hey Skyline if you're reading the thread, feature request: would it be possible to automatically expose outfit folders and subfolders to RLV (subject to user settings of course) and add a UI to manage others' outfits (subject to permission settings)?there's like a half dozen RLV outfit managers out on the market and they all suck balls and the LSL UIs are garbage, and also right now you end up with viewer outfits and RLV outfits going out of sync if you're not careful. if the viewer can just expose the normal outfit folders to RLV and let you use the native UI for browsing those, that'd solve so much awkwardness

It's an art as much as it is a science, like cooking with a recipe (even if it's your own recipe). You'll figure out what works and what doesn't with experience.

You can make them compatible but ideally there'd also be open-source HUD replacements.There may or may not be some scripts for interfacing with the AO, or maybe the AO is self-contained.There's scripts for some features like the reactive gestures. I don't know if anybody knows a comprehensive list of things other than said reactive gestures.The uncertainty is the main bottleneck, I think. Nuzzy's shitcode is what everyone knows, and a replacement would need to claim "yes, it's just as good as the stock code" without anyone having a solid 100% understanding of everything the stock code does. So reverse-engineering that, or maybe corporate-espionaging it, would be the most difficult part of the work.

Just reverse engineering how all the animations work together might be a bit tedious. There's also lower-priority "cog" animations that must be played before or during the higher priority animations in order for them to function correctly, too.The OP Customization HUD is the most complex and would be the hardest to replicate entirely, but that's not a huge deal since it's optional for the pony to work right.The alpha HUD is just a regular alpha HUD. Any coding chuds can basically figure it out. It's basically just click here and set alpha to a face. Nothing that complicated. Just takes time to write one.Lastly the "my blood" script that is inside the pony likely just handles things like: Chat message signals, expressions AO, alpha HUD and OP Customizer applier commands, turning on/off reactive gestures upon startup, like the sneeze animation/sounds, and probably also a few other very small things. Honestly you could take out this script and the pony should still work (haven't tried it yet).

When you play an animation from an LSL script, you play that animation on your avatar.It's not going to play an animation on another object. That's mostly what animesh is for anyway.
