Pixies, Sonic Youth, Archers Of Loaf, Fugazi, Polvo, Superchunk, Rocket From The Crypt, Drive Like Jehu, Breeders, Sugar, Unwound, Dogbowl, Dinosaur Jr, Sebadoh, Versus, Pavement, Built To Spill, Sunny Day real estate, Lemonheads, posies, poster children, bikini kill, sleater-kinney, guided by voices, butterglory, built to spill, shudder to think, jawbox, swirlies

Essentially these bands fall under the huge umbrella of 90s indie rock or 90s American college rock, which each of them being a subgenre of that umbrella.
