>>130501314>60s one direction threadcould've been a /wpop/ post, old /mu/ would've clowned on your ass for even insinuating you liked this shitty boyband
>>130501314Based, love George
>>130501331That's one of two actually good records George managed to pull off in his lifetime (albeit with the help of Spector and Lynne respectively). You should post Gone Troppo, Somewhere in England or any other of his numerous excrements instead
>>130501314Dude redirected John more than Paul
>>130501429>>130501469>>130501473Completely agreed. I'm also gay and love boyband pop from the 60s. Happy pride month!

Not to discount the quality material beyond ATMP but I wonder if a lack of conflict for him post-breakup put his creative fire out. He was a frustrated songwriter with a big backlog and he blew it all instantly. It’s like he finally escaped John and Paul’s shadow but then it turned out that, in fact, he was the kid brother they always made him out to be. Anyway I really enjoy his live in Japan record. It’s amazing how whimsical he would become after he got done being mad. I blame Monty Python.
