is this the greatest song ever made?
>>130520910the fact that that's their most popular and well known song amongst normoids makes me actively angry. not even top 20 in their catalog
>>130520910It's not even the best song from that album...
I mean the song preceding it (the world at large) is a pretty good candidate, so no.
>>130520938The one after too (Ocean Breathes Salty, probably my favourite off this album), Float On is alright, but it's a low point in that part of the album.
Little Motel mv use to be the saddest thing that you would see posted onto reddit
Edit the sad parts is an actual good modest mouse candidate
>>130520910Not even in their top 20 best songs. Try again.
>>130520910ALL THE PEOPLE THAT YOU KNOW ALL THE PEOPLE THAT YOU KNOW
>>130520910No, but its a good pop song and a bright one at that. Modest Mouse has generally better songs in the first half of their discography.>>130524066Edit the Sad Parts has some of the most 'troubled teen' lyrics put on record, and musically is quite lacking. Though it does have the unique credit of having a rare guitar solo which does lead to a great outro... if not for the two minutes of un-necessary silence depending on which version you're listening to. I say musically lacking more from the point of playing, like a lot of early MM its easy but not so good for jamming (which is where the fun in early MM comes from, you can be sloppy and fuck around with the tracks, whereas a slower song like that doesn't really work as well and there isn't anything going on aside from the main chords where Isaac tends to use a lot of fills, harmonics, string bends etc.).
