did people actually like nu-grunge?
>>
>>130471807
How does one define such a thing?
>>
>>130471813
just listen to bleed happy. i don't see how people didn't hate nirvana after that.
>>
Carson Daly wasn't around for Cobain
>>
>>130471807
Why does this make me look like a tweaker?
>>
>>130471807
I'm glad people are finally realizing that Nirvana were nü-grunge, unlike real grunge bands such as Mudhoney.
>>
>>130472190
if your "music" """genre""" encompasses alice in chains, pearl jam, nirvana, mudhoney, green river, melvins, stone temple pilots, l7, toadies, babes in toyland, foo fighters and soundgarden despite barely any of them sounding even remotely alike, then your "music" """genre""" is not based on music at all
>>
>>130472137
Holy shit, cobain is ghostposting
>>
>>130472223
ghost? he's the most famous homeless person
>>
>>130472190
Meat Puppets who he brought on stage for the unplugged cover of their songs. It was like him giving homage to the originators/first wave of Grunge
>>
>>130472217
daily reminder nirvana ripped off the eagles and the pumpkins
>>
>>130472621
Didn't.
Cry about it.
>>
>>130471807
why'd this nigga dress like a homeless guy?
guy, you're a millionaire who literally has nothing to do all day.
you couldn't mix in a shower and a hair wash

image conscious nigga's (even the ones trying to create a negative, 'non-conformist' one) are the worst.

No. I dont even like Grunge anymore.

I realized its almost as unskilled as Punk if not more... Like god damn the riffs and the arrangement suck. Grunge was style over substance, except if those substances were drugs like heroin.
>>
>>130471807
calling grunge a real musical genre is one of the most plebeian things you can say about rock music
>>
bump

Loose-fitting clothes to help mitigate the trapped stomach nerve.
Fucking idiot, dude.
>>
>>130485138
Im pretty sure the massive amount of heroin he was shooting did the lions share of that. Dude could take a shower.
>>
>>130472217
>alice in chains, pearl jam, nirvana, mudhoney, green river, melvins, stone temple pilots, l7, toadies, babes in toyland, foo fighters and soundgarden
All have similarities.
>>
>>130471807
If soft grunge is who you are looking for then soft grunge dated health goth on tumblr a million years ago before tumblr was acquired by yahoo, nu grunge are like smashing pumpkins if billy corgan had understood the power of distortion and feedback like derek trucks do
>>
Anyway....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7BDlXv0Z1U
>>
>>130486528
yeah no
>>
>>130471807
what you didn't like their collab with tupac?
>>
1996 was the last year than anything considered grunge had any possibility of being good
Stone Temple Pilots - Tiny Music... Songs From The Vatican Gift Shop
Soundgarden - Down On The Upside
that was it. subgenre finished. pack it up. and STP was more a power pop band at that point, and better for it.
>>
>>130472217
Genres in general are meme bullshit and don't really mean that much, aside from telling you some veeery vague and general characteristics. People put way too much value in it. You should be into individual bands in artists instead of being loyal to genres. Artists inspire and are inspired by other artists from completely different genres basically always, the genre barrier gets broken constantly.

When trump played rocking in the free world while on the escalator that was iconic like an adam curtis documentary, i think that was the opening move that would set the pace to the campaign and the disruptive grace to the movie were lapidary to perceive as disruptive with movement that were symbolic on a political level but also on the level to rockism and if that was not true why were donald trump on that escalator listening to rocking in the free world like experiencing the 80s donald trump must still have been at the 50s at the 80s and not yet read that jg ballard story about reagan and rockism was often the target to political angst to the republican party madison cawthorne got fired to narcing about the republican cokes i am not sure i believe republicans are doing coke at this point anymore standards have fallen anyway rockism was often the target to right wing authoritarianism angst and symbolism this was not realized right away though because during the obama years rockism was often the target was to the angst from the more conservative biden catholic police collaborator wing to the democratic party that though biden was only vice president at the time still exerted powerful influence over the affairs to rock industry, anyways this trump psyop come running so hot so full bore that rock has not fully come back to cognizance from getting knocked that far upside the head upside the mind but i think with a moment to cognizance the best thing to do were to take a step back think moment and turn the volume to eleven on the solid state mesa boogie speakers that’s what the speakers are for that’s what the speakers are for
