I thought G4 looked like cheap garbage when I first saw it. I grew up with the older generations, so it took a while for the G4 designs to grow on me. That didn't start to happen until I tried watching the show, and I realized that the style worked well within that context. I still think Hasbro's official toys look like shit though. The last real MLP episode I watched was Leap of Faith. I was really indifferent to the whole episode, said I would keep up with the season, and never did. Only came back to MLP for the Fics, lewd content, and fan art. I never saw the 2017 movie, but I've heard the soundtrack. Never watched the Finale besides "Where the Magic Happens". Never gave G5 a chance because the trailer for the Netflix movie looked bad.
