Brainstorm some episode ideas for the first season of Josh Haber's upcoming spinoff series: Starlight Glimmer & Friends

Whenever Starlight Glimmer - the protagonist, booper, the LEGEND, the vanquisher of tiny men - is absent in any scene, at least one other character must ask, "Hey. Where is Starlight Glimmer?"

If this were real, Sunset would be in it completely unironically. Haber would have nothing stopping him like he did in Season 9.

All Bottled Up is probably the perfect template for what a Starlight reboot could have been. The M6 are veterans/friendship experts who [mostly] no longer suffer from friendship problems and can act as occasional mentors but are mostly relegated to B-plots (if any). Meanwhile, the main focus is on Glimmer and co who are newbies to friendship and the show revolves around them learning and interacting with each other. Basically S1-3 with a new cast.

This way, you avoid rehashing friendship problem plots for the M6 (like Non-complete Clause), which makes it seem like they never learn or grow from their experiences.

Also, Starlight seems like she wouldn't be one to put up with Discord's shit nearly as much as Twilight did. For that reason alone, she deserves a chance at the spotlight.

Trixie breaks a ceiling panel trying out a new trick, so Starlight has to go to Home Depot with her to pick up a replacement. They bicker a lot when Starlight implies that Trixie is not enough of a handymare to handle the repairs.

But I'll give you a serious answer anyway. Starlight and Trixie tour Equestria together in their merry magical show caravan helping others everywhere they go and meeting new friends along the way. A comfy lighthearted yet melodramatic Dragon Quest-esque adventure is how I'd envision it, perhaps with a major villain at the very end loosely connected to the problems happening all over Equestria.

Yea the m6 taking a step back to be the adults in the room would've been great.

well you can guess that one

What's our continuity? S9 took Glimmer too far into interpersonal competence and she'd run into a lot of the problems with writing that the middle-seasons M6 had. >>43682693 is the preferable format and setup.

If it has to be post-FiM, I'd have it be foreign ponies that are separated from Twilight's kingdom by some bullshit premise from the pilot episode, so it's at least definitely a different continent if not timeframe or dimension. Glimmer can still go back to FiM Equestria, but stuff there features in only a minor way and for the most part it's just Glimmer asking for advice. Her titular friends would be on the Glim side of the portal, and maybe she can't bring them back so just running back to the Princesses is not viable at all or something.
Episodes would be mostly about Glimmer & Co trying to teach the very basics of friendship to the natives, without the ability to appeal to authority to fall back on while all being held back by the fact that they're autistic retards themselves. The most important season finale's would be two parters dealing with members of the LoD, who were also sent through the plot device and have established themselves as regional leaders of their own kingdoms and recruiting them as recurring secondary protagonists (but not main group members) for the rest of the series.

Even if it came at the expense of "My favorite pony is getting less screentime reeeeeee". Maybe they were afraid of backlash from the fandom over glimmer replacing twilight and instead gave us our wish. Except the wish came from a monkey paw.
>"Hooray! More of my favorite ponies in every episode!"
>"Oh...trivial pursuit, haha I love seeing my favorite ponies as the main characters of every plot."
