>be me>mexican who became a brony 4 months ago>got in the fandom through /mlp/ and FB>/mlp/ has mainly anglosaxon speaking people, but there are some latinos too>do a latino thread>gets deleted because yolo>FB groups are mostly inactiveMan, i hope i was a brony in the 2010s, it would have been great to see the fandom at its speak, specially the latino fandom.Latino bronies of /mlp/, we should have our own online space, since we are very different to the anglosaxon fandom.
>>43520971>since we are very different to the anglosaxon fandom. How different exactly?
>>43520971Speak the king's, you bloody mongrel
>>43520971>>mexican who became a brony 4 months agogo back
>>43520978its very different because the whole series is different. The latino mlp series and the english mlp series are 2 completely separate things, and that's why their fandoms are also different. We also got a different fandom's history for example. The USA brony fandom started to get bullying when it appeared, meanwhile we got through our dark ages of bullying by normies in the 2017-2019 because of the "Chico pony" polemic.
>>43520971based
>>43520995interesting, is the spanish dub good or do spanish speaking bronies prefer sub?
>>43520971Create your own FB group. Call it funny. Something like "Equestria nos baneó: ponyposting" and wait
>>43520978they fuck jennies, not mares, but they usually do it for real and don't just larp about it.there are no other significant differences
>>43521025I watched it dub.It has a whole different feeling.I think most latino bronies also watched it dub, the latino voice actresses are very known in the fandom. We also got our own latino dub memes like the "Ay aja" or "Que putas madres me dijiste?"
>>43520979THIS
>>43520971>on FBsad that it is pretty much the only decent place to talk about ponies. youtube has very few channels remaining and twitter is full of retards
>>43520971>>do a latino thread>>gets deleted because yoloKEK. I just want you to know that Latino Spanish is the only language that was delibaretely banned on here years ago, newkun. That should tell you something.
Fake Latinos on the internet!I'm kidding, geez
>>43520971We speak American on this board "èse".
I think we'd be better off all being british.
>>43520971>do a latino thread>gets deleted because yoloSpeak (and learn) english or die.>>43520978No big ass projects but really full of memes and shitposting.>>43521025I think the dub is good/decent, and I know a good chunk of spic horsefuckers watched the dubbed version first and get used to it for practical reasons.
>>43520971Spanish used to be abused for criminal sruff so much a two decades ago.
>>43521149Go to a dentist zigga
>>43521198I want to see them dancing
>>43520995>Chico pony" polemic.What is this?
>>43520971>i hope i was a brony in the 2010s, it would have been great to see the fandom at its speakI've been in some of those FB groups at the time (late 2013 to early 2015), they weren't that good back then either. They were mostly filled with cringe little girls posting poorly made OCs and retarded memes (and not of the good kind), but there were some nice people sharing neat translations of classic pony videos and webcomics, which introduce to stuff like princess Molestia and the definition of clopping.I remember a guy making this trivia games, where I learned about MicTheMicrophone leaving the fandom and Flash Sentry being the most hated character from EQG. I do wonder what happened to him, he seemed cool.
>>43521149oi oi you got a loicense, yeah?
>>43521025Personally, subbed.Ponies were one of the first things that got me into learning english by myself. Latin american schools are awful at teaching the language unless you supplement what they teach you with content in your spare time, such as movies and videogames.Inspector Geek (a "hispanic equivalent" to Extra Credits with some Nostalgia Critic vibes) was also one of the reasons I was more interested in watching it subbed on the internet than dubbed on television, because he said the dub wasn't very good and that's one of the few opinions that I still agree with him, besides him saying Equestria Girls wasn't a good movie. And the third reason is that I was starting to lose interest on television before the fourth season got here and I was tired of waiting for Discovery Kids to play the one cartoon there that I'm interested in when I could just watch it online.
Certainly true. I also joined recently but seriously, I havent found another brony that is latino. At this point its better to try to be white, since whites have historically been more impactful to the brony community than us. Or create our own subspace.
>>43520971i've always found the latam fandom fascinating, there's a lot of good fanfiction coming out of there but the music scene is definitely lacking. would love to hear more pony bangers in spanish.
There are probably many other people that are latino in this fandom. But they just dont talk about it, which is good. Its better to not try to create a race war online. Its better to assimilate and apeak english, unless theres a specific niche subspace where they dont. Its as easy as that.

>>43521480thankfully with how good google translate is nowadays, people who speak different languages can pretty easily interact with each other online, which is pretty cool
>>43521534>people who speak different languages can pretty easily interact with each other onlineTragic
>>43521478>there's a lot of good fanfiction coming out of thereLinks?
>>43521476>whites have historically been more impactful to the brony community than usNot to mention better content creators overall, whether in terms of media analysis or creative projects. The blackpill you end up swallowing once you start watching english-speaking content creators is how most hispanic youtubers are either as retarded as the worst of what the English-speaking side of the internet has to offer or boring rip-offs of good users who don't add anything of their own. That doesn't mean there aren't great ones out there, but if the ratio of great to shit in the anglosaxon sphere is 1 to 100, then in the hispanic sphere is 1 to 1000.
>>43521432A video about a mexican ponyfag being harassed by some random guy saying "MLP sucks, Dragon Ball is better".Funnily enough the boy did a good job defending himself against the Gokufag. The footage went viral and the pony boy got bullied and mocked online. Nowadays he's already a beloved character in the Latin American internet.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5zNOttbEo0
>>43521534>people who speak different languages can pretty easily interact with each other online, which is pretty coolI don't want a bunch of brownoids being incentivized to be ignorant of other people's languages. Linguistic barriers are a useful filter to keep ill-mannered third-worlders away from decent communities and to force them to integrate. This applies the other way around too, I hate watching a hispanic streamer switching to Bri'ish Mode just because their gringo friend appeared out of nowhere.

My impression was that ponies are fairly popular in Mexico, but there isn't any coordination between fans there. But tiny art fairs apparently happen once in a while, at least.I'll be moving there because reasons, so I do hope to find other fans in the area. (And that those fans are decent people.) The Latino dub is fine afaik, Latino Discord is a bit different but charming in his own "I'm so done with these little ponies" way. Applejack and Spike are great, I think. I need to watch it more to practice Spanish, and to absorb what would make for genuine Latino memes rather than just translating memes into Spanish. However, I gotta postpone this sort of endeavor to next year because of more urgent IRL crap.
>>43521869I'm sure I saw some recent meetups in Mexico. Don't expect anything big as your average american con tho.
>>43522291>average AmericanI'm European but I get the idea. I don't think a con just like the US or Euro ones would work in Mexico, but if there are events, I'll find them and try to help them be a success, even if only by cosplaying Discord and bringing some whimsy, if not some merch or by helping design flyers etc.
>>43520971What are you on about, latino fandom is one of the most alive out there. There's a EqD-like newssite, chat, many mlp youtubers, the list goes on.
>>43521869>>43522528>MexicoWhy not move to a less extreme latam country?
>>43520971g5 dying did a number on the spic fandom, for a while they tried to move on to the comics claiming they are amazing and better than the show but when actual videos summarizing them appeared they dropped that too
Will spics ever realize that EqG is terrible?
>>43521869the latino dub is really solid imo, one of the best ones out there. all the character voices feel natural even when they aren't one to one with the originals, but they got some really solid impersonators for most of the mane six. applejack is the only one who's noticeably different and that's because she's representing a different farmer stereotype
>>43520978Ignore the taconigger. There are no significant differences besides the memes.
>>43523083What’s wrong with EqG?
>>43520971It's alive but you're not going to find too much people here and on FB (FB in 2026? are you a boomer or something?)Sadly, you have to go to Twitter or DiscordThere's a lot of discord communities, Pony Latino is the one with most mexicans, I think>>43521869>>43522291not a mexinigger, but Ponyfest is a thing and it looks pretty cool
>>43523494Nah, the EqG autism/cult is bigger in South America.
>>43523669Mexicans don’t play about EQG do they? What was it exactly that buck-broke them so hard?
>>43521869I always saw the Latina Pinkie Pie thing that took off as kind of just being done for sexual interest in that version of the character, but now I'm going to treat her as if she's specifically the one from the Latino dub, kek
>>43523038>There's a EqD-like newssiteThis? http://www.ponylatino.com/
>>43520971Hey OP, self-hating Mexican spic here. A few months ago I did some voice-over performance acting out a scene between me and my cutesy-wootsy bacon wife Sunny Shimmie, in case you want to give it a listen.https://voca.ro/1b4tzQDvgfUW
>>43524113Why would you hate being Mexican brother? Be proud of your people. No people are perfect, all those other races have their own problems too.
>>43524113>>43524245This being said this is fucking hilarious
>>43523691AFAIK, talking about Mexico the EqG movies were broadcasted massively through terrestrial television. No idea about the other countries.

>>43523669>EqG autism/cult is bigger in South America. That's why they're getting deported from the U.S.

>>43520971Why would you even try to make a thread in Spanish in an English speaking site where the jannies need to check and be sure you are not planning a mass shooting>Makes a thread in English To then prove you are able to speak in English. Mátate.>>43521031>nos baneo>funnyPick one

>>43523739you're really gonna diss our bae Latina Pinkie Pie like that
>>43523669Actually yeah you are right on that. Latinos love EQG.>>43521869The voice acting for the dub was fantastic except for Applejack and that wasn't even the VA's fault, it's just that there is no "southern" accent in Spanish so she just sounds odd. Fluttershy I guess stands out as well. She doesn't sound as "soft". The rest of the mane six are equal in quality to their English counterparts. Discord was pretty good as well. But Celestia was a downgrade, she sounds much younger.
>>43528479Celestia sounds amazing, what are you talking about?
Nightmare Moon's ugly old hag voice in episode 1 is fucking terrible, did they ever replace it?
>>43526376If that's how spics think about white women, you should reconsider moving there.
>>43520978They call mares "yeguas"
>>43524245Almost all of the important advances in medicine, chemistry, and science have been by wypipo.Haber Bosch is responsible for keeping up to 50%+ of earth’s current population alive and fed just through one of the chemical processes he’s developed and let other people refine (the Haber-Bosch ammonia process) Joseph Midgely Jr is responsible for leaded gasoline and CFC refrigerants. These are two examples, spics are a slave class, it’s that simple. Outside of one derivative rifle they’ve tooled and made, I can’t think of anything the Mexicans have made that isn’t derivative of other work.
>>43528523>Haber
>>43528526I’m retarded and his names actually Fritz Haber, but my point still stands.>“The German chemists Fritz Haber and Carl Bosch developed the process in the first decade of the 20th century, and its improved efficiency over existing methods such as the Birkeland–Eyde and Frank–Caro processes was a major advancement in the industrial production of ammonia.”
