why are they rarely discussed here? their music is great
>>
Because they're extremely goated.

nonphenomenal lineage to am 180 transition gives me chills every time
>>
>>130504004
They were on the cusp of /mu/core status circa 2012
>>

Theyre underrated in general. They deserve as much credit as modest mouse or built to spill
>>
>>130504324
Are they really underrated though? I sure as shit remember people blasting in 2007.

For whatever its worth it I still think theyre "big" for an indie band but theyre definitely overlooked compared to some of their contemporaries despite making some classic records that can go toe to toe with any of them

Grandaddy is Gen Xers whose music doesn't fit into an established genre. If you can't get attached to a scene or movement or easily categorized milieu, then your advertising and marketing will be negatively impacted.

/mu/ prefers lethargic music over energetic music, so the band doesn't receive attention from the typical user here

I try to bump everytime i see a thread. Sophtware slump is probably my favourite album of the late 90s/00s indie rock era.
>>
'miner at the dial-a-view' or whatever is a good song, that's all i've heard tho

I'm intrigued.
Is it vocals music or electronical?

nvm just listened to one of the gayest things in my life
>>
>>130504004
Aw fuck, I knew there was something I forgot to do recently. I missed my chance to see them play this live last month. Damn.

I saw the Toronto show and, at the risk of exaggerating, it was fucking transcendent.
