>>130484151Got any good Molly Tuttle videos? She usually has really sick guitar licks in her solos. Here’s her cosplaying as Harley Quinn and singing a bluegrass version of Thriller. It’s very cringe but watchable https://youtube.com/watch?v=2Z2-eKkbBPk
>>130484069What is this? I don’t get the reference. I don’t listen to mainstream country only Hank Williams
>>130483920He's not strictly country, but I'm a big Chris Isaak fan and I think it's interesting how he and Dwight Yoakam both had very similar origins and career paths. Both were country boys who became citybillies, both came up playing in west coast punk clubs (Dwight in LA and Chris in SF) and built a strong indie following in the early years, both specialized in their own unique brand of 50s/60s neotraditionalism that was both nostalgic and modern, both had unsung expert guitarists who helped define their sound, and weirdest of all both got signed to the same label around the same time. But Dwight was a fun, affable honky tonk man who could deliver country radio hits while Chris was a moody sadboi who soundtracked David Lynch movies, so their commercial fortunes went in completely opposite directions.
>>130484416Yes he is awesome, I was playing the guitar line to Go Walking Down There today
Whitey Morgan is seriously underrated. I hope to see him again this year.
>>130485860What’s a good song
Rehashing some Big n Rich, Gretchen Wilson & Montgomery & Gentry. Takes me back to my Tennessee days
Dwight Yoakam is the shit, my neighbors are probably tired of hearing it though. I'm giving them a break today with pic related
>>130488004Fuck yeah, good ol' Brooks n Dunn.
>>130488004>Dwight Yoakam is the shit, my neighbors are probably tired of hearing it though. They threw a brick through your window so they could hear it louder!!!!
>>130487205"Let Me Roll" 's a great recent work.
>>130488004>>130488023Have you seen George Strait doing Boot Scootin’ Boogiehttps://youtube.com/watch?v=FiWp7XUTO4s
>>130489173Got more white people moving than Mr brightside ever did.
>>130490103It’s crazy that country is considered “objectively bad music” to many people who get excited and turn up the radio when they hear that warbling fag with eyeliner
Post some Hankhttps://youtube.com/watch?v=LrJkzd2oLb8https://youtube.com/watch?v=UDRzixp1Fvw
Post Malone’s country album is goodhttps://youtube.com/watch?v=VBUyjdjEeNM
>>130483920Dwight Yoakam has always seemed very very gay.
>>130493942Sounds like you’re player hating
>>130493942It's the jeans, isn't it.
>>130492973It's a socially conditioned prejudice. Most people can find country music they like with the right guidance and mindset.
>>130494602Also the mimsy way he's crossing his legs.
>>130495338>mimsy lmao
>>130484416Lyle Lovett walked the same path and was better than both.
>>130484416Great analysis but is Chris Isaak obscure and unsuccessful compared to Dwight Yoakam?
Wake up, CoffeeCamo, Climb treeWet line, EighteenFish hunt, golf drink
>>130497225Kind of, he's in that purgatory where he's too well known to have much indie cred but just outside the mainstream enough to be a cult artist.
