I definitely get not liking it as it's almost the polar opposite of a record like AtF but that's what draws me to it. Meanwhile, Ohms is a lot like Gore if they were also trying to make it feel like AtF. Just misses the mark for me.

>>130465350I'm fine, I just generally take to their later stuff more. I like the band more moody and spacey than straight alternative metal. SNW's my favorite because it's like their equivalent of The Cure's Pornography, while also really pushing into the sort of soft-hard dynamics and soundscapes that an album like KNY would run away with, minus the hard drugs. I think AtF was trying to do all that, but for my tastes I don't think the band was very successful in finding it yet. WP and S/T inched closer before something clicked on SNW. But that's my feelings on the matter.

They "fell off" after the self titled and basically up until the past couple years when they became total tik tok music. They always put out quality music but were not a huge band unlike Korn. Also Korn is probably still bigger than Deftones right now, they can sell out an arena TiktokTones cannot
