welp I finally got the email, I saw people on leddit posting about it but didn't know it was actually real, it was fun while it lasted though
>>
>>130396680
I got a similar email from Soulseek after I sent some mp3s to friends
>>
>>130396680
were you using some ripping program or what?
>>
>>130396779
nah just using a cracked Spotify premium, since January they've made account security tight as fuck, at the moment there's a few lsposed root modules you can use which work but Spotify could just block them the very next day until someone creates another one, or just ban my account like they did just now
>>
>>130396807
Imagine not being able to afford a 10 bux per month sub lul
>>
>>130396859
imagine actually paying for streaming lul
>>
>>130396871
I don't think i'd buy, but my family is quite normie when it comes to media dont know soulseek or pirating so they got this big spotify family plan and im hooked onto that
>>
>>130396871
You poor lul
>>
Imagine not owning physical copies of your favorite albums. Couldn't be me. KWAB.
>>
>>130396680
Soulseek still has never sent me an email telling me I'm not allowed to listen to music anymore
>>
>>130396807
>why did I get banned for using cracked Spotify premium
what a fuckin mystery
>>
>>130399409
I knew it was coming eventually haha, I'm already back at it with an alt email, lost all my playlists on my main though until I send a grovelling email promising to never ever do it again lel
>>
ohhhhhh my days sir do the needful and pay
pls pay
>>

i was using cracked spotify premium fine for some time, until suddenly some time around the middle of last year all the apks kept rapidly getting patched and made unusable. every time a new fixed version came out (which would take anywhere from 2-3 weeks), spotify would have it patched in like 2-3 days. eventually i just gave up and started listening to music on my phone using youtube or just by downloading the albums, although on my computer i still just use spotify in browser + an adblocker and it works fine.

>paying a monthly subscription fee to rent access to lossy mp3 files that can disappear at any time due to licensing

Using Spotify free for the purpose of sampling new music is handy, but anybody who gives even the slightest shit about music is also managing their own library of digital and/or physical albums. Relying completely on Spotify for all your music is the most Jewish thing ever.

If you want to keep up with the latest premium patches lurk the mobilism threads, warning your account may get banned like mine did
>>
I haven’t received such an email and ive been using a spoof account for years
>>
>>130399596
I've used both Apple and collected vinyl for years. That process has worked out for me pretty well.
If something's not on streaming I can usually buy it for pretty cheap on discogs. It's pretty fun honestly.

your experience must therefore be representative of the norm, I mean after all, they only have like 2 billion customers
personal anecdotal exceptions are always so informative, thanks for posting

>be super into music, love listening to it
>art transcends the mundane and is an endless source of aesthetic, emotional and intellectual nourishment and pleasure
>giant global megacorp emails you to tell you you’re doing it wrong and must change your ways
how do streamcucks cope with the subservience and humiliation?
>b...b...b...b...b...b...b...but its """"""convenient"""""""
>muh jew overlords
>muh HDD prices

Same. I still buy a lot of vinyl but Apple is handy for when I'm at work or in the car. Back in the day I used to rip all of my CDs but that got tiresome. Even managing an illegally DL'd digital library is more effort than I'm willing to put in these days.

ugh I know right? constructively engaging in a rewarding and interesting hobby for a few minutes a week is SO tiring

imagine even touching this shit with a ten foot pole for music is and should be free
>>
>>130400842
ehhh I don’t really agree, at least not for current, independent artists. I probably spend twice what a Spotify sub costs every month on Bandcamp but I don’t mind paying for music I really like because I know most of it goes to the artist instead of them getting like a billionth of a penny and the rest going to investors and the CEOs latest yacht or space rocket or w/e. and also plus when I pay I want something in return. for music that means I want the files, not just temporary and conditional access to them.
but copyright should last maybe 20 years or something, no way am I paying for old stuff I will pirate it all day long without mercy
>>
>>130396680
just create a new account?????????????
>>
>>130400765
The hobby is in the listening. I'm too old to be fannying about with ID tags getting everything just how I want it like the OCD autist I am. Taking that kind of shit out of the equation was much better for my mind. Plus I can easily delete and re-download whenever I want.
>>
>>130396680
Spotify is a jew app why use it when Apple music exists
>>
>>130401145
Girls get the ick if you can't show them your Spotify Wrapped.

a jaded perspective.
curating your own experience, discovering and finding new music for yourself instead of gulping down the algoslop as you’re directed has its own rewards too. with very little know-how and a single, simple piece of software the data itself is retrieved from online sources and formatting it to your own specification can be managed in a couple of clicks. the whole is the work of perhaps 30 seconds.
but we're all just so busy aren't we? the few minutes you save per week by surrendering control of yet another significant interest to yet another soulless corporation gives you that much more room in your busy schedule to, say, piss the time away on 4chan, like youre doing now.

>>130399572
Same thing happened to me. I think it was xmanager or some shit. Then I found out my girl was on a family plan the whole time and could have gotten me on for free at any time lmfao
But seriously fuck Spotify if I had to pay I would rather use apple music and I would just download music like the old days before that. I only listen to the same shit on repeat anyway.
>>
>>130399387
this, spotify is gay and is missing tons of shit
>>
>>130401207
You can create your own playlists in Spotify how do niggas still not know this.

>apple music
why not Bandcamp? that way the artists actually get paid a decent cut
>>
>>130396680
Should have not been a zoomer that pays for subscription services. Try torrenting everything next time.
