boy did Rolling Stone Mag hate these guys when they first started for the simple crime of making the actually fun music their pet Bruce Springsteen couldn't
>>

>rock n roll
>crass
That was the point faggot. Rock n roll was supposed to be energetic music for young people, not boring music for bed wetters.
>>
Bon Scott era was peak

it peaked with metallica - reload

>>130380845
you can have energetic music for young people without brainless writing and simplistic instrumentation

They already forgot that in the 70s when reviewers were upboating Jackson Browne.

Vampire Weekend is literally one of the few breaths of fresh air from rock acts of that era. You literally do not understand just how fucking awful everything else was. Look at this shit from Pitchfork 2012:

I'm sorry actual rock music scares you anon.

I'm the person that made that post. I listen to a lot of different bands from a lot of different decades. There's nothing wrong with simplistic testosterone-driven rock. I don't care about the lyrics in that setting. Goobers that overanalyze music while not being able to create music themselves are the worst part of this board and of music fans in general.

Powerage is AC/DC at their best
>>
>>130386012
I'm inclined to agree. It's the best sounding album of the Bon era, and Riff Raff is one of their best songs, probably my favorite AC/DC song ever desu
>>
>>130380693
Reading some of those 70s rock critics it's amazing how fast they turned into their parents in 1957.

>derf this is just stupid noise for kids where's the real lyrics, artistry, etc for adults?
>>
>>130387190
They were too busy trying to manufacture acceptable "working class" rock stars like that faggot Springsteen, when actual working class kids were listening to AC/DC, Sabbath, Zeppelin, Kiss, etc.
>>
it’s kind of weird they kept wearing the school uniform

This was the third album I ever bought and was my favorite when I was 12 Bon Scott kicked ass and they really weren’t the same without him
