I don't understand how anyone call this anything other than the best jazz album ever made. It's the most fun and unique one by far.
>>130513918>jazz>unique and funLol no
>>130513918it's entry level. he threw a bunch of shit at the wall and some of it stuck. Anyway, at least it IS jazz. Picrel can't say the same.
>>130514649the title track is great though
>Black Saint and the Sinner LadyI've been a fan for years. Gave it a re-listen earlier today. I still think the first three tracks are peak. Fourth track drags a little imo but ends strong.
>>130513918Overrated but pic rel remains the GOAT
Best jazz album feeling like some 2nd-rate borderline cabaret classical music. A Coltrane for instance cuts the crap and gives us the jazz - he knew he wasn't outcomposing the real composers.
>>130516196lol gay
>>130514649i think miles believes anything he did was jazz. this album isnt 'in' and it isnt 'out' i guess this is really jazz, freed from its form, as proto hip hop.
>>130513918>3X minutes of boring bullshit omg ! greatest album ever ! - aoty/rym.
I have pleb jazz taste, and Kind of Blue remains my favorite jazz album.
>>130514483>dude power chords LMAO
>>130513918>>130515803Both of these albums are notes of interest and worth hearing at least once.I'd also add picrel to the list.
>>130518028>dude horns LMAOEvery jazz song sounds like elephants in distress.
>>130521784you dont speak the "language" so no one cares what you think
>>130521807>the languageEbonics?
>>130521784>elephants in distresssounds based, guess you're too low-T to enjoy stuff like that. your soft delicate ears should stick to anime soundtracks and death grips
>greentext conveniently removes quotation marks
>>130521784listen to it enough and you start to sing along with the elephants, after youve been singing along for a long enough time you will sometimes even know what they are going to sing next even when you havent heard the song before
>>130513918I prefer the earlier material like blues & roots that mingus released around the turn to the 60s or something like that
