so when did you realize it's their magnum opus?
When I listened to it 15 times in a row. Haven't done that with an album since 2001.
>>130494137This. I've been obsessed for three days straight. It's been such a long time since that's happened for me. This album has such a special atmosphere I can't stop diving back into it.
>>130494120I had a feeling before it even dropped, just a feeling. Hearing prophecy made that feeling go from a sensation to something more tactile. Hearing it affirmed that for me, Father and Son sort of pulled me into the inferno, Naraka made me realize there is something different to it, like the way that beat, currently as it stands my favourite track is Blood in the Labyrinth…I have been listening to Boards of Canada for about 20 years now, I can say with great certainty this album has changed my life in a way that only a few have. I also felt blessed to have had my first listen with my kids who are young, but already like Boards of Canada. I really feel like this album will be something people will look back upon, I feel like it’s going to define this era of music. There will always be detractors, it doesn’t matter what they think, I really like it. Watch and see, there will be people and artists who make spiritually themed electronic music in an attempt to imitate or emulate Inferno. It’s defied my expectation and I love it. My wife is probably getting annoyed because it’s all I have been talking about for the last month.
It's time to come home.
>>130494320what is this?
>>130494337what BoC tries to imitate for two decades.
>>130494120It's another classic
>>130494120ive listened to it 6 times and its still dogshitabsolutely their worst album
>>130494120Hydrogen Helium Lithium. I was uncertain which way it would go up to that point, but as soon as it started, all resistance melted away. I'm so incredibly jealous of them.
I struggle to remember anything from this album when I'm not listening to it. Even TCH and TH have more memorable moments than this. I just hope the overhyped reaction to the album is just a result of music being total shit in the 2020s.
>>130496006it's a cool track (probably the best of the bunch) but the melody and orchestration is very clichéd hollywood movie tier. didn't like it at first listen, now i admit i would proud if i had done it myself
>>130496006>I'm so incredibly jealous of themit's a good feeling, very few artists do that to me, like someone stole the song from my soul
I like it but its too long and runs out of steam near the end8/10Naraka and Prophecy at 1420mhz are my standout tracks
>>130498758>runs out of steam near the endThat's a weird thing to say considering it has an amazing climax.
>>130498767The last 4-6 tracks just kind of blend togetherI'm sure I'll come to appreciate them more on additional listens
>>130498758>>130498767>>130498836You Retreat In Time And Space is my fav song from the record. Definitely great climax
>>130499027AKA Everything You Do Is Still A Balloon
>tfw Arena Americanada
>>130494348Lol not even close, this shit sounds like a poor man's William Orbit and Steve Roach collab... and it sucks.
>>130499494Arena Americanada quietly mogs Naraka on the DL while being lowkey
>>130499865If you mute the audio on this video and listen to Arena Americanada, it works really well.https://youtu.be/-aMCzRj3Syg?si=FtSgbF1al7lmVqxw&t=7
