Can anyone explain what Lateralus is about? I’ve listened to it many times high, on acid, or mushrooms and I still don’t understand

Except tick and leeches, which personally, I think is a reflection on all that tears you down in life. Drains your energy. Sucks you dry...if you will... lol. Anyway, it's not a rabbit hole, more of an Alice in wonderland hole. Basically, to me, the whole album is about self reflection, on a personal level, self reflection, on a social, belonging type of level, and the higher mind, elevated consciousness level. Cause you can either learn from your mistakes and grow, or suffer the same fate again and again.

Starting at 1 we have 72826, root Chakra (survival-based instinct), 2nd is opiate (sacral chakra (anger, lust) going all the way to the 7th with Fear inoculum, with crown Chakra (being the spiritual center of knowing & being).Lateralus to me feels all about communication and expression (5th/throat chakra). And 10,000 Days feels very insightful (being the 6th/third eye chakra) and helps us to better see ourselves. Undertow 3rd being willpower, Ænima being the 4th center for love & relationship.

They needed something heavy, thats why it 'doesnt fit' (i love the drums and the energy) and the lyrics take on a different meaning (especially for me cause 'is this what you wanted, is this what you had in mind' crushed me the first time i heard it cause it was my first time tripping balls)
