Is he overrated or just knows a lot of good musicians to collaborate with? I feel like he takes all the credit. He has an amazing range though.

>>130487197Mike is talented but is (or at least was) a little too full of himself for someone whose musical schtick is about not being too serious. Faith No More was a gateway to a lot of good stuff for me, but these days Mike's quirks specifically have kinda worn thin and I appreciate the rest of the band more. Same for Mr. Bungle, Trey Spruance was the real heart.
>>130487255>Mike is talented but is (or at leastyeah, after the 2010s he's been fairly inconsistent desu>Mr. Bungle, Trey Spruance was the real heart.Disagree. Mr bungle was a group effort, mainly between spruance-patton-dunn. The band worked because all the members brought something to the table
>>130487197For me, it's Angel Dust.
>>130487197He just enjoys a lot of different music and likes to experiment.
His midlife crisis is insanely embarrassing to watch.
>>130491711The Peeping Tom era?
>>130491743That was rough but I’m talking about touring at 50 on a demo tape he made when a teenager. Also the hair.
Did he actually get a face tatt?

>>130487197He doesn't "take" all the credit, it's his dumb fanboys that give him all the credit. The only one band he does deserve most of the credit for is Fantômas. He is truly great at vocals though and has interesting sonic ideas throughout his different projects.
>>130491711YOU'RE PERFECT - YES IT'S TRUE
he obviously has that legendary vocal range but beyond that his vocal tone is mediocre and his songwriting is nothing special, Angel Dust is good and thats about it
His album with the Avett bros is pretty good desu
