>>130446107Nah, I'll take most of his records before this one over it. I would say it's his last significant artistic statement though, really pushing the slow psychological descent of 808s/MBDTF/Yeezus to a logical conclusion. You could say it's overlong and disjointed, but at its heart it's Kanye basically pulling himself in three or four directions and being unable to tell who is really looking back at him in the mirror. The theme ends up justifying the flaws, and the subsequent revisions really did make it feel like a developing work of art when the gimmick was still fresh. Still not my favorite as a whole but it has its moments like Ultralight Beam, Real Friends and No More Parties in LA, and it sure as shit beats everything since.
>>130446125It's better than that piece of shit Yeezus
>>130450197That's an interesting analysis. For my placement, I'd rank it about the same, but I think what he's driving at is the same "messy A list celebrity" image that he was really starting to push on MBDTF, though it's a lot more convincing on Pablo. All of the Lights is make believe, but Real Friends is true. It also has my single favourite kanye bar. >My ex says she gave me the best years of her life>I saw a recent picture of her, I guess she was right
>>130446107I like this album solely because of the cover having buttcheeks, but 30 hours is cool too.
