When Twilight visited the human world, she became interested in video games. She realized that taking a newer console home was impractical since Equestria has no internet connection to the human world. So she decided to get a Wii U, and modded it and loaded ROMs of a bunch of Gamecube, Wii, and Wii U games that can be played offline. She takes it through the portal back to Equestria. So her and the rest of the mane 6 start having game nights where they play Mario Kart, Mario Party, Mario 3D World, Smash Bros, Nintendo Land, Wii Party U, Minecraft, and other multiplayer games. How fun! What games do you think is each pony's favorite? And any other game systems you'd recommend for Twilight to take through the portal?

So whilst there may be TV like things in Equestria in-universe they are very different to anything we are familiar with.
