. Plus it’s not like I am carrying them constantly in the office.”
>That’s just plain sad
>You're reminded that Sugarcube’s salary is below minimum wage
>And you’re reminded of how your wife would have chewed you out from the get go had she been alive to see the terms of her contract
>She really cared too much about the well-being of ponies
>The well-being of everyone in general
>She was too kind for this world
>And you?
>You aren’t
>A feeling of guilt begins to overwhelm you
>You want it to stop
>”Anon? You alright?
>”Lucy” looks at you concerned
“Lucy?”
>”Yes?”
“I was wondering if…”
>Does she even like being called Lucy?
“I was wondering if you’d want me to call you by your real name?”
>She looks at you a bit dumbfounded
>Then really happy
>”I-I would like that, yes!”
“Alright…”
>You squint your eyes at her employee ID, trying to read her real name in it
>”Light River.”
“Light River. Yeah.”
>The guilt hasn’t gone yet
>You look at your watch and realize there’s no way you’re getting home before before Annie goes to sleep
“So, Light. Wanna go somewhere to eat? My treat.”
>”R-Really!?”
>You hesitantly nod
>The guilt is starting to disappear for now
>”YES! I-I mean, sure!”
>You two exit the building and you can see your car in the distance
“Alright, let’s go for a drive then.”
>She nods and canters over to your car once you unlock it
>As you get it started she takes off her saddlebags and places them on the backseat before sitting next to you
>She looked a bit a cute with her seatbelt on, though you’re not sure how effective it would be at protecting her if you were to crash
>You are also reminded at the fact that she’s naked and her crotch is likely rubbing against the seat
>Goddammit. That’s another seat you need to clean one of these days
>>

>After driving around for a while you wind up in a small restaurant specialized in salads
>Light River seems more enthusiastic about her meal than you, for obvious reasons
>Even if it’s not the fanciest place in the world it’s somewhat cozy
“Hey, Light.”
>She pulls her muzzle out of the bowl for a second
>Small chunks of vegetables are still stuck to it and a couple have somehow landed on her short, black mane
>”Yeah?”
“I was wondering something about pony biology.”
>”Ask away.”
“First off, how do you type on a keyboard with your wings?”
>”Because my wings are magical, of course! That’s what allows me to use my feathers like fingers.”
>...
>”You look really disappointed."
“Honestly I don’t know what I expected, that’s on me. Anyways, second question.”
>”Uh-huh?”
“So, I… met a pony that has one of those uh… “Cutie-marks”? and I was wondering why you don’t have one.”
>”You know a pony with a cutie-mark!?”
“Is that a big deal or something?”
>”Well yeah. I mean, technically not, or rather it shouldn’t be.”
“Explain.”
>”Well cutie-marks pretty much appear when you’re really, REALLY sure about your calling in life or what you’re passionate about. It is said that back in Equestria my ancestors used to get theirs when they were foals”
“So why don’t you have one?”
>”Hmph, I’ll let you know that most ponies nowadays haven’t earned theirs.”
“And that’s because?”
>She begins to take a deep breath
>For the second time today she looks genuinely annoyed at you
>”Anon, you’re smarter than this. Take a guess as to why most ponies haven’t had their chance to find their calling in life.”
>...
>Oh
“Sorry for bringing that up. Hopefully you find it soon enough.”
>”Thanks. Any more questions?”
“Hm… Some time ago I used to frequent flower shops and several had these signs saying that they were safe for ponies. What’s the deal with that?”
>”Flowers are edible to us. It’s just that you humans tend to use pesticides when growing them and since flowers absorb those… Well, you get the idea. The “safe for ponies” signs just mean they are pesticide free.”
“I see.”
>That gives you an idea, actually
“I think that’s all I wanted to ask. Thanks.”
>”No problem! Also, I really like dandelions if you are curious.”
>She winks at you
>You sigh
“I’ll… keep that in mind.”

>You are finally heading home at last
>Light River took her saddlebags from your car once you two were done eating and she flew away into the night sky
>You felt a little jealous. Flying does seem really fun
>Way more fuel efficient than driving around
>In your left hand you are holding a cardboard box containing twelve roses
>Edible roses that is. For ponies at least
>They are neatly packed packed together and most of the stem has been trimmed off so little more than the rosebuds remain
>It wasn’t particularly cheap so this better be worth it
>You unlock the door and enter your house
>Most of the lights were turned off
>But there was sound inside, coming from the living room
>The sound of someone talking on the tv with music in the background
>And there, illuminated only by the glow of the tv you could see Sugarcube sitting on the couch
>”Most people have given up on finding the reason behind the blinding lights that arrived that day or why they decided to take away–”
>The sound from the tv suddenly stops as she turns to look towards you
>”H-Hi sir! I hope you don’t mind me watching tv. The dinner is already in the fridge.”
“It’s alright. I had dinner with a coworker.”
>”Is that so?”
>You get closer to the couch and you can see her tensing up
“Hey, I… I wanted to give you something.”
>You show her the box of roses
“Don’t take it the wrong way. They’re the edible kind.”
>You can’t bear to look at her right now
>So you don’t
>For what feels like an eternity you hold the box in front of her, until you see a faint light in your peripheral vision
>You let go off the box, but you never hear it hitting the ground
>”... Why?”
>You have never heard someone so confused in your life
“I still feel guilty for… you know… I know it doesn’t fix things, but I hope this helps in showing I regret it.”
>”T-Thank you.”
>You fully direct your gaze to the tv
>It’s showing recorded footage from what must be centuries ago
“What are you watching?”
>”It’s a documentary about pony history in the human world.”
“M-May I?”
>You still can’t bear to look at her
>”S-Sure.”
>You take a seat on the couch and scoot over to the opposite side
>Sugarcube grabs the remote with her magic and the documentary continues playing
>”-A fraction of the world population at the time and give in return what we would end up referring to as Equestrian ponies. All we know is that this exchange was inequitable when it came to raw numbers. Societies across the world, who were just beginning to rebuild themselves soon found themselves on the brink of collapse once again…
“Say, you do like roses, right?”
>”I’ve never been able to try them to be honest.”
>You can hear the sound of Sugarcube opening the box
>You muster up the courage to briefly glance as she takes a bite out of the first rosebud the same way one would bite a bonbon
“So?”
>”It tastes really good.”

>The eclair is gone halfway to the hospital and the coffee is as good as when you clock in
>Early
>Again
>"Up and at 'em as always!" Nurse Sweetheart praises as always

He was able to play off his worry of being a horse fucker by saying it would be seen of him taking advantage of her.
>>
>>43518868
That is a good point, isn't it? Always worth remembering that not everyone is used to seeing an Equestrian. Much less being around one. Much less having made out and had sex with one. But that also makes it far much more worse to imagine that he took advantage of her. It's the combo that makes it seem doubly disgusting. Like bringing some tribal to the first world and wowing her with a half-functioning car and cheap flip phone. Whether or not your intent is to be predatory or taking advantage of a presumed situation, lot of people will sure take it that way. Not good.
Ever since I started Jacky I've thought of how Equestrians would really fit in with humans. Angel Cake's Quest and Twilit Starsky have done a lot to make me think of things. Plus a few more story ideas that I've been sitting on for a while that deals with certain characters and situations and how that goes up against the reality of having to deal with a human society and humans without giving them any charitable benefit of the doubt. You can say there's something resembling a vague timeline but there's a whole lot of information that is just unsettled.

"You really view your parents positively."
>"Of course."
"Is it rude if I ask why?"
>"It isn't."
>Despite saying that she isn't quick to continue
>"I know their relationship wasn't perfect... but I know it was as close to perfect as it could get. The only issue is..."
>That she was born
>You remember that
>You remember her telling her about how violent her parents were with each other while you were stuck there tasting blood
>Tasting a lot of your own blood
>"...Well you know."
"...Yeah."
>You could tell her something vacant and shallow like "that isn't true"
>Like you said before
>But you shouldn't say something so lame so freely
"...You don't like conflict. Do you?"
>Her head moves just enough that she looks up at you instead of Shaggy talking about his leaning tower of heart burn
"I mean. Of course you'd prefer to relax than to get whipped up into a frenzy and all that. But. I should say. You don't want to fight or argue, right?"
>Sally watches your face for an uncomfortable amount of time
>"No."
>Her gaze returns to one of the two monitors
>"I know my parents fought a lot. I know they hated me if they stopped hating each other. But I don't want that. I don't want the screaming. I don't like it. If I could listen to nothing but this until the end of time, I would be happy."
>She says it so casually
>So openly
>In your own relationship history, things are usually never so
>Easy
>Especially not communication
>She really has listened to some of your things
>"Just promise that when we have foals. Never hate them, Anon. If you ever come to hate me..."
>Oh no
>She's going somewhere
>Your fingers firmly grasp her
>Root her to reality, Anon
>Don't you dare follow her down that path no matter which way
"I don't hate kids, Sally. I'd never hate my own. I'd certainly never hate their mother. If I were capable of doing that, I'd never have allowed myself to get that close to her to begin with."
>Good answer
>Sally seems to think so
>She repeatedly flops and shifts until she's laying on her back
>Hind legs splayed out as far and as hard as they can be
>Front legs folded at her chest
>A keen reminder that this is not a human
>"Does this mean that you don't hate me?"
"I don't hate you, Sally."
>Her vibrant yellow eyes show that her relaxed state is a shallow facade
>"Does this mean that you love me?"
>Rather than answer seriously, your hands go to her chest, between her legs
"I'm not going to say that L word just because you mention it."
>She pouts
>"Mr. Boyfriend!"
"Ms. Girlfriend."
>"Say you love me."
"No."
>"Say it."
>"Not happening."
>Her somewhat playful tone drops
>"Say it. Anon. Say you love me."
>You frown at her
"No. I'm not going to say something before I know for sure. You pressuring me means that if I say it, I'll have said it dishonestly. Do you want me to stay honest and true to you?"

"No."
>She's trying to squirm
"Answer me. Do you want me to stay true to you, Sally?"
>Something about that is doing something to her
>She tries again to escape
>Even her hind legs retreat from so openly advertising the fact that Equestrians are mammals but their anatomical locations differ
>"Stop saying that."
>Uh oh
>You may have stumbled across something
>Your hands spread out, ensuring that she can't move up
>You aren't in the position to but if only you could move your legs to help her sink into a spot that wouldn't give her room to wiggle
>You lean down
>Closer to her face
"I'm going to remain true to you, Ms. Girlfriend. I'm not going to lie. Or hate you. I'm going to let you know every honest thought I have."
>Is this the right direction?
>It might be
>It could be
"Every word I have is going to sink into you. You won't be able to do anything without remembering what I say. Like an arrow in this chest. Every time you breathe just a little too hard, you'll feel it poke you and you'll remember that you never had a chance to remove it."
>Sally writhes in place
>Her breathing has gotten heavier
>"...This isn't fair. Don't look at me like that."
"Like what?"
>You would be lying if you said you weren't having fun
>You're just saying things but you're giving her a bit of a dose of her own medicine
>"Like you're going to do dangerous things to me."
"And with everything you've done to me, I don't get at least two instances of going as dangerous as I please? What are you gonna do to stop it?"
>Going a little too far, Anon
>Reign it back
>Something nudges the back of her head
>It nudges hard enough that you can see a lot of the white of her eyes
>You can see that her mouth is stuck open
>Her canines bared
>Her mane messy
>It's you
>Part of you
>Pushing against the back of her head
>Dear God you might start to see why the horsefuckers are the way they are
>"I. I won't do anything. I won't stop it."
>You can't stop yourself
>You give your most evil grin imaginable
"You pushed my face in. I'm going to push in something of yours too."
>That statement stuns her
"Fear won't stop me. It never stopped you."
>You have officially gotten a little too giddy with this
>What was your point again?
>Telling her you wouldn't say the L word?
>The fully grown filly has no earthly idea of what to expect next
>Having the reigns taken from her so aggressively has left her meek
>Demure
>Somewhere between shaking from excitement and shaking from anxiety
"Hey."
>"Y-ye--"
"You're gonna know when I say it. Before that, you're sure gonna feel it."
>"Where?"
>You can't stop from grinning
"Wherever I choose."
>With that, you release her
>Instead of escaping, she remains
>You think you may have overdone it
>Her face says it all
>"You're scary."
"Guess we're a match."

I don't remember the last time I woke up well before my alarm just to immediately sit down and go back to writing. Well, there you go. Sally is all done. Green's done. Everyone go home.
Or that's what I would say but this is I think a solid end to the first part of Sally. Why are we getting a second part? Why is this well over... what, 53k words at this point? I don't fucking know man. I'm just doing it. We haven't seen the last of her. We haven't even seen all of her yet. But Anon has sure tasted at least part of her. Apparently he wants more. Only issue is that this has directly impacted what Fringe wants; to not be alone.

First time I’ve seen a Yandere story end without the need for violence. Anon is still his own man without fear. He controls the relationship, cut through the bullshit.
I wonder if Fringe was listening in.
>>
>>43519980
He is still his own man but he didn't get to that point clean. He got physically and emotionally battered to an extreme degree. She mentally wore him down. She doesn't know what her overall plan is but it worked on him. He began to care about her. Enough that he let himself just roll with it.
I think I'm happy with how this turned out. There will be more to it but this also kinda fits as it's own actual story. I suppose rather than a second part it's more a sequel. Structured just a little differently.
It's a shame you found a mold breaker here but it goes to show that relationship dynamics aren't set in stone. They are made based off of the ones creating it. Sally is abusive and can even be violent but she's shown that she's immature. She has a very... unique understanding of how relationships work. She only has a broken home to go off of. Anon has his own options but he's not going to fear her to the point of mindless submission. He's not going to let her overrun him and his life. But rather than stop it, he let her drag him down. He can make excuses but remember that at the end of the day, he wanted this.
Then we have Fringe. We know what she's about. Both of them have gone out of their way to talk about themselves so they'll have someone who isn't a stranger. She just wants to be around him. Nothing else matters. What happens if Sally doesn't want her around anymore?
Then we also have Mettle. A looming ghost that is possibly able to see everything. Or at least see Anon's thoughts. And his concerns. And then the other two too.

I'm really not one to ask for attention outright but if anyone stuck around for all of this and want to express their thoughts, let me know. First big story started, and finished, since everything went down. Panels and oral story time moments don't count.

>>

Just a hair short of 54k words. No clue how it works as it's own story since I do plan on a sequel but I think it gives the genre something new.
I'm proud of it. I like Sally. I want to see things continue to grow for her. I like Fringe too. I admire both of their cunning but Fringe takes it to another level. We've barely seen anything of Mettle but I want the best for her too. Thinking of them has been reinvigorating.
>>
>>43520113
Well I appreciated having new characters that get more and more fleshed out as we spend more time with them. The conflict works because Anon is in a depressed state. We don't know why, but as we learn about him we see how he got into this situation. How Sally was able to take advantage of him, which was due to circumstances she wasn't even part of.
Anon was in a low point in his career, he saw that the people he was helping were not changing at all. He felt like a fraud. Sure this random pony showing up fan-girling is cute, but it didn't help his situation. Then things escalated as she forced herself on him. Things spiraled out of control so quickly he almost died, but he got back up. Forced her to stay away for a few days to re-evaluate his situation. Then we get Fringe.
Fringe is the spicey character in the story, but she is in the same boat as Sally. Outsiders with a lot of baggage. Anon feels compelled to peel back the layers of this story. Now in a better position of control. The story ends with him holding all the levers of power now. He dictates the relationship, which is something a man should be doing. The three ponies push the envelop, but only because he allows it. Anon will push back when they overstep (except with Mettle, she kind of just shows up to screw)
Sally is a developmentally challenged. Smart enough to pretend she's a functioning adult. Damaged enough to make Anon want to help her.
Fringe is a troll. Always trying to get a rise out of everyone around her. I can see why it doesn't get her what she actually wants. Who would want to deal with that all the time?
Mettle is a ghost. Not much to say about her. She showed up to bewilder Anon, but hasn't done much yet. At least, compared to the other two.
All three of them show us a glimpse into human pony relationship in this world. It's weird situation. They seem to happen a lot, but is still looked down on. Maybe women don't like the competition.
Mules are sterile. Probably the same for Sally.
>>
>>43520985
>spoiler
That is harsh. What makes you think that?
>>
>>43521301
It's pretty common for half-breeds. Not being mean, just a factor. Author hasn't mentioned if they can have foals/children. Man, it would be wild if Sally gave birth to a human baby.
>>
>>43521376
I wonder how that would legally work. Poni is still poni... but human?
>>
>>43521376
>>43521406
As long as the end result looks like a human at first glance I think that it should be relatively fine with at most having lots of problems on what constitutes as a last name. The more troublesome outcome would be if the offspring between a mule(?) and a human would wind up with a freak of nature that has a more 50/50 split between human and pony traits. How that looks like I'll leave it to your imagination but chances are it will be a social outcast.
>>
>>43521428
I think the last name would be whatever the paternal/human side is. "Sally" is already the equivalent of someone from Asia moving to the US and taking up a western sounding name like Wendy or Charlotte. I imagine it would be pretty easy to have a family name for legal reasons but culturally it may be something else. May depend on which culture prevails.
The really scary part isn't 50/50 but whatever Fringe is. You'll never mistake her for a human but with human eyes and the bone wings? She's weird enough to be an outcast on both sides.
>>
>>43521481
Based on what she's said, she still seems to have some kind of allure for sexual encounters. Nothing more beyond that though.
>>
>>43521487
If she's honest about it. It is a foil to Sally being so direct and "pure". At least before she got mistaken for the Moscow Mule. In a few ways she made herself to be the opposite of Sally. I don't think it worked because at the of the day Ms. Girlfriend won.

>”What? Why?”
>”My life you see… it’s… it’s…”

>”It’s not that interesting. I’m sure you could write about your dad or maybe someone else! Like an aunt or an uncle.”
“I’m an only child, actually.”
>”Oh. Well you can still write about your dad, Annie! I’m sure he’s a good option.”

i´ve been reading it as it was being written since the first bit of green, i really like the pacing, there´s slow character development, little bits here and there get revealed, nothing happens all at once. i really enjoyed that aspect of the story, it´s not hurried along in any way, just anon and his own slice of life that´s getting just a little bit more horse pussy flavored with each day.

i really like the characters too, i´d probably bolt at the first sign of Sally´s bullshit when she tracked down anon after he bought her lunch... but i can see myself losing to Fringe and her slyness, i´d probably fold after the pillowhumping... though as characters in a story i like them both, it´s very grounded in the fact that they´re not cartoonishly deranged or anything, just plain old childhood trauma and attachment issues, nice contrast to the usual neighponese animare eque bullshit one might expect when they hear the word "yandere"
i really enjoyed reading this, thanks for writing it, Blondi :)

“I don’t understand you. How can you say that when you have only been with her for less than a week?”

>Resignation
>That’s all you can see on her face now
>She decides to stare at the floor once she’s done talking
>Shortly after she begins to tremble on the spot
>You really want to walk away
>Go to your job and ignore her for a couple hours
>Part of you wants to defend yourself
>But can your way of living be justified?
>Would it even be worth justifying?
>You don’t think so, deep down at least

“Honestly, I have no idea.”

>”You’re a mess.”

It should be clear by now that this anon is an emotionally unstable wreck that never learned how to properly process grief. He has a (relatively) newfound hatred towards the world; yet that "nagging voice", what remains of his former, more well adjusted self prevents him from fully detaching himself from it. Deep down all he really wants is to regain a sense of normalcy and go back to a happier point in his life. The latter will never happen, of course, and he will quickly turn bitter at anything that reminds him of that fact (unfortunately including Sugarcube herself).
>>
>>43524142

I don't really know if there's anything particularly new or insightful that I might be able to say that hasn't already been said, so I'll try to keep this concise. It took me a little bit, but I grew attached to these characters as the story progressed, and even came to be endeared to their plentiful flaws and failings. Most notably my beloved Fringe, but in time even Obscure and Anon intrigued me the more we learned about them and how they perceive things. They're all such miserable misfits in need of someone, anyone, to just show them an inkling of genuine affection and attention. It's uncomfortably sad for me as I find it relatable, but also hopeful in a way. That in spite of all their traumas and what they've done and are willing to do, that they still aren't beyond being "saved". I suppose that's my biggest take away from this story, that there's always a chance things can get better, and that despite everything, redemption is always possible.
>>
>>43527781
This is rather interesting. A couple of mess ups thrust into an uncomfortable situationship due to a familiar longing for companionship, it's sad but compelling. I'm really liking this green, and I'm enjoying Sugarcube as well. Splendid work thus far, fren.

You have no idea how much I appreciate the doodle. From the bottom of my heart: Thank you!
>>
>>43527935
I appreciate you, Anon. It is worth a priceless amount to see someone really go into how a story hits them and why. Especially to see them be compelled to make something from just words.
I like that you understand it the way it was put down. All of them are abject... failures? Loners? None of them are "good" or "bad". Sally and Fringe won in wearing down Anon. Abusing him physically and emotionally to the point he's brought down even further.
I want to wait a few weeks before I start the next part. That gives us time to sit and digest what all happened over the last few months of the story having started. Gives us time to think of what has changed since Sally and Anon are now a couple. Gives us time to consider whether or not Sally will let Fringe continue to tag along or if she's on her way out.
>uncomfortably sad, but also hopeful
That sounds very familiar to me. I remember one anon telling me that about Angel Cake's Quest. That and Sally were very difficult for me to stick with at times due to how raw some situations get. They hit close. No one is pulling any punches or taking the easy way out. There's only one way for them: forward. It can really suck to have to keep moving forward.
>In spite of all their traumas and what they've done and are willing to do, they still aren't beyond being "saved"
That is all any of us can ever hope for, Anon.

>>
>>43527903
What a miserable situation that her one chance of salvation is with this guy.
>>
>>43528056
The thing is: Anon isn't even her one chance of a better life. Pony slavery is over and legally speaking she is just a nanny. She is completely allowed to run for the hills and try her luck in another household should things really get that dire. That would imply going back to square one however, and be forced to abandon yet another child and Sugarcube would rather die than go through that again. At the end of the day Sugarcube is a very traumatized mare even if it doesn't seem like it at first glance. It's just that the nature of her maladjustments is more insidious than Anon's.
>>
>>43528319
Also, if push came to shove I firmly believe that a fight between Sugarcube and Anon is more evenly matched than what may look like at first glance.
>>
>>43511924
Pinkamena would never do something like that; she's too sweet and innocent
>>
>>43527974
I'm really glad you like it, fren. I've doodled a few more Sugarcubes today as well. I'm trying to get used to drawing her more consistently, and also just for funsies.
>>43527983
Likewise Blondie, I appreciate your work immensely. It really means a lot to me. I look forward to where we go from here in the story, and what drama will undoubtedly unfold, and just what the future may hold for these poor souls. May they all find some semblance of happiness when this is all said and done.
>There's only one way for them: forward
Very well said. At times life can become unbearable, be it from your own choices or by others outside of your control, and you might wish for things to go back to how they were before, but that time has passed. There's only here and now, and what you do from here on defines you.
>>43527993
That'd be an interesting twist. I can definitely see it what with his possessive behavioral tendencies and various other underlying psychological issues.
>>43528053
I'm glad you like my doodles, fren. Obscure can be quite alluring, true, but I find that maw of hers moreso cute myself. I really liked when Anon fed her snacks. I also agree, Sugarcube is in dire need of some good rest. Unfortunately, I fear she won't be getting that anytime soon.

One of the things I like about Sally and the gang's story weirdly enough is that every hybrid we've met so far has been completely mentally fucked.
The basic conflict of the story is an I can fix her/She'll make you worse dichotomy but if we humor the thought that their problems are innate to their existence as hybrids more than actually being the product of anything that's happened in their lives it makes Anon's situation much more.... bleak.
Not only can YOU not fix her, she CAN'T be fixed. You can't talk it out with them like you would a human because they fundamentally don't process their thoughts and emotions the way a human would. There's no prescription you can give them because their brains are on a biochemical level different than ours. Nothing would work.
And what's worse is we don't even know what's actually nature and what's nurture. If we were confident that "all hybrids are just like that" then the takeaway would be that Anon can't waste the rest of his life babysitting mentally stunted half-breeds and he should just cut his losses and run. But we don't know. Our sample size is only 3 but all 3 have painted a pretty bleak outlook. We don't know if Anon really can fix them or if he's just going to get trapped in a never-ending cycle of bullshit of him trying his hardest to avoid stepping on landmines and then running damage control when he inevitably does.
It reinforces the fix her/break you conflict of the story, I think.

By the way, if you liked this I strongly STRONGLY reccomend you read Asper Kanojo. It's another story about a man trying to avoid getting trapped in a never-ending cycle of bullshit and has a happy ending where he does fix her. The main guy's a lot like Anon (at least I think so) and the main girl's a little bit like if you took Fringe's bluntness and mixed it with Sally's pessimism.
>>
>>43528605
>Asper Kanojo
thank you for the recommend, definitely will read.
i haven´t read manga in ages
>>
>>43528605
You're astute, Anon. Very very astute. I never once saw this as a situation of "I can fix her". He doesn't have a time machine. I don't know if there is any explicit theme at play when it comes to this story. They are how they are and what is happening is what is happening. If he never went down his path he would've been able to avoid all of this. For all we know, this is how his attempt at a career dies.
>the main guy's a lot like Anon
Hey now let's not get crazy. I remember that bag. That was the worst kind of freaky thing.
>>
>>43528726
I mostly agree with you in that I don't think there are any *explicit* themes but I do think there are things we can read into if we want.
Another one of the things I've been thinking about is that Sally and Fringe (and maybe Mettle but she hasn't really played her hoof yet) basically have two distinct manipulator and sincere personas that they switch between depending on what they want from Anon. Whereas Anon only really has the one persona that combines the two.
Even when cuddling with Sally he's still constantly probing, analyzing, and acting. Very rarely does he ever just "react" to something unless he's just genuinely caught off guard. Like when he got his face stomped in or when he watched Fringe shotgun a love potion.
In the same vein Fringe and Sally tend to react in extremes while Anon tends to remain more composed and doesn't really tend to internalize or take personally all that much to boot. And it does make sense considering his job is to manipulate people. Hell, we can add onto it and say that there's not a single manipulation attempt that either of the two of them have made that hasn't been immediately seen through by Anon and he only allows them to happen either due to permissiveness, weakness, or something else.

Also
>that bag
Counterpoint. Anon fucks horses.
>>
>>43528837
Go for it, I'm not stopping you at all. More just stating that I have no grand design or message at play.
>two distinct personas
They aren't quite good at it. I don't think so anyway. But that's because I'm me. I think Anon can see it easily too because they don't try to be subtle with him. Sally gets swept up in it, Fringe seems closer to Anon's level of understanding things. Enough that she then manipulates Sally. Sally may be aware, haven't seen enough proof behind that idea.
>constantly probing, analyzing and acting
>getting caught off guard
That is another interesting thing. Very very few people decide to try to make money telling others how to live or deal with their issues. That implies you've gone through enough shit to be able to understand and emphasize with others. Makes me wonder what led to his current point of being an AA sponsor yet having no shame drinking. Why he doesn't seem to value his career as much as he may think because he's giving both of them time to encroach.
>permissiveness, weakness or something else
He's a weak man. You can imagine strengths required to follow his path but all I see are faults. He sees faults too because Sally managed to adequately demoralize him... just for her to then turn it into seeing him being demoralized about her. I don't think that was manipulation on her part. I think that would be an extreme existential threat to her since she's aware she's not right.
>his job is to manipulate people
They really are a pair then, aren't they? Puts a hole in the idea of fixing her because while both have gone far beyond him in terms of manipulation, threats and hostility, they both seem keenly aware of what he is. I think that may be why he has no second face. I think both have had enough insight into him through his work that him acting out or pretending will be not just seen through but hostility in it's own way. It would also make him a severe hypocrite. More so than he already is, I mean.
If you ask me. I think Anon is weak. I think he may be ok with being manipulated if the satellite goal is to make him happy. Can argue that if someone pours that effort into you, they can't be lying. Explains why he went out with Fringe to grab treats and positive things after Sally had her breakdown. Birds of a feather too. Could be that he may even prefer their company compared to someone more... normal. Put together. Less fractured. I would be very afraid of Sally joining his shows. Even if she sits in the back, word may spread and yet even more Equestrians may seek him out. More to exploit money from. More issues to learn about. More that believe they have no hope.
>Anon fucks horses
To be fair, just the one. Horse singular. There was no penetration with Precious Mettle. The issue is that he was wearing something but she wasn't. She wouldn't have done that if she knew he wouldn't have enjoyed it. Thought about it for a long time. Kept her in his thoughts. Effective. She's in our thoughts now too.
>>
>>43528910
I don't know if very few people have his job. He reminds me of Opera or Dr. Phil. Just on a smaller scale.

>There’s a knock at your bedroom door
>”Annie? Are you alright in there?”
>Sugarcube’s voice
>She sounds concerned for you
>”Your dad and I ended up ordering pizza for dinner. You can come join us, if you want.”
>Are they really no longer angry with each other?
>Do you want to join them?
>...
>You are hungry though
>And pizza does sound nice
>You get off your bed and open the door
>In the dining room you can see Sugarcube and dad sitting there
>They smile at you
>You still remember dad yelling
>He sounded so angry
>You still love him, but Sugarcube seems friendlier just about now
>So you sit by her side
>She smells like mom
>That makes you feel a bit better
>There are two boxes of pizza
>One with pepperoni and the other one with mushrooms
>You grab a slice off of the mushroom pizza and take a bite
>It tastes good
>”Are you feeling better now, sweetheart?”
“Y-Yes.”
>”I can’t say it enough but I’m really sorry for losing my temper. You aren’t in trouble Annie, no one is mad at you, alright? Just make sure to ask for permission before grabbing something from my room.”
>Dad gives you a warm smile
>Sugarcube wraps her foreleg around you
>”We only had a disagreement, Annie. It won’t happen again. We promise!”
>She’s still wearing mom’s lipstick
>She still has that rose on her mane
>It seems like Dad is fine with it after all?
“Can… Can I get a hug?”
>Her horn glows and you feel an invisible force pulling you towards her
>The smell of mom
>You didn’t know how much you missed it
>Right as you let go off her, dad carries you in his arms and hugs you as well
>”You feeling better now, Sweetheart?”
>You think you do
>So you nod
>Both of them seem happy with your response
>The rest of the evening goes on as usual
>Sugarcube sings you a lullaby and you begin to feel sleepy
>You can faintly hear the sound of the tv
>You don’t get adults
>They fight and then suddenly they’re fine and then they watch tv as if nothing happened
>You don’t get it
>But you’re too tired to think about it so you fall asleep
>...
>You’re in a grassy field, walking very funnily
>Is it you or does everything look taller?
>Sugarcube is walking by your side
>In your other side there is a green stallion with a black mane
“Where are we going?”
>”We’re going to a party, Sweetheart,” the stallion replies
>He has dad’s voice
>As if on cue, Sugarcube levitates a little gift box
>”A birthday party, that is!”
“Wait, whose birthday is it?”
>Dad laughs
>”What? Can’t you remember your friend Applebloom?”
“No?”
>They both let out a hearty laugh
>”Oh Sweetheart, you and your sense of humor,” Sugarcube says
>There is a pond on the way
>You look at yourself in it
>And then you laugh
>Of course you are a filly! A unicorn filly!
>A filly with a coat as white as sugar, a mane dark like molasses and eyes green like sugar cane
>How silly of you
>To think you were anything else

Okay, one dream sequence is just a fun reference, but two!?
>>
>>43529852
Dream sequences are just fun to write for me. As much as I enjoy writing their current predicaments it is nice to write these characters in a happier, more idyllic place and what is more happy and idyllic than Equestria itself? Since I'm already doing that I figured that I might as well have them meet/interact with the characters we all know and love. Canonically speaking no one knows how Equestria actually looks like beyond the descriptions given by the very first ponies that wound up stranded on earth. In a sense most ponies in this setting treat Equestria as one would treat heaven: an idealized paradise that is unreachable for as long as you live.

I think the modern equivalents would be probably Stephan Molyneux or Jordan Peterson. They tend to be memes and far more online than not or have a lot of details that make them stand out but it seems like anyone who fits the "motivational speaker" niche tends to build a big platform digitally. I don't think Anon is anything resembling that popular but it is apparently enough that he can pay the bills. Not like he lives in a great place so he's not raking it in either. I think they used to be more popular back then. Dan Pena comes to mind as a public speaker but he's also retarded rich. From what I remember, he said that he used to give free lectures at airports and hotels and no one would go. So then he started charging $10k a seat and suddenly he'd sell out.
It's interesting. Sally mentioned that a lot of people that listen to him will smile and not and not actually do anything to help themselves. There is some truth in that, especially if they paid money and feel like it's more "legitimate" help. People tend to be weird about that. Big fixation on if it's quality, why is it free? If you're good at something, why do it for free? It can muddy the waters if you genuinely want to help people. Anon has already been dealing with that. How much is his talk actually worth. Something must've happened for him to go that route.
My concern is that he'll attract more and more Equestrians. Whatever he is talking about, some of them are resonating with it.
I'm also curious about that financial legitimacy aspect too. I wonder how many here would love to get paid for what they do. Or to have that sort of fame where they can show up and people will make a big to do about wanting what you make for free, or for trade. Or commission. After all, if you're good at what you do, why would you ever do it for free? Almost seems pessimistic.

today i dreamt of Fringe

>be me
>smacked 6 beers at a tavern after my 12 hour shift at the cancer chemical factory
>on the way to my small 1 bedroom apartment
>it´s dark as fuck out and the city is deserted
>meet a 4eyed fuzzball at an intersection
>"hi, anon!"
"good evening"
>"what are you doing walking around this place when it´s this dark out?"
"getting home from work"
>"let me escort you, it´s dangerous alone at night"
>we have met before
>i walked her to her apartment after i bumped into her once before
>she´s insistent on returning the favor
>we get to my place
>i reheat tomato soup for her
>"i guess i´ll have to stay the night, i can´t walk home alone at night through this gypsy ridden part of town"
>she insists on sleeping in my bed
>i sleep naked, i can´t let her sleep there, i´d be unhygienic
>that makes her want to sleep on my bed even more
>she refuses to let me take the couch
>we go to sleep together in my bed
>she´s lying on top of me like picrel
>wake up because it´s 10 degrees celsius (aprox. 50hamburgers) in my room

>he dreams of ponies
I'm jealous

You wouldn't last an hour with her, anon. Let's be honest. Trespassing charge won't stick, you let her in too eagerly. Rape charge won't stick, she didn't even have to lead it in. Raw heat and a clench of thighs was enough. Just hope she isn't serious when she says her charges might stick with all of that evidence soaked in on her.
As the zoomies say, you're cooked.
>>
>>43530438
>Rape charge won't stick, she didn't even have to lead it in
can´t rape the willing
>her charges
see above
>>
>>43530265
She tries to give you a wing-hand job.
>>
>>43531007
>tries
>implying she hasn't practiced on many items
>>
>>43530670
Gotta remember, if she puts on the waterworks... no one's gonna believe you. Anon's smart. Smart enough to not test her when she says it because it only has to work once.
