But they were just a pop group and nobody even listened to them. They weren't trying to break bounderies they were just trying to recapture the fun of 60s pop music. They weren't even remotely political or even punk in the sense of the word it would come to be known. They are perhaps punk in the same way the undertones are. But there is nothing really groundbreaking or revolutionary about them, and they absolutely would have cut off their toes to be famous rather than seen as the first punk band
