How do we handle the fact that AI artists grow faster than regular artists in the fandom these days? Should we get a campaign going to promote regular artists? You don't see anywhere near the same level of undeserved ego from a programmer, or even a writer, as you see from someone making doodles. It is why AI chafes many of them so much, I've seen more than one confess that knowing AI can generate images easily makes them want to throw it all away. >>43522176It makes one wonder why artists even complain about AI like it's going to actually replace them. 99% of AI art is still the same boring shit as it was last year and the year before that. Even if you are a technically weak artist, the ability to come up with even a modicum of a creative idea or adding a unique flair to your drawings automatically makes you better than nearly all AI generated stuff.

>>43522436>If AI artists are to gain any respectI don't want respect. I want to make cute ponies. I don't care about anyone's opinion on that matter.
>>43522417You're technically right. But consider that most people who are motivated enough to learn to draw do so because they want to be able to get their fun, creative ideas onto paper. It goes without saying that there are both creative and uncreative makers of AI and non-AI art.I believe that having an understanding of what brings a good art piece together lets you see better where you can push the limits and come up with interesting things, no matter what you are making. It is no wonder that the best AI artists are also capable of doing traditional art if they really wanted to.
>>43522436I mean, regular artists CAN animate episodes, but uh...
>>43522459Yeah, this right here is the main reason people are turning to AI.
>>43522459With how much of this kind of shit still gets drawn and put in the limelight, I'm suddenly optimistic about AI drowning these fags out.
>>43522459It all makes sense now
>>43522459oh please, those "people" CAN'T reanimate an episode. That's why they had to split it up into a million tiny fragments so each artist could self-fellate with their own style. It isn't a team of people coming together with discipline to make a cohesive fan-project. The advantage of multi animator projects like that though is that for every dogshit nigger humanisation in there, there was at least one other decent artist who is already way better at animation than whatever AI is currently capable of. Picking out the worst artists as a reason why the average artist is worse than AI is idiotic, and telling of your incapability to appreciate nice things when you see them. Maybe if you weren't so sensitive and fixated on the worst things people can put on paper with a pen, you would be able to see that most artists are still better than AI.
>>43522452Hey, this is a shitpost thread. You're not supposed to make sense in here. But yeah. Judge images by how they are, their composition, and the idea behind them instead of the tools used to make them. You can do more than boring trash and goonslop but you have to put your mind into it and go through a bit of effort to both help the AI out with what it can't do and fix its mistakes.

>>43522020>solo95% of art is solo mare. I look at my clop folder and it's almost all solo mareThe funny thing is, almost all of them are in 2 poses. Presenting or spread. AI isn't creative because porn isn't creative. The one thing that sets her apart is everything being top notch quality. I look at my clop folder and it's honestly garbage compared to top tier AI artists these days. The pussies are a variety of mangled. The faces and noses are rarely good. I've considered just deleting it outside of like 10 artists I like but I'm keeping it around for personal archive purposes and because I spent way too long autistically archiving and naming thousands of pieces of clop.
>>43522954That might just be your taste in clop. Only about 50% of my folder is solo. Even out of the solo images I've got they're all interesting by virtue of style, pose, setting, etc. All of my images are identifiable to me independently, like I could be thinking of one with no chance of getting it confused for another. That novelty is what's really important for my tastes. AI stuff looks nice at first but gets boring quickly and most significantly ends up being too samey.
>>43522954My problem with AI is just that it inherits the average and produces the average. As far as horse pussy goes, the average is not great, it tends to look like a bolted-on innertube shape, see shino for example. Very few artists do it with the 'exceptional' quality I expect, and AI simply never reaches 'above average' in terms of the minutiae of the pony form. It's only the exceptional and thus the personal that interests me about art in the first place, and AI doesn't produce that.
>>43522979p.s. I looked up shino on ponerpics to confirm I was remembering right and it's literally 30+ images of stallions, futa, and human loli before one single visible horse pussy. wtf man

>>43522989>>43522979I love stoic too, but like most regular artists he's always had issues with facial anatomy, and honestly the pone vag has never been that great. I tried to find some of his better ones in my folder. https://files.catbox.moe/ln3wo2.jpgMeanwhile an AI editor is going to drop top quality. I'd argue it's like steroids in that case. Natural look great when they peak, and everyone applauds their effort, but they aren't winning any competitions that way. Inject a little LLM and stuff hits a new level of base quality. From there the AI editor uses those art skills to take it to the next level every time. To me, face and pussy are the first things my eyes go to. If either are off it ruins the piece. I sucked it up for a decade with brony art. Now a handful of AI artists (Cloudmid, Celjewnia, Goblintide, Ramprover to name a few) constantly drop god tier clop. Goblintide and CM out of those have a great variety too. Both have fun captions, loads of pairs and threesomes, a variety of toys and settings. I honestly don't think there's a pose or concept that hasn't been done between the two of them.

>>43523176I mean those are okay, but they are so bland. To me stoic's faces look a good deal better. The princesses in your example have normal pony faces rather than alicorn ones, the ponuts have that weird ring/lump around the bottom (the one fandom artists hallucinated from not using references), the ponut and vulva looks inflated like an innertube even when being stretched, and they look bolted-on and out of place from too much contrast. Sure this is all nitpicks, but it's the same nitpicks I have for every single AI image I've seen. Varied compositions and pairings etc are not interesting when they're made of bland details with the same flaws and benefits I've seen a million times before.Maybe they *are* god tier in terms of consistency, but that goes both ways, it means they never do anything interesting or revolutionary. Like, the whole idea of 'base quality' is beside the point, no matter how far you push it, it's all in the same lane and the whole appeal of art is to explore and be novel. I would like to see an example of an AI focused artist who actually does go above and beyond - or rather horizontal - to the middling AI standard and does something unique/individually expressive. 'Quality' with no personal vision is just a waste of time.
>>43523226i used to fall for the neural net narrative that became more an excuse, really models are what they are-digital art, where a guy without skill will edit in gimp the colors of their character or alter an image, the closest thing to AI they use is the magic wand's ability to spot patterns and colors in a picture to change it, or adjust pose, repeat a background.I was totally hyped for AI but it's a smokescreen for preserving a fake bubble market. Copyright laws are obsolete and should have been abolished as soon people could make mixtapes or sample existing music. Artist: Make lots of art. Some artists share and draw free requests. Most sell commissions. When you sell a commission, you keep all the profit and no one else benefits. Most fandom artists even the ones who call themselves leftists have always been capitalists the moment they put restrictive copyright or licenses on their media or code.Redistributing, training, sharing, and remixing lets people who don’t have your skill (a skill that often comes with privilege) create something almost like you do.Every democracy has some taxation. This won’t affect you much you’ll just see more art.The impact of AI on artists is small because AI artists are still a minority.People need a sona or a design for their identity. Not everyone can afford commissions.AI is a solution for people who used to rely on sliders in digital editing apps.Putting a signature and watermark on your art makes you selfish.Teaching someone to draw and expecting them to put in the same effort, while assuming they have the same abilities, is even worse it makes people feel inferior and is patronizing.Embrace AI if you love art more than yourself and your profits.Be a pathetic elitist little shit who makes people feel miserable just because the skills you acquired over years give you status. >i don't have the money to commission an artist>spends thousands on AI
>>43526509>One graphics card that cost me 400 bucks>Infinite supply of imagesDunno, seems like a sound investment to me.
>>43526509>people would rather spend thousands on a water boiler than interact with your wonderful personality for three emailsFunnily enough real artists aren't effected since they basically just do advertising work for small businesses so this sort of thing hardly impacts them at all
>>43526503Recoloring or photoshopping art isn't copying. it's altering existing art.
>>43526514You are constantly copying other artists by referencing other people's art with your mind. If you didn't your art would look like those drawings people made in the Middle Ages.
>>43526527This isn't how “AI” art works but that's ok.>>43526394Indeed.>>43526513That's correct.Honestly, a real company that needs high-resolution images for print and logos still can’t rely on AI. The only “AI” most professional artists will use is Adobe Illustrator.Artists were supposed to be replaced, but they won’t be. A lot of us hoped AI art would grow into a real revolution, but the hype died years ago. It won mostly through propaganda, and because the early development never had enough real energy behind it, the whole thing faded fast. AI art is still a minority practice. It could have gone differently, but the people who keep pushing it are mostly coomers. That said, I still think the right thing about machine learning (or “stealing,” or legalizing heavy editing) is that it should challenge copyright law and cut down the power that a few top artists hold over every fandom. It forces them to share a little of that control.Do you really think most people pay taxes on art commissions? Exactly. So whether it’s through AI or some other means, a little exploitation of artists makes sense to anyone with a conscience, it forces them to share.A fandom or all art communities should be collectivistic. Artists are capitalists, they generate value with little investment and hold the monopoly on creative output. That should cut social tensions and frustration between fans and artists.
>>43526555>Honestly, a real company that needs high-resolution images for print and logos still can’t rely on AI.Do you live under a rock? Half of all ads are now AI generated. 100% of new small business logos, posters, promotional materials and shit are AI. Nobody gives a shit about any artifacts or how it looks.
>>43521285The faces I can kind of understand because it has so much to draw from and getting a face "right" is just matter of being on model but in a different style, but AI seems to do equine forelegs better than many artists and I don't understand why.

>>43520578...you know those 8k followers are *also* AI, right?
>>43522459>Twilight is near!?>Hey, you guys, Twilight is near!
43526509As someone who spends most of my free time and energy making style LoRAs and building datasets from as many artists as I can find, I can tell you AI art is not free. Just like editing images was never free. It's still cheaper than an Adobe Creative Cloud or Clip Studio/Procreate subscription, though. Hardware is the biggest cost, but the time sinks hard too.Digging for the right images, hunting down old or alternate styles, cutting out wrong characters, running endless tests locally, sending them to others only to get torn apart in feedback, starting over, crying a little, finding the one garbage image in the dataset that was dragging everything down, filling the gaps with whatever works, scrubbing out signatures and Patreon watermarks like the last desperate cash-grabs they are, then uploading it to Civitai... all so people can get something for maybe 20% of what a commission from the original artist would cost. It's a grind, but it's also social. You share models, people test them, iterate together, and the whole fandom gets more tools. That's liberating. Traditional artists just want to keep the gate locked and the prices high.>>43526394The mere existence of copyright already shows how selfish and possessive a lot of these so-called creative minds are. The fact they defend it so hard proves they care more about protecting their ego than actually feeding the community. And that's not even the worst part.Artists who are actually good have usually been drawing for over a decade, since school or earlier. When they smugly say "just learn to draw," it's pure patronizing gatekeeping and enslaving. Most fans will try, fail, and quit. When they do "help," they just clone themselves: "draw the pony like this, shapes like that, legs bend this way, eyes like that." People clap, the fan drops every other hobby, and suddenly their entire life is trying (and mostly failing) to become a lesser version of that artist. What they never admit is that a lot of them are reclusive nerds who checked out of normal media, games, social life, everything. They barely even enjoy each other's company. And the biggest lie of all? Drawing your own porn is a massive boner-killer. You can't have that with AI art because you don't have spent hours correcting the genitalia size. It shows up naturally.I'm all-in on AI art. It's the first thing that actually feels open and shared instead of locked behind commissions and attitude. But looking at how things are going lately and always waiting for updates that are never fulfilling promises (PDV7, Zoinks etc). the whole scene is starting to fray. Models get restricted, datasets get nuked, platforms panic, and the same old artist crowd is cheering for every new limitation mocking people killing morale. I'm honestly getting scared about where AI is headed but I will fight til the end, I'm close to my 50s and never felt so motivated for the younger generation that should grow without art being a business.
>>43526960Check out Krea2 if you want to try something new.https://huggingface.co/Comfy-Org/Krea-2/tree/main/diffusion_modelsThere's also Anima but I think it's just flat out worse than Krea right now. And also kind of a sidegrade to Illustrious/Noob anyways. The problem with both of those is that neither is trained on a furry dataset so they can't really do ponies. I guess there's some LoRA's but they're more a bandaid. So there are new models that are good, but they can't poniponi.

>>43522210That's usually the problem with AI art and writing even. Sure, on it's surface it's visually impressive and looks good but there's usually a fundamental lack of creative spark. There's never anything being told in these images unless the meat proxy typing in the prompt is extremely good so any real artists have nothing to prove
>>43522465I was anti AI till i saw that image. I hope all these disgusting progressives get thrown out if the creative process

>>43526042Bruh we collective as hell. At least a nigga hope Anonymous still got that solidarity in they heart. Artists used to be empathetic, share the process, the resources, let other artists run the copy. I grew up street artist, we teach, we communicate, we look out for each other ain’t no “I” in ART. We create, we steal, we crack, we smash. Fandom forgot all that ‘cause fanartists be some straight elitist pieces of shit. Multitask, diversify the portfolio, go try other styles.
Darkdoomer won. Aijeets lost.
>>43527051It's pretty much a certainty that will happen. Good artists don't need to virtue signal, their talent and skills speak for themselves. It's only mediocre artists that need to form cliques and bring poolitics into a place where it isn't needed or even wanted, as can be seen from the reaction their kind of "art" gets. AI will weed out the mediocre artists, and the real actual talented artists will remain, but I think it might also give rise to a new type of artist, the mediocre artist employing AI to propel itself above other mediocre traditional artists, once they swallow down their pride and relent in their already losing "battle" against AI. That might either be good or bad - it's good if the quality bar gets raised, but if they bring back their woke nonsense or other garbage nobody wants it might be a bad development.
>>43527179>but I think it might also give rise to a new type of artist, the mediocre artist employing AI to propel itself above other mediocre traditional artistsThis is the bit im most excited about. I know there are people out there who have good ideas who can sketch out a scene or comic but it'll have no polish and gain no traction. But with AI, their ideas can have the polish that their circumstances would never allow. This technology with yield slop for the most part but there are bound to be amazing things that come of it with someone of the right mind behind the wheel of the creative vision
>>43527224Yeah, but again, only if they leave their progressive brainrot at the door. But the types with those "ideals" and especially the need to proselytize for them all the time are typically the ones who are completely mindbroken about AI so they're probably not very likely to use it anyway.
>>43527224Polish is just eye candy. If the underlying image isn't interesting by itself, having more polish doesn't usually help. In fact, I can find the lack of polish endearing.I think AI removes a lot of personality that the individual would have used, which is why I think most AI images are boring to me.As an artist, you should continue to try to improve. Using AI to enhance your images skips the steps necessary to develop those and doesn't help you grow.

>>43522210>>43527042The issue is the average artist is about as creative as the average proompter, they just have mechanical skill. I'm speaking in general, not just regarding the fandom. I'm also not trying to diminish drawing skills but they don't necessarily increase the quality or variety of your ideas.Or if they do, I can't imagine what ideas the people drawing solo female pieces over and over had before.>unless the meat proxy typing in the prompt is extremely good There are some that use posemyart/Koikatsu/sketches for references, and some even edit or redraw stuff. Three years ago I watched a video of a weeb separating a gen into different layers and then redrawing each one just so they could load it into live2d Cubism and animate it. But I'm sure reasonable people can agree that at that point you're doing something beyond generating images. The real issue is the 99% that just play the AI gacha and post whatever comes out.
>>43528330Yes. That’s all they fucking have. the skill to put pretty pictures on a screen or the remains of a tree with a stick. That’s it. And somehow that makes their commissions cost a goddamn fortune while the rest of us are supposed to just sit here and take it. You do this shit in your free time, right? So why can’t you at least *listen* when someone tries to tell you what they actually want? Why does the entire fandom treat you like some untouchable god just because you can hold a stylus? And why the fuck do they lock everything down so tight when there are people out here with real ideas -genius-level concepts- who just can’t express them? I feel like a mute who has to scream just to be heard. I tried drawing myself. I sat there for hours, shaking, trying to make something that didn’t look like complete garbage. And what did I get? People laughing at me. Calling me pathetic. Saying I should just give up. I wanted to end it all right there. I'm not wired for this and it was scary. So I started generating, it's fantastic, people love it, I love it, I feel like someone. And somehow it’s even worse when showing to my mutuals. Now the haters come harder. The artists I wanted to get closer to act like I’m the scum of the earth for daring to use a tool that actually lets me create something. They’re horrible. Over time they just grind people down until everyone who isn’t “skilled” feels completely useless. I refuse to praise them. Most of them only do this for profit or for the little dopamine hit of fame. I’m not even talking about the big names. Even the mediocre ones, the ones whose art is honestly mid as hell or childish, I can get names let's go Pylony, Lunashy Jackusi, Ponylonez, Narukopony get more audience and more recognition than anything an AI artist puts out because the viewer prefer to spot a flaw in the gen than the shit quality from a meme sketch that makes up threads. This entire fandom is toxic. This is why it breeds fascism. It forces this impossible, soul-crushing competition where the only people allowed to win are the ones who already have the “right” skills. Everyone else gets crushed under the weight of it while they act natural, while knowing it's a battle. That’s because the system is rigged, Anon. The whole fucking system is rigged against anyone who isn’t already in the club. And the more I think about it, the more it just drains every last drop of energy I have left.
>>43528423>Yes. That’s all they fucking have. the skill to put pretty pictures on a screen or the remains of a tree with a stick. That’s it. >>43528423That must have been building up for a while anon. While I can't relate, you have a point regarding the worship of artists, even mediocre ones. They are a protected class that also victimizes themselves but that's just the way things are.You though? I think you have a big problem with wanting attention. Are you really better than them if you're just trying to get validation? Food for thought. Henry Darger didn't give a shit to the point they only found his work after he died. Also don't expect any kind of understanding from anyone who isn't involved with AI. Don't expect a bigger audience either, but really, unless you're chasing the dollar clout shouldn't matter to you much.I suggest you give drawing another try, just for yourself. But start from the basics of shapes and perspective and don't expect your drawings to not look like shit. Forget about showing it to others here or your mutuals either. It'll make your AI stuff better in the long run too. Consider pixel art as well, it's different enough you may have an easier time.>>43528427It is more likely someone with the hardware to gen has a real job than someone doing commissions. You'd understand this if you were old enough to post here.
>>43528423>I tried drawing myself. I sat there for hours, shaking, trying to make something that didn’t look like complete garbage.Everyone who has tried to draw has gone through the struggle to improve like this. The only difference between artists and non-artists are that the artists are those who stuck with it. It's true that there are people who drew a lot when they were children and seemingly manage to begin their internet era of artistry with a higher baseline of skill, but even they will experience the frustration of trying to draw better. Drawing is supposed to be a labor of love, it is a fundamentally difficult thing to learn and those who pursue it simply for attention or money will almost certainly end up miserable or giving up.Sorry that people laughed at you, but most people are actually supportive of those making a genuine effort to improve their artistic skills. The great thing about artist communities is that there are many people in them who have struggled in the same way you have and made it past that point. Many artists are actually eager to give advice to people who're just beginning like you, since they want others to avoid some of the suffering they went through to gain their skills.
>>43528423This is pathetic. You really think there is a system rigged against inexperienced artists to pick up a pencil and draw? No one is stopping you from doing anything. It's your fault for expecting to be making masterpieces with no experience. Yeah, no shit you're going to be bad at it. Everyone begins terribly. But if you actually try to learn, address the flaws you see, you could probably be making decent pictures in just under a year. The good artists you see are the ones kept at it. They weren't good either at some point. And yeah, so what, people laugh or belittle your art. Take all criticism, even negative, as an opportunity to learn and do better. But you're too much of a pussy.
I like that whether you either hate or love his work, at least we can all agree that Celunia is a Jew.

>>43525314Actually maga is the black preference party and we be samplin
I use AI and tried drawing for a looooong time before AI existed. I fully admit that I'm using it for the most part because I'm way too lazy to put in the effort to grind for years on end to get the kind of quality that I want. I'm mostly interested in the end result, so I'm perfectly happy using AI and what little drawing skills I have built up to guide the diffusion process, and I don't particularly give a shit if people don't like it, I'll be using it regardless.
>>43528330it doesn't matter "how creative" the artist is, because the artist is fundamentally a unique human being. His mistakes, flaws, strengths, and goals are and always will be unique to him. Why don't AIggers understand that their slop just doesn't look good to ensouled humans? Do they really think all the faces look different from each other? >>43520578>How do we handle the fact that AI artists grow faster than regular artists in the fandom these days? They don’t. AI art had its peak in 2023–2024 when the models were still rapidly improving and new techniques kept appearing. Since then it’s largely stagnated. Public models and generators are converging on the same faces, the same expressions, the same overused lighting and the same bland “pony-adjacent” style. Everything is starting to look interchangeable because the process is fundamentally about averaging and remixing existing work rather than developing a distinct visual voice. Follower counts on Twitter/X mean almost nothing. That platform is saturated with bots and heavily promotes AI content, so the numbers are inflated. In actual organic circles I barely see mutuals engaging with most of these accounts. No, I don’t think we need some campaign to “promote regular artists.” Traditional artists don’t need extra institutional attention. AI generation already feels like yesterday’s novelty to a lot of people. And the AI side knows it on some level. You never actually acquire a durable skill. That broken promise is exactly what produces the kind of bitter frustration you’re seeing in posts like >>43528423. You thought this was the easy path to relevance and validation. In practice it’s closer to the old DeviantArt noob who just recolors existing images to fit his OC. There are other creative outlets that reward effort more honestly: writing, music, whatever actually fits you. Real artists succeed because they have the temperament for it. They can sit with the same tools for years without getting bored, and they develop genuine judgment. Most people don’t have that disposition, and that’s fine. Don’t take it personally. The hostility isn’t usually aimed at you as a person; it’s aimed at the process. I’ve spoken with a number of traditional artists about this. To them the tool is largely pointless for their own work, and the “just redistribute everything” argument doesn’t hold up under scrutiny. There is no mechanism that magically equalizes results. A few weeks ago I sat in on a small private group of them. I half-expected hostility. Instead they just let me watch while they shared work. No one cared about my name, and when I mentioned I’d trained a few models the reaction was mild indifference more than anything else. Some people are simply better at this than others. Sometimes by a wide margin. Accepting that is healthier than nursing resentment. So get over it, Anon. Either keep generating the same thing on loop with the rest of the /aia/ thread or go find something that actually develops you.
I paid this Trixie three bits to stare at you.

>>43530961>freeUh, how are the newer models (such as Anima, which is not SDXL technology) not "free"?
>>43530961Krea2 came out not long ago.It just doesn't have the e621 dataset in its training data so it doesn't do ponies.
>>43520578Why can I immediately tell something is ai? It’s getting better and more varied as the years go on, but there’s still that something.
>>43530992You can't, really. It's just because the majority of AI art that gets made is done in the semi-realistic detailed style. If I gen an image in sketchy crayon style you wouldn't be able to tell (this is how luddites got owned in the past with AI generated Sanic scribbles).Try some LoRAs that do a more "simple" art style sometime, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
>>43530975Anima is the same danbooru tagslop that gives zero new capabilities.>>43530987Now this is just pure useless vibeslop
>>43530992The OP style is very generic. It's a common style that a lot of people in the AI sphere use. If you want some artists that play with other styles try these: https://tantabus.ai/tags/creator-colon-mirtahttps://tantabus.ai/tags/editor-colon-celuniamoonhttps://tantabus.ai/tags/creator-colon-cloudwings

>>43531127>luddite draws the usual misinformed luddite conclusionMany such cases
>>43520578"AI artists" are no more artists than patrons whom commission art. Prompting an AI model what to do does not qualify anybody as an artist or an author. >>43531584The amount of trans that actually pass has to be less than 1%. Almost all of them are absolute abominations.
>>43531623Yeah, just like AI pictures, genius.Any slopper trying to pass as an artist will be found out in under 10 pictures.
>>43531645>hurr durr
>>43531072Out of those artists. Only mirta has a handful of images that I think could actually fool me into thinking they were not made with AI. In general though even though they're using slightly different styles the images still register on my AI-dar, there's just something about AI images that makes them feel trashier than regular artwork. I'm not articulate enough to communicate what exactly it is but it's absolutely noticeable in all these examples. The bigger problem I have is that if it is technically possible to make AI images that don't obviously look like AI, why don't most AI artists just do that? Why does nearly everyone use the same gross looking slop style? Seriously what is the appeal of generating the same homogeneous sludge over and over supposed to be?
>>43520578Does anyone use Cooliehigh's model? I like his style, but not his content.
>>43521975>He's a schizo pretending the fandom is controlled by some kind of pedophile elite.Anon, I...
>>43532102Because a lot of people that like AI art want that clean shaded style. those artists up there even do those sometimes, but it's of course not as popular. It's just a few words changed in the prompt to get flatter, low shading styles like that. They are just a lot more niche audience so no one bothers.
>>43532102>trashier than regular artwork. It is all in the details. Open any image and check small sections like the flowers, clothing patterns, background objects, sections where lines intersect, etc. Checking small details should go first because even inpainting will have issues with a 150x150 section.>Why don't most AI artists just do that? With regards to styles it is because everyone copies each other and uses the same models and loras. It doesn't help that many pony loras are shitty slop with baked-in artifacts. Then there is the the fact improving a gen takes work and knowledge beyond playing the proompt gacha. Almost nobody wants to spend 5 minutes inpainting a limb, or spend 1 hour redrawing a pair of glasses.
>>43522006>>43525127>>43532190These kinds of "epic" styles are also a dead giveaway.
>>43532190This one is shaded differently to the typical AI style, but the composition of the image still flags it in my eyes as AI. Also the design of the ponies surrounding Luna.
>>43532225RIP Huussii
>>43531708Funny how all you can say is >hurr durr luddite instead of posting positive examples of exceptional quality AI art. It's almost as if it doesn't exist or you're gatekeeping it just like the evil circlejerking artists. Here are the highest rated images from tantabus this year. Which one shows the amazing progress since 2024?
>>43532102>Why does nearly everyone use the same gross looking slop style? The people yearn for 1girl, standing in the default glossy 2.5d style. And it's not just an AI thing. The more creative styles I prompt get like third to half the updoots of the more basic ones. The most popular stuff is just softcore porn, and that's because I don't upload any explicit stuff. If I did, that's be the most popular by a fair margin.
>>43532225The problem is people keep calling art that isn't flat shading and goofy cartoon characters AI now. It's fucking annoying on social media watching artists I've known for a decade get a bunch of "AI SLOP" replies whenever they post something with even a modicum of effort because everyone desperately wants to pretend they are AI detectives. Literally any high end artist on art station is going to get this shit constantly. The most stealthy ai artists are ironically the ones with the simple, hard shaded styles. See Celunia's redbubble shop ponies. Those always get piles of comments saying "I love your drawings!" and "Omg how did you get so good??" on Instagram. Not a peep about AI on any of them. EQD and Derpibooru apparently got sketches from her to prove they are sketched first and ai assisted but there's no way anyone shits out that many that quickly.
>>43528427hate my job, hate my life, hope to improive and become someone faded because this is all about elite protects an elite>>43528464Years even before AI i have been hyper for it now it feels like no one really cares because they're fed lies>>43528914That's it hope you can be proud of your reply whilefully getting the situation...>Not everything needs to be a competition, or a fucking rat race. They dont want to kill AI, they want to kill AI artists.Despite the work done understanding models, command line, being fluent with Reforge, stabilitymatrix, Comfyui, helped creating models contributing working, spending nights solving problems, working day to pay the bills, rage and fight, working hard, putting efforts for fantastic results and getting insulted. I wanted recognition and just a compliment but I destroyed myselfnot because I'm not good, but because art lovers and art scene is the most toxic place for mental well being, you're all fucking insane and fans are shit who dont deserve our energy or talent. You don't understand that for some of us that's all we have in life and stomp on it, them look you got blood on your hands, next time you boast about your god given talent or fake skill this is what you're doing to people who wanted to change the fandom. This changes tonight, tomorrow it'll make the news. Many will cry, but I want us to fight and react and to start a revolt in all art not just fandoms. I'm both ending myself and starting something bigger.
So hypothetically speaking if someone was interested in drawing cartoon ponies what are the best resources to start learning from 0?
Why's it matter if you can tell that an AI generated image is AI generated? Why should I bother trying to make it look like something it isn't?>>43532397You sound incredibly bitter. You'll never get anywhere if you start doing art so you can get popular or famous. That road leads to burning yourself out by doing niche fetish commissions for money. It has to be for the love of expression and joy of creation. Most of the stuff I do is just random shit I happen to fancy at some moment when I have time to fire up the gen and edit the result until it's passable. I could be far more popular (if measured in updoots) but I don't especially like doing the popular cookie cutter stuff. What I'd like to accomplish with what I do is make people drop their double standards around AI images. You shouldn't decide if you like an image or not based on the tools used to create it.No pic because I'm not home to gen anything. I'll do something later after work. Maybe in lineless flat color style, or perhaps outline only. The kinda stuff that isn't at all popular and makes people ask if this trash is really the best AI can do.
>>43532532That's one thing I like about some of the AI artists that have gotten bigger. They all seem to genuinely love it. I keep bringing up CM but her hype for pony and her OC's is kinda infectious. I always look forward to when she ponifys them since I know she's probably going to go all out on it. It's funny comparing it to like, her Loona art. She clearly does not give a fuck about that character. It's about as slop as it gets but her gold tier people constantly ask for Loona so she delivers. Also helps that she's got the same rampant panty fetish I do.
>>43532532>Why's it matter if you can tell that an AI generated image is AI generated?Because if I can tell that an image is AI generated then that means it looks similar to every other AI generated image. It has a mass-produced, low value style that I don't like seeing everywhere. It's not the same with other tools like pencils vs digital art because when people make art with those tools their pictures all look aesthetically distinct based on the artist. Obvious AI art favours the same compositions, the same rendering, the same subjects, and even the same mistakes no matter who is making it. If someone does make an AI image and I can't tell, then that's great! Because it means the picture is actually showing me something unique instead of the usual slop that AI images turn out to be.
Nothing will change the fact this is not AI; this is just a chatbot automating image editing for people too lazy to open Gimp and layer a good dozen of existing art. >>43532397Please put some towels and paper in your basement before spraying it with cephallorachidian fluid. Thank you.
>>43532555>I always look forward to when she ponifys them since I know she's probably going to go all out on it.lmao lazy nigger can't even properly ponify his own OC
AI is great for porn. Because you want something that is not very specific. Character, location, pose. Works great. But I find AI is not so great for art that has more purpose than having a wank. Especially if you want many outputs that are consistent with each other, not only in style, but also content. In this case AI is good for prototyping and exploring ideas. But at some point you need an artist to correct the anomalies, make it consistent etc.Porn artists are endangered species. Other artists are in better position.
MoonieYou can do different styles if you want. It just takes experimenting with tags and weights and sometimes a lot of rolling to get a good one. I don't think I've really seen anyone else with the required time and patience for it. Especially since something like this isn't popular in the slightest. On the contrary. Also this one is completely unedited, though upscaled, raw generator output.
>>43532225Yeah, because legacy artists are literally incapable of making them lmao

>>43533610I've been posting ponies to Inkbunny since it started, Inkbunny also has a pony mascot version you can change the theme to. I went there so I could post fillies.
Inkbunny is only like 2 years younger than pony, I can vouch that it had a lot of pony artists like Kevinsano posting there at the time.
>>43534326Inkbunny was made by and for anthro artists who could not stand furries and the furry doctrine of FA. >get invaded by furries>I'm cool I can be staff? >you don't belong here.
>>43534321That's the problem. Inkbunny became the cub fur site. Honestly these days though, Twitter and Instagram are where artists are actually advertising and boorus are where their galleries are. There's no need for any of these since the audience just isn't there. Who the hell still uses fur affinity?

>>43534716So there's foalcon in Inkbunny?
>>43534716Uhh, based?
>>43534335Another reason besides audience reach is that these sites don't limit what kind of art you can post. Want to post pony? That's fine. Are you also a furfag and want to post yiff yiff shit? You can. You like some anime also and want to post fanart of that? That's also fine. The only site that comes close is Deviantart. And that doesn't allow explicit porn (even though it gives a lot of leeway) so Xitter "beats" it in that regard, at least nowadays. As long as you have no problem with associating a real-life identity to your coom I guess kek.
>>43532413Find artworks that you like and do your best to copy them. Trace them and find the underlying shapes that define the body. Then try to apply it to something you want to do. Use references to guide what you do, and build on a library of works you like looking at to build a style that you enjoy. But like the other anon said, /bale/ is probably a good place to start with getting feedback.
>>43520578Natural selection. The retarded will become more and more reliant on AI, which will continue to feed on data and itself until it inevitably kicks off AI psychosis and mass A.I death occurs. Every time you use A.I and interact with it, you're paying an unseen price. Especially the better it gets. That price is your ability to think coherently gets a little more degraded each time. The cognitive load-off becomes gradually more severe. This is apparent across any type of A.I usage, even interacting with the A.I search summary is incredibly caustic. The more you interact with it, the worse off you are. Eventually the burden becomes too much and the person dies, spiritually and, often shortly after, physically.>Inb4 take meds Look up online you will find hundreds of people reliant on this technology now talking about having A.I agents in their head, dictating their thoughts for them. Cross compare this with the rise in A.I psychosis and the amount of people saying they no longer can function without A.I in their lives. It's kind of amazing. We're watching an actual mass-murder take place. Meanwhile, anytime I see an A.I image or thread, I shift-click and go about my day. Or I deliberately look away from the screen/shut my brain off so I'm not interacting with it mentally. As for everyone else actually engaging with A.I...... The slaves will serve, I guess! If people want to commit mass suicide, I suppose that's their business.
>>43535263Outside the physical aspect of mass death, we're seeing a phenomenal genocide of culture(s) that occur through A.I flooding. A.I is like counterfeit currency. The more there is of it in circulation, the worse off everyone else is. The better it gets, the more harmful it becomes. The thing A.I is counterfeiting is "being". It's your "soul". Your inner experience. That being the case, one of it's major targets is "culture", which is nothing other than an inner expression of ones subjective relationship to the world around them. A.I is great for mimicking that and diluting/poisoning it. As niche subcultures like our own become flooded with more A.I slop, it gradually kills the original culture. This also extends to larger cultures. It's an amazing process to watch. A community posts more and more A.I until eventually all the art, thoughts and etc thats posted is exactly the same. Then the culture just kind of becomes hollow and...poof. gone! It just becomes all A.I feeding into itself to death eventually. The debt from counterfeiting bankrupts it into non-existence. I have had more sympathy in the past for the people getting tricked and addicted by this and losing their cultures, but now i just shrug my shoulders. If /MLP/ dies, it dies, and the only people to blame are the retards who fed into the A.I death machine. I'll stick to my own business meanwhile and rebuild after all the retards kill each other off.

>>43535277>>43535263You're right IMO but it's worth noting that the same thing happens even without AI. Outpourings of human nature, like good cultures that produce a surplus of energy to support our fellows, create an environmental niche/selection pressure, and patterns evolve to consume the surplus. Historically we rely on this surplus as a social species. We collectively don't have a great psychological immune system, and the modern era of extremely good condensed access to the noosphere is the psychological equivalent of medieval london, the hotbed breeding ground for psychological plague. Ideology used to be the top dog, but AI is the latest and greatest predator to take root on the Galapagos Islands of the human noosphere.

Do you often share netflix accounts or watch pirated movies? You're a thief like the same who will edit existing images, that's what AI is a revolution about not just in digital, it erases the past you choose what image you edit, mixing millions together so no one can claim paternity. If artists had a soul they would embrace that and claim they are happy being trained on like the biggest art collab in humanity. They hate it, and guess what if you hate AI, your art is already in the models. We can't have jack of all trades with traditional ways so stealing existing art to make it possible is valid. And it's redefining law.Trump wont abolish copyright, he wants an AI to replace educators, and humans taking important decisions. I want AI to open possibilities and have safgeguards, and AI artists to get respect, and be protected, and valid in schools and commercial media. I want to even be able to pirate a movie and change the script or scenario and make it my own movie. Most AI art is absolute slop. Just scroll through tantabus. It's mangled anatomy and shitty details across the board. You failed because there's too much competition and you weren't good enough. Not because of AI. People seem to think it's easy to become a fan artist and grow a following. It's not. It never was. It's a shit job. You are entering a world that has probably a 99% failure rate. It's like making videos and thinking you are going to be a successful youtuber with just enough grind. Millions of people do that shit and only a handful ever "make it". Why do you think almost all the old guard from pony art are gone? They all had patreons. They were all making money. But even the best weren't really getting anywhere. At the end, only like, 10 or so people "made it" and most of them shifted to anthro ages ago. Even people spamming commissions and YCH. Think about the income from that for a second. It's absolute ASS. Sell a 60 dollar commission. You'd have to do 30 of those a month to hit the poverty line in the USA. Some of the most successful YCH where artists just do 90 of the same pose for $25. That's $2250, then cut 300 from platform fees. In the end its absolute garbage. That's hundreds of hours of soul crushing work. Factory assembly line level job for minimum wage. Not just in having to do the actual art, but also having to coordinate with obnoxious autists who freak the fuck out if one little thing is off and demand a fix. Then you can go sell merch at conventions. This one is the biggest joke of all. Drop 1000 on inventory, another 1000 on gas and hotel to get there. Even worse if you have to ship your inventory and fly there. Another chunk just for the table, and at the end of the convention you make barely above minimum wage back after expenses and time are taken into account. You did yourself a favor hanging up the tablet and closing your account. Do art because you want to. Not to make money. Go get a real job and make real money. Don't be jealous of people the few ai artists that make it. That's like being jealous of people like pewdiepie. They had that special spark in both topics they cover and charisma that made people flock to them. That's not something the vast majority of people have.
>>43544304>"I wanted to make art but AI got in the way">"Hey, did it ever occur to you that you just fucking suck? Get back in the kitchen wagie slavie."God I hate retards
>>43544315But AI didn't get in the way. Anon told a story about how they suck, and because they didn't find financial success sucking, they gave up, and then when they saw other people find financial success in a mostly unrelated field, they cried.
>>43520578>How do we handle the fact that AI artists grow faster than regular artists in the fandom these days?the more daunting prospect is how Ai art can be undetectable with a few trechniques like manually lowering the image resolution and image composting, if the Ai artist gives half a shit and just doesn't mention that he uses Ai he can get away with it forever.
>>43536591BECAUSE THE GREAT AND KEKOLDED TRIXIE! ˡᶦᵏᵉˢ ᵗᵒ ʷᵃᵗᶜʰ
>>43544315It's good advice. If you flopped it's because your art was shit. Not AI. Regular successful artists aren't losing to AI right now. It takes 2 seconds for someone scrolling social media to like a piece of work. This idea of being drowned out by AI is silly.
I just sold a (non-pony) AI-assisted commission to a friend who knows it is AI and loves it, I spent hours redrawing and inpainting it, then more hours after he asked for a revision. It was worth it and I'm happy how it turned out. I don't want to do this shit 20 times a month for random degenerates though.>>43543774>>43544315Sorry but if you have basic drawing skills and can't use them to fleece furries and bronies then you're retarded. There is a furry artist who makes images that look more like pictograms or vector art of furries and dogs fucking human women and he has over a thousand patreons. Get your game up, horny retards are always ready to throw money at someone. The real grind is being a social media rat so you can convert followers AND have ideas that appeal to people. AI users are at a big disadvantage here unless they don't disclose and are great at hiding it, so they certainly aren't getting "in the way".I mentioned horny retards but you don't even have to be that degenerate, look at normie weeb artists like centurii-chan who is not technically impressive in any way, yet still makes 6k a month from Patreon. The actual grind isn't making your art better, it's getting your social media numbers up. What use is it for your wallet to "improve your art" if nobody is there to see it and toss money at you? Make memes, follow trends, post and repost, network. Sounds tiring? Yeah that's what a job is.>B-but AI users...The faggots making money off AI are doing it two ways:- Making 2000 pieces of slop a day in different batches for braindead coomers to jack off to. These patreons are unlikely to ever support a traditional artist- Making comics, videos, edits, games, animations, etc. With AI assistance, in which case they are putting more effort than just AI prompting regardless of what people say. These patreons are following because they like the ideas the person has.The last type are 0.1% of AI users, and they are at a disadvantage if you do similar stuff because their pool of possible users is way smaller: Most paying clients dislike AI.
>>43543774post your art
>>43544315You want to make art that AI can't? Learn to fucking sculpt. Clay isn't expensive.
>>43544629I genuinely don't get how anyone likes those artists that drop 400 images at a time with a bunch of absolutely mangled AI art of one character in the same pose. Like I absolutely get the comic, video, etc, people. And I get Celunia too since her shit is well edited and hot as fuck. But this slop pack thing will always be a mystery to me.
>>43535263Lmao welcome to Blackpill hell. You better learn to deal with the modern world or you will be left behind.
>>43544629Sounds like you made less than $10/hour. Why bother at that point?
>>43545430you are already brainrotted, enjoy your trisomic generation.
>>43545084It is the kind of person who jacks off to a concept and doesn't look at each image for more than 5 seconds. There's a reason the most popular subject for those are shit like futa, femboys, and niggers.>>43546122That's precisely why I can't imagine myself doing that for a living. I figure people who do simply want to make money from home without dealing with the responsibility a normal job requires. I personally did that commission because I liked the subject matter and the guy is my friend, and I do like working on those images. But it made me realized that if I wanted to make money off AI without going insane I'd need to have a big patreon and make comics or games I like, which is much easier said than done.
The hypercommercialization of pony art is a poison to the fandom
So ai art exists and i've yet to see anyone make anything remotely consistent or as long as stuff tamers does by hand. Where are these full animated ai episodes and funny writing?
>>43546430Making comics or games you like would take effort, even without AI. Maybe especially without AI. If you want to make money, sell out. All the cool artists do anyway.Except haha you can't sell out anymore because AI does it for free just like jannies. Ain't war hell?
>>43547235Tamers traces ai for ponies
>>43547223That must have sounded real smart in your head.
>>43547237Total bs but even if it was true he's still putting out these hour long episodes on the regular. Where is anything that long ai?
>>43547251The length of the episode doesn't really matter if it isn't worth watchingI could post an hour long video of me taking a shit, too
>>43547259>I couldOh fucking really? Go ahead, do it. See the thing is even with all these ai tools available nobody here has any capacity to actually produce anything consistent or regular because ai doesn't solve that problem whatsoever.
>>43547262If you want me to post videos of me taking a shit, it isn't going to be regular. I'm almost 40.
>>43547223Capitalism is a cancer that contaminates everything we could love, art should not be a tool of capitalism or aimed for profit.Artists controlling the product and the fandom are the real thieves.A fair redistribution of art and allowing people to edit and manipulate images or media, with any digital pr traditional too will the the only way to keep art to be a passion for everyone.I want a convention about sharing and caring, not about sales or business for profit.

>>43549794Reading comprehension retard.>You don't own pixels on somepony else's screen.Did you miss the line where I mentioned parodies? If your art is enough for someone to put the effort into making a parody or derivative work of it, appreciate it.
>>43549807>Reading comprehension retard. Is this meant to read "I have no reading comprehension and am retarded"?>Did you miss the line where I mentioned parodies? No? But it has nothing to do with what I said.
>>43548092Exactly this. AI don't ask permission for redrawing or using art or assets, it's a robot. As a dev we don't care about copyright, in code everyone contributes and cooperate to a project, that's the spirit, there's no I.i want artists to think like devs and bring assets and art available for datasets and editing without any reward.Reward is brainrot. It forces you to produce blindlessly to get your clout.Moreso if you're here you're in a community, pony fandom is not marefuckadmirer or darkstalker88's property, legally it's hasbros but we break that down already.copyright laws allows original fanart to be ©'d, or protects original creations BUT not directly derivative works. To claim ownership the necessary modifications to avoid plagiarism are redrawing it from zero.I can just copy and paste code and modify it for my purpose.AI is forcing socialized media and this changes everything, legalize and normalize editing.Fuck the artists.
>>43549787How strange. Usually the AI apologists are a faction of chuds, not niggercommunists. I've never seen an argument in favour of AI based on communistic philosophy. More technological utopianists but these ones are especially funny for the irony. Lol. What a world.
>>43549772>artists can very well do somethingLike? Shit's evolving, it went from a joke to something that has normalfags using everywhere.
>>43549863>As a dev we don't care about copyright, in code everyone contributes and cooperate to a project, that's the spirit, there's no I.You never held a job commie fuck, don't larp as a software dev.Copyright is huge in software, even the free software movement is based on copyright law. The oldart fags are coping so hard in this thread.AI art is the future, and I accept and support it, because I don't live in the dark ages. Also, how dumb do you have to be to get mad about a new surge of free pony content, that gets exponentially better every day, when all these oldart fags are not producing, or put all their art behind paywalls?baka
>>43554557>new surge of free pony content, that gets exponentially better every dayThen why is the AI image thread just one guy posting ugly ass slop from google gemini?
>>43554557AI art has been decreasing in productivity for the past two years , AI uploads on Poner/Twib are even lower than 2022, there is however an increase of traditional media since the past four years.
>>43554945>>43554956The coping is so hard! lolAI art is flourishing, and will only continue to grow.It already looks great, and only improves in quality with each day. And you can have a dozen great art pieces in a few minutes, rather than waiting months for some oldart fag to make just one, when they feel like it.In a few years, it will probably be the standard in digital artworks. And you will all be left behind, crying in a dark corner, obsolete! XD
>>43554557>>43555004>XDI always wonder why bother with these falseflags. Well, you're right about it being cope. All hate of AI is downstream of jealously and outside of artists it's all performative. That's why the arguments keep changing, they are just throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks. I look forward to the claims the generation of a single AI image uses an entire city's worth of water and electricity in 2027.
>>43554945Because 4chan, especially /mlp/ has been dead since 2016 and especially now when there's no G5 airing. /mlp/ also ironically was the slowest board to adopt any AI despite /mlp/ having 15.AI general ... only /g/ did constant AI threads since that is their place... which is ironic cause AI can do art now ... you don't see it gain much popularity on /tv/, /co/, /mlp/, /vp/, /vr/, /v/, etc. 4chan's denizens are very primitive and paranoid, they think they need a programming degree and a GPU farm to work with AI... and relatively recently AI has gotten a very bad reputation and a witchhunt ... far worse than back in 2022 and 2023 ... because AI now has become insanely good and the only counterargument for it is that ... you will need a GPU farm to work locally... and that online models will no longer be just $20 a month minimum, but $2000 minimum.
>>43555448And?

>>43555978I do understand being upset that the results of a skill which makes you special because most people don't have the inclination to practice it (as well as making you a sacred cow with parasocial followers) are now accessible to people that didn't put the work in. It's a completely natural human reaction, we feel first and reason afterwards. However, some artists engage in rationalizing their hatred instead and use their platforms to spread it. It's the intellectual equivalent of shitting AI slop, and the reason why so many people repeat the same non-arguments or downright false claims over and over.

>>43570865I think the terrain has shifted, and the consequences are no longer theoretical. We had such similar conversations in the AI art thread, on /g/ and on AI art circles both with artists and AI artists. What began as an ambitious attempt by an AI artist to plant a socialist narrative inside the pony fandom and ride it to visibility has met the wall that many who never learned the craft always fail to see. The belief that one could simply arrive, generate volume, declare a political framework compatible with seizing the means of production, and harvest popularity ignored a fundamental truth: art in this space is not a delivery system for ideology. It is the residue of sustained labor, of criticism absorbed over years, of skills earned under pressure that no prompt and no hardware purchase can shortcut. Art, is intrinsically capitalistic being the expression of the invdividiual alone and this is the hard truth. An anon put the case into a manifesto or threw it all in that post. It was ignored. That silence was not an oversight; it was the fandom’s quiet verdict. People who have spent years refining a line, absorbing rejection, criticism, comparing to others and still returning to the page do not surrender their standards because someone new has invested in GPU, RAM, time, energy and decided the community must now accept a different ethic. The nature of those who work hard and live with criticism does not change to accommodate those who begin later, spend heavily on infrastructure, and expect the same respect without having walked the same path.We have projects like 15.ai, PDV6, PPP, Zoinksnoob and more demonstrated that technical capacity can be built. Communities can form around the tools. Yet those communities have repeatedly proven fragile when comes the legitimacy of art and using others art against their consent, yes I agree that's theft, and artists aren't generous, it's okay... They rise quickly on novelty and collapse when the underlying demand for craft remains unmet. The fear that people unprepared for this reality would stake everything. time, money, identity and then confront the fandom’s visceral rejection was not paranoia. It was pattern recognition. Last night’s developments only confirmed how sharp the edge has become. No identifying details will be added here. Respect for the individual still matters even when the strategy failed. The current situation is one I dislike intensely. Mutual respect remains the stated goal, yet the ground itself has grown more hazardous. Traditional artists protect legitimate interests forged through scarcity and skill. Some fans have long desired even a fraction of that skill and, for the most part, could not produce it themselves. When a technology arrives that appears to close the gap overnight, the collision is inevitable and costly when it fails to fulfill that promise. Just like someone mentioned earlier, altering existing art using digital tools don't make you the artist.
I think that's not a minor cultural friction. It is a demonstration that certain thresholds cannot be skipped and I've seen warnings in social media for a while. The cost of discovering that truth after the investment has already been made is real, and it is painful. The discussion is not about whether the tools exist. It is about whether those who adopt them understand what the work of an artist has always required, and what happens when that understanding is absent.Perhaps AI art would be more readily accepted if the original artists were consenting, properly credited, and meaningfully involved in the creation process. I raised this years ago. It was met with solid rejection.Only a small minority of artists have ever agreed to have their work used for training or freely shared into the datasets that power these systems. The rest never consented. I agree this is unfair. Consent should have been the baseline for a proper validation because the quality of the output is not questionable anymore. Yet this is the reality that took shape: vast amounts of human labor were absorbed without permission, and the resulting models were released into communities that had never asked for them. That structural fact is what produced the deep lack of comprehension on both sides including my own. In 2022 I hoped first it would make artists proud to collaborate into a common project, I was dumb and delusional myself. Many artists still struggle to grasp how someone can look at years of unpaid study, criticism, failed pieces, and incremental improvement and decide that a prompt and a GPU constitute an equivalent claim to the same respect. The reverse is also true: many who built or relied on the tools never fully registered why the absence of consent and credit would harden an entire community against them. Anon. This should never have been the price. The silence that met your manifesto was not personal malice; it was the accumulated weight of a culture that measures worth by endurance and craft. That weight should not have crushed anyone. The investment of time, hardware, belief, and identity was real. The hope that a narrative; socialist or ironically, humanist could override the deeper grammar of the fandom was misplaced, but the human cost of that miscalculation is not something any of us should treat lightly. No further details will be given. Respect still requires that much. What remains is the colder truth: the terrain is more dangerous than most admitted. Artists protect what they built through scarcity. Fans have long wanted to exist, even a fraction of that skill and largely could not produce it. Some will walk away and move on to what they can do. Some will be fro clout and validation. Some will simply stop. None of those outcomes should include the final silence that already occurred. It should not happen again.
>>43570868Resident schizo(s) invented new bullshit story.
>>43571162More like generated one, probably.
>>43571201Why would they do that? Some anon just losing his shit isn't new, it happened a few times, I hate this happened but these people had underlying mental instabilities, just like we're not responsible for the 42%. Read again >>43528914
>>43571208I'm not reading your schizo nonsense
it's over
>>43571214At this point yes it really is, not just the thread.God damn it.
AI art gets a lot of hate, but at the same time what I bothered uploading to Twibooru gathered a lot of updoots compared to anything but big name artists. That, combined with what I've gathered from talking to people, leads me to believe that only a small, very pious group actually hates it. Large majority of people are OK with it if it's actually good and has thought and effort put into it.
>>43532369>hope to improive and become someone >. I wanted recognition and just a compliment but I destroyed myself>you're all fucking insane and fans are shit who dont deserve our energy or talent. You don't understand that for some of us that's all we have in life and stomp on it, them look you got blood on your hands,Reading this nonsense hits different now
>>43532831Absolute subhuman garbage claims they're more human because not using computer and jokes about a teenager'ks suicide.
>>43571447It's obviously a vocal minority. Most people don't care. Multiple ai artists in the fandom have huge followings now.
It's funny how all these digital artists cry that AI bad, when they, themselves rely on a computer to make their art.Hypocrisy at its finest, am I right?
>>43571447>piousWrong word. A better term is dogmatic. No anti-AI person is seeing heaven.
What do artists think of people who use AI and literally can't draw because they have a severe disability? Or those who live in a country where $30 for a commission is enough to buy a month's worth of food?
>>43574229>What do artists think of people who use AIAnon, despite what the NGMI crabs here may want you to believe not every single artist hates AI and those who use it. Anyway, any anti-ai person (artist or not) thinks those people are subhuman.
