When people get too deep into berklee circle jerk shit they just start throwing in random time sigs for no reason other than to be dorks.The other thing too is that once you're actually decent at playing music doing odd time signatures isn't difficult at all. The type of people that a weird time impresses are people who can barely play. This is the same with anything that's overly technical, once you have skill there's pretty much nothing you can't play. Creativity and good ideas are always going to prevail over muscle memory and motor skills
