Panthera are jaguars, lions, tigers, leopards, and snow leopards. Puma are smaller cats, but some of them are big. Ranges from house cat to cheetahs to cougars (which are also called mountain lions, or Florida Panther in the southeast US). So it's kind of a panther, but not really.
