Why is it everything "new" in metal is just repurposing what other genres did decades ago? This doesn't just go for metal subgenres but even individual metal bands that are paraded around as fresh or innovative when it's; usually just taking what some band did in the 70s-90s and growling over it.Is metal creatively bankrupt, or has it just reached a creative dead end where it's future is an all-you-can-eat genre buffet?
