Maiden is one of my favorite bands as well, and they're great for beginner guitarists. The rhythm parts are extremely easy and a lot of their solos are beginner friendly. I always find Dave Murray's solos to be a little easier and more fun, so give them a shot. The solos for 2 minutes, strange world, and flight of icarus are pretty good starting points. As much as I love early Teles and even being a little more of a Tele guy than a Strat guy it’d be hard to not pick the Strat, early-mid 60s Strats are some of my absolute favorite guitars. What series are they? Older AVRI, AV I from a decade ago, current AV II? This would be a really big deciding factor for me. The original American Vintage line from like 2013 to like 2017 are some of the absolute best general production guitars Fender has ever made, and if any are from this AV I series that’d be the one I’d pick. Older AVRIs are also great and I’d be stoked with one of those too. Current AV IIs are great too but I wouldn’t place them in the same camp as their predecessor AV Is or AVRIs.
