I mean yeah they usually massrate 4-5 stars on trans shit for idpol reasons and that takes up half of yearly charts at this point, the latinxfags do the same shit with random bands that rip off shit anglo indie bands did 20 years ago because they have an inferiority complex. the mainpage culture is cooked and is pretty useless outside of being a portrait of the taste of a generic bluesky user. on rym the best way to find cool shit is find users that rate obscure stuff that you like and check their other ratings, if you can find a few users you really like you'll be able to go from there and repeat or you can use last.fm similar artists section for ones you already like. the film section of rym is also surprisingly pretty good and is a sort of hidden gem for now, outside of the ui it's better than letterboxd imo.
