This album is 10/10, except for George's fucking retarded sitar curryslop right in the middle. It's literally as if he squatted down and took a fat jeet shit right in the middle of the tracklist. No fucking wonder why the other beatles didn't let him put his garbage on the albums.
only good song on that piece of shit is with a little help from my friends
Within you is really good. The only thing holding this album back is macca. Half is his tracks are boring as all hell. Revolver is WAY better, his tracks are listenable
>>130378975that's mid>>130378952most of this album is mid to shiteven stuff that's supposed to be standout like Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds reveals its limitations as you relisten, mature, and spend time away from it
>>130378952It should have been left as an instrumental. Adding vocal lines over it made it sound sloppy and I think George probably struggled with finding a melody to work with the arrangement..https://youtu.be/5NfaMyWPysQ?si=KDKkJkvGWjT3NMtx
>>130378952George was out of control during his poo larping days
>>130378952>>130378975>>130379015Agreed. Do you think they'll release this anytime soon, fellow faggots?
>>130378952Masterpiece of music. Anyone who disagrees is gay
>>130379677Go listen to rap 1 brain cell
>>130378952i only like lucy in the sky with diamonds and when im sixty four and the intro and outro tracks but ill listen to it again
>>130381652When I'm Sixty-Four should be listened to only by children under the age of 12, and Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds under the age of 16. They are good but childishly good.
one of the best songs on the album and the bside The Inner Light is better than the aside Lady Madonna
>>130381652>>130381717>>130381913Strangely enough, ya'll folkx are right on all counts. My partner (we're gay) had this exact same discussion about the Beatles the other day.
>>130381929>5 years
>>130381929Go outside
>>130378952Honestly might be their worst album after Let It Be and With the Beatles
>>130378952George's sitar song is the best one Unironically
>>130378952I revisited this album 4 times as of recent to try and still don't get the appeal. The songs I like enough on it are A Little Help from my Friends, Lovely Rita, Fixing a Hole, and a Day in the Life. The rest of the songs are boring or alright and I've come to conclude that most of the Beatles legacy comes from the innovation in the production quality and techniques and whatnot. Stuff like A Day in the Life were unheard of, and again you could make songs like Lucy in the Sky which downright suck but you never heard it the way it sounded on the album before this era so it blew boomer's minds.
>>130387285The problem I have with a lot of Beatles albums in general is you’ll have a few iconic songs that are simultaneously creative and catchy and then it’s a whole lot of nothing. It’s hard not to feel excited hearing the opening for Sgt Pepper followed by A Little Help From My Friends, but the rest of the album RARELY lives up to the hype set up by the first two tracks. The only Beatles album I think is (mostly) good throughout the entire runtime is Rubber Soul.
>>130387800This is exactly how I feel, but hey even Vivaldi had a ton of boring filler songs in spite of the output that was amazing. I do think that the songs I listed are genuinely great or at least enjoyable to listen to. They're just a fine band who was popular in a crucial time for better production technology etc
