Ironically I feel like rarity would pick the worst outfits for me if I didn't first have a long fashion discussion about suits with her. As a fluttershy hater, I'd still let her pick outfits for me but I'd make it a point to act more evil whenever I wear them and gaslight her into thinking it's caused by the outfits themselves.
