>puts this on while drunk>literally no bad songs>ends with the best song of their careerMight be the best album of all-time
>>130448091Stop Making Sense instantly made the studio versions on this album obsolete.
>>130448091Excellent take. >>130448131Both the studio and the live versions are great and can co-exist with eachother.
>>130448131Incorrect. Both versions are enjoyable for different reasons
>>130448091soul mining is the best album from that year
>>130448143>>130448184They're fine but maybe a little thin and dry. The live versions are just better recorded imo.
>>130448091>Put this on>It's total shit
>>130448091its great but the peak remains 77 and fear of music
Fellow TH friends, explain the hate for this album to me. I've always enjoyed it. The band doing this fun tropical-funk-world-latin hybrid stuff really suits them. There's ONE dogshit song on it (Facts of Life) but one bad song doesn't make a whole album bad. Why does this project get so much hate compared to their others?
For me, it’s “Remain In Light” all day everyday for eternity, but this is a close second.
>>130448410>get a talking heads album as a gift>it's little creatures
>>130448091>Talking Heads post-RemainNo thanks, I'll stick with the first 3 albums.
>>130448091>Listen to it sober Wow! It's total dog shit!
>>130450259>the first three albums But they had four up to RIL. Five if you count "The Name of This Band"Which one are you not counting?
>>130448091Everything is good when you're drunk man
>>130450259Hipster retardation like this is always gay
>>130448091I think it's their best album. Remain in Light's b-side sucks.
>hear Name of This Band and Stop Making Sense before the 77 and Speaking in Tongues>dont want to listen to the studio versions cause they have no energyshoulda listened to the studio albums first I guess but they are so dull compared to the live cuts ins insane. That said see David Byrne live if you can, dude still puts on amazing shows
This must be the place is definitely an all time great, some of the middling tracks are more forgettable styling of stuff they did better in the past
>>130448410Naked is solid but yeah the two prior albums are like 1 good song each
>>130448437Remain in Light and Fear of Music actually
>>130448498Its generally considered their last true artistic and ambitious release after a couple mediocre pop heavy albums
