For an actual race, each racer gets only 3 attempts to get best time they can, similar to showjumping, but unlike showjumping missing a checkpoint disallows you to finish a race.

Participants have to use open pony avatars and be ponies(pegas, bats, alicorns, magic granted wings are allowed for ponies but not recommended), other flying animals, creatures, entities are forbidden from participating.

Race course is up and you can take a part in training for the race, while some changes might occur before the actual race, flight course is likely to stay mostly the same.

The GUAG event was not like this. Anypony could join as long as you wore the jump-reducer cookie and followed the rules fairly, and you didn't have to pay anything, and there was actually an incentive to do it for a reward.

I have no idea what the purpose of this event is supposed to be for. Is it really just fun? Or is it bragging rights? I have no idea. I'm all down for a good amount of fun, but this just feels like a bit of the wrong way to initiate things.

Because I enjoy what earth ponies embody: strength, persistence, resilience, stubbornness, determination, ingenuity, the perceived underdog, heart, etc. I like playing as one because aside from being LITERALLY ME, I think playing as one offers the most opportunities to live up to that race’s expectations. Meanwhile being a bat or pegasus would be okay, and a unicorn would bore me. I enjoy trying to find the best route to hop onto rooftops. If I want to move camarea around, I like having to punt and nudge her around, being careful not launch her into a bad spot. I like those challenges. Anything just short of that bores me. I honestly can’t imagine enjoying this game myself if I thought the best way to move camarea around was making a prim and shoving her into place. Finally, I think being erf just works well for my pony’s talents.
