>>43683335I agree, those first two are some of my favorite episodes in the whole show, but Bloom and Gloom is mid, the pacing feels off (the first dream goes on way too long) and it's missing the sister bonding element that the others have.
>>43683335Nah, Bloom and Gloom is really good, although its pacing being its most divise aspect. I don't mind, it's kinda like Groundhog Day. This trio all have their unique weaknesses, and your mileage will vary depending on what you value in the show.>Sleepless In Ponyville is disliked by some for the frequent humanoid animation which would become the norm in later seasons>For Whom The Sweetie Belle Toils is disliked by some for being too mean-spirited and for arguably having Sweetie Belle act out of character>Bloom and Gloom is disliked by some for it's janky start-and-stop pacingI love all of these episodes, btw, but I do consider them roughly equal. One can argue that Do Princesses Dream Of Magic Sheep has worse pacing than Bloom And Gloom. I like the nightmare stuff for the imagery alone, but Luna jumping from dream to dream kinda grinds the pacing to a halt, just so we can see dress monsters, apple monsters and book monsters, it's all variations on the same thing. It's fun, but a little tedious. The emotional payoff in this episode is amazing though, and it really passes the vibe check.
