that's really the muse album you pick?
>>
>>130379241
Coldplay, Korn, and Kings of Leon aren't RYMcore.
>>
Since it seems like you were just born and you're barely getting into music, check out The Mars Volta. Go through the discography chronologically.
>>
>>130380189
as true as that may be, unless you're completely disingenuous, you'll note that the rest of the shit on that chart is stereotypical pushed ry/mu/-core
>>
>>130379120
DESU just start with the classics, I used to get sour at charts where it's all the same albums but I realise they're there since 90% of the time they are good albums lol

since you like Yes listen to all of King Crimson, Hemispheres and the albums around that era by Rush, and maybe if you're feeling daring some of the more Proggier frank zappa albums like One Size Fits All
get stuck into the big 4 of thrash metal if you like Ride The Lightning (Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Metallica)
Listen to Origin of Symmetry, Blackholes and Revelations and Absolution by Muse they're generally considered to be much better than The Uprising

and stop listening to rap music

Thanks, yeah anything on my pic I'd give above a 7/10. I give each song a rating out of 10 and average for the album.

Muse - Absolution - 6.7

>rap
it's one hip hop album.
Hell, it's honestly an insane creative fusion of every genre. This piano and violin intro puts most compositions to shame:

have you ever listened to Dead Can Dance?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGDxnRMNJTQ&list=RDxGDxnRMNJTQ&start_radio=1
Found them on RYM after seeing a subgenere called "Neoclassical Darkwave" and thought it sounded kind of cool.
They also incorporate elements of world music into their songs (most notability in Spiritchaser).

Other than the video, I also recommend:
The Carnival is Over (tied with Persephone as my favorite)
The Host of Seraphim (also played at the end of The Mist movie, in case you want to be reminded of that ending).
Song of the Stars

Seiko Oomori, especially her earlier albums. She has a lot interesting projects though. Really doesn't have a bad album in her discography.
>>
did you start listening to music 4 weeks ago, what is this surface level stuff
>>
>>
>>130379363
The Resistance is peak though. They took what made early Muse good and added strings and orchestra which made it even better.

Wrong, this is on-topic because it’s music related. I could necrobump this thread with pictures of Kanye’s feet for a month and it would be fine because it’s music related.
