Vaporwave in my opinion got made redundant because of Synthwave due to similar styles and aesthetic. It didn't help that the community devolved into a bunch of posers and autists arguing over what was vaporwave and what was not like they were tasting wine. We're never going back to the era of albums like Late Night Delight and I really wish it did. Vaporwave for older generations who grew up in the 80s was cathartic because it felt like going back to better times.
