I think doing something or tying ponies in with a hobby thats reciprocal is the best way to love something long-term from my experience, because youll do things that motivate you to do more things because it stays on your mind. all of that requires something to start with though, and if youre too hard on yourself it can be hard to keep it going, but if you can just do a little of something regularly i think that can be a really nice way to feel out the love you have for ponies. feelings dim and brighten and come and go, and motivation is mostly a matter of momentum, and it can be something fun and self-sufficient if you build it up in the right way. hope you're able to figure something out, anon, don't feel you have to force yourself into anything.
